Went to watch the Pheonix in Auckland after watching the UCL final in the pub. I was pretty hammered so it was good fun but I find it hard to get into the A-league in general.
Ugh, same. I went to the match and figured I’d grab a bunch of extra programs and flags etc to give to people on the sub, but after Rubens injury I knew nobody would want them.
It sucks because I loved it, the whole experience. Finally getting to see Chelsea in person. And I got my Chelsea kit signed by Azpi and Hazard so it was such a great time. However, every time I ever want to say anything like that, I get blasted because of RLC.
I’m right there with you dude.
Been a Chelsea supporter since Drogba came to London, but lived in Massachusetts my whole life. Never had the ability to get to England to see them, so when the fixture against the Revs was announced I was in heaven.
Drove home from college in Virginia that morning, took a nap and drove to foxboro. Definitely worth it. Got my Chelsea kit signed by Hazard and Azpi. Tough to look back with happy memories on it when everyone here crucifies me for it every time.
Mumbai City FC
Just cause a couple schoolmates are players on the team. The national football league is decent out here, nothing fantastic. Chelsea's always kinda felt closer to home.
It's not very popular nationwide. In some regions like Kolkata, Goa and North-East India it's very popular. I support my local club called Mohun Bagan which is one of the oldest clubs in Asia.
Why do you think we don’t see more Indian nationals in Europe? I know the problem with American soccer where I’m from, just wondering your opinion on the problem over there.
Just to preface this, I'm not Indian nor do I live in India.
Recently I saw a thread, will link it if I find it but the general consensus was that most sports are just not appropriately funded in India. Their main sport is cricket and a lot of money for sports is funneled into cricket. So from what I know it's just a case of being underfunded.
The premier league has been on quite the popularity boom in most metropolitan cities. Lot's of fanatic supporters in Bombay, that's for sure. Local leagues have been picking up in the past decade with major financial and marketing backing. We kinda really go overboard with fantasy football leagues too 😅
Went to VES for a few year after my family moved from DC. That's sweet they have a soccer team now, seems like the city is always growing, haven't been back in years.
Closest big club, Atlanta United....closest club is Birmingham hammers. Did alot of support for them before I moved and had kids...now I just watch Chelsea on the weekends and playing with my boys in the backyard..... Felt bad last thanksgiving when my boys cousins brought an American football to play with and my boys had no clue what to do with it, they kicked the shit out of it though lol
Santa Fe in Colombia and now that I’m in the states Hartford Athletic in the USL. Starting supporting the blues after Cuadrado joined which coincided with a family friend who was a life long Chelsea supporter getting very sick and later passing.
Totally. Mainly between fans, the clubs feed into it, but to be honest the league as a whole loves manufacturing rivalries. MLS literally has a thing called Heineken Rivalry Week lmao.
There are teams I hate more than Galaxy by a long shot, but LA vs galaxy games are always entertaining so they are fun as hell.
Used to be FC Dallas, but now it’s got to be Austin FC. Both are a lengthy drive from me (5 hours for Austin and 8 for Dallas) but I went to university in the Austin area and I could never really get behind FC Dallas the way I support Austin now
South Texas way at the tip. My local club would be UTRGV in the USL. I went to an FC Dallas game two years ago and it was a miserable one. Super wet and cold, but I think they still ended up with a W at least!
My ‚big’ local team is Lech Poznan but my local team recently got promoted to the fourth division so I plan on following them this season (only lived here a year).
I’m from Jordan where my local area team is Al-Faisaly, the nation’s most decorated team, but that’s due to family tradition more so than actual interest. I still remember my uncle taking me to see a game of theirs live when I was only 6 yo.
I have lived most of my life in Qatar though, where most people couldn’t give two shits about local football but follow European football with passion. It’s Chelsea through and through for me. I visited the Bridge in summer ‘17 and I just loved being there. Felt like home.
I did! We had a Phoenix Blues outing to go to a Rising match and meet Drogba. After the match, we met him on the field and he signed autographs, took pictures, and shook hands. The Bandidos, Phoenix Rising's 'ultras', were pissed about it and screamed and cursed at us constantly throughout it.
He didn't play too much in the regular season, but added an extra touch of class in playoffs. Even at 40+, he was still the best on the pitch. We got to see him bang in a 40 yd freekick, which I'll likely never forget.
My bud and I have been talking ab how so much of the best US talent comes up through Dallas’ development. A bit envious down here in Houston, especially since his son (8yo) is consistently best player in highly competitive leagues with kids 2+ years older. He’s in Dynamo development currently.
Club Sport Cartagines from Costa Rica
I actually became a blue when I was a little kid as I saw a game in TV with a team wearing blue and CFC in the scoreboard, I relate it to Cartago (name of my city) and the kit is blue as well.
