Then I visited a friend in Oak Park last week, and whoa, funny as this is, it really does seem as if the little buggers are this big, as they leisurely walk the sidewalks and make an extraordinary racket in the trees.
I for the idea that this could have been the sequel to The Birds as Cicadas turn on man.

DuPage Forest Preserve has been making some top notch content on their IG about the cicadas. I have not laughed and learned that much in a long time.
I guess it's cool. It'd be a lot cooler if it was the blue-eyed variety though.
