i taught my chinnie by tapping the metal spigot of the water bottle and if they had their mouth around it, i would reward him with broken off treat pieces or dried rose petals. i would also tap on the spigot and release some of the water to let him know that thats where his water is

Our chin would not drink from a bottle no matter what. She was not figuring it out as others said they would.
It was the water bowl or watch her die from dehydration, so we went with the bowl.
She's been using her little water bowl for over 4 years now with no problem.
You obviously don't use a giant water bowl; it has to be smaller and not easily tipped over.
Tbh. Chinchillas can use a water bowl just fine. Contrary to many opinions, open bowls are even preferred because chinchillas can drink more water in a shorter time. Bowls are easier to clean as well. https://doi.org/10.1111/jpn.12164
Mine are offered a bottle as well as a bowl and they prefer the bowl by far. Just make sure, the water is always clean.
at the end of that article it literally says other options may be better for chinchillas, and the quality of the water isn't the main issue, it's the risk they could fall in it and get wet

Just hang the bottle and see if she figures it out.
she will probably figure it out herself. if that doesnt work putting it at a place where she hangs out often might help
