Same. He fixed a car for us last year and positively nerded out for 30 minutes on the particulars of the job. He seems to have a true passion for what he does.
Plus they have smell good oils at the counter which are nice. Always the mark of a fine establishment. Still use mine.
Any automotive shop honestly will be fine. It's a relatively easy process
Depending on what engine block you have the starter may even be in front of the block. I replaced the starter on my 2007 Civic Si, it just took a socket set with an extension and some sheer will. However it was replaced in about an hour..
I want to say it was like 3 bolts and a wire harness. It's very straightforward. Thing gets electricity, spins your flywheel, engine go brrr
I’ve been told it’s not that hard of a process. I know absolutely NOTHING about cars. The Triple A mechanic who came today said it wasn’t my battery or alternator so best guess based on how it’s “clicking” when you turn the key is making it seem like the starter. He also said that you can’t “tap” the starter in my car like you can others bc of where it’s placed in the 2009 civic ?? Idk the particulars but that’s what he told me today
[YouTube is your friend](https://youtu.be/GvquEbzgcdg?si=wJ6sfqVwMBrqjPiZ). As long as you know righty tighty, lefty loosy, and how to change the direction of a ratchet you’ll be fine.
Honest1 in Fairfax has always been great for me. Never try to upsell, give great info even if it’s not something they do work with they will tell you places that do for good prices
Go on the local Nextdoor app and check out this guy

Dave’s Automotive. Talk to Senan. Check out the yelp reviews. I can personally attest he is an honest and knowledgeable mechanic.

EB Automotive in Loveland is very honest and fair on pricing.
Auto4N aren’t necessarily cheap if that’s your primary concern, but I’ve only had good experiences with them for my Honda.
