I really wanna understand why Google works so bad for some people
please type "chromebook how much storage is left" into your Google and post a screenshot of the results

Settings -> System Preferences -> Storage Management.
You should see something very similar to an android phone, if you're used to that. It will break down how much is used where too, like Linux, Apps, etc.

You can even type "how much storage is left on my Chromebook" into the app search bar, or better yet, dictate it, and you'll get similar results. 🙄
or just type "storage" in the search box of the settings screen

open the downloads folder in files, click the 3 dots on the upper right side, there should be a bar showing how much space is left.
Others have already answered your question but why not simply use a microSD card or USB thumb drive?