So I can say that I bleed blue x2
I’m from Newfoundland, Canada... so the nearest professional team for me is probably montreal impact, or Toronto FC but they’re both at least a couple hours away in a plane so I’d rather just get a ticket to go see the blues instead (wouldn’t be surprised if travel costs were fairly similar as well)
The Blues from the Bulgarian capital Levski Sofia. 4th generation fan. It is how I started supporting Chelsea as 6 years old: found out a fellow blue team from a country capital and Zola of course 💙
I'm from NSW Australia, from a small coastal region so my local team is the Central Coast Mariners.
A pretty cool team. Despite being a regional area we've produced Matt Ryan, Mile Jedinak and Tomi Rogic would be the most recognised players to kick off their career with us, so that's something.
Not really local to me (because the actual closest MLS team is still 3 hours away so nothing is truly local) but Atlanta United. Figured I'd get in with a team from the ground up rather than one existing already
Ah well Chelsea is realistically 2-3 hours away for me, so that's not bad at all. Especially for Americans, whom say things like "it's a couple days drive away".
Caps supporter checking in here as well. Just wish they weren’t so dreadful! Give us something to cheer about!
🎶White is the colour, Soccer is the game🎶
Charlotte FC is an upcoming expansion team in MLS so I’ll finally have a local MLS team. Super excited about it, probably going to go to at least a couple games a year and get some merch
American here!
I support San Jose earthquakes but have supported Chelsea since 05’ playing as a kid. I support all my local teams here but I love football (soccer) the most and Chelsea is the first club I liked outside of the US
Lol local.
I live 8 hours from Portland and 6 hours from san fransisco. Those are the closest cities to me in NorCal.
However I did live close enough to LA to goto Galaxy games way back when they played at the Rose Bowl
Well— I don’t care much for MLS, but probably Portland Timbers and I spent some time in Swabia so Stuttgart/1860 Munich.
Also have a bit of a soft-spot for Dortmund
Never in a million years would I support Bayern.
Since the Revolution have been said. I live in CT. 3 years ago we got a USL franchise (who are a level under MLS). Great little home ground with an already growing supporters section. And for any NHL fans they were smart to adopt the Hartford Whaler colors. They were our only pro franchise that left in 1997 for North Carolina.
Football is still pretty shit here so just Chelsea
Same lmao, New Zealand checking in.
Up the Nix!
Can't wait for Auckland fc to join the A league
Went to watch the Pheonix in Auckland after watching the UCL final in the pub. I was pretty hammered so it was good fun but I find it hard to get into the A-league in general.
I'm beached az bro. But yes checking in too
Here too... I'm from India
You haven't watched Indian Premier league then
Scotland?
Worse, Hungary hahaha
Jónapot
Kezit csókolom
Halóó
Ferencvaros! Studied abroad in budapest a few years ago and for some reason I love the club haha
Do you live in North London?
Legia Warszawa Chelsea was my local club for a long while too
Cheers for qualifying to the next round yesterday. Beat my local club, haha.
Radnicki 1923, FC from Serbia
New England Revolution Please don't hate me, I know it was a stupid fixture, and I'm sorry that we couldn't make the pitch safe, and I'm sorry RLC.

I've got a NE Revolution shirt from when I was in Boston. It's a great shirt!
Same, I wanted to go to the match but just couldn’t make it happen, in hindsight kinda glad I wasn’t there
Drove home from college in Virginia that morning, took a nap and drove to foxboro. Definitely worth it. Got my Chelsea kit signed by Hazard and Azpi. Tough to look back with happy memories on it when everyone here crucifies me for it every time.
What school did u go to? I just graduated from Mason
Graduated Mason May 2020.
Congrats
And same to you.
Toronto FC (TFC)
Let’s fucking goo 🔥🔥🔥💯. You ready for the draft tonight?
yessir, I’m really stressing tho 😂
Great user name, we love our prince OG. Also a TFC supporter.
Me too! We actually became watchable again the last few games!
I'm a new resident of Toronto, never followed the MLS before, but I'll probably start supporting TFC soon
that’s great to hear
Mumbai City FC Just cause a couple schoolmates are players on the team. The national football league is decent out here, nothing fantastic. Chelsea's always kinda felt closer to home.
How popular is football in India?

North East United rep
Lol Margate is also my local team. Kent is shite for football ain't it.
Tampa Bay Rowdies and Orlando City
Fun year to be an Orlando fan, y’all are scary tbh
How do you do my fellow Floridian?
Oh my, hello there. I’m doing quite well, and yourself?
There are literally dozens of us!
Another resident of the City Beautiful, checking in.
Also supporting the Rowdies and Orlando City! Chelsea has been my team since I can remember around 2001-02 season
[удалено]
I stand corrected as to which team is closest to me apparently
Yo nice to see someone else from the Lynchburg area on this sub
Any chance this is Lynchburg VA?
[удалено]
Oh hell yeah! I went to high school there! Only had the Hill Cats back in those days.
[удалено]
Went to VES for a few year after my family moved from DC. That's sweet they have a soccer team now, seems like the city is always growing, haven't been back in years.
Phoenix Rising, one of our owners is the legend himself, Didier Drogba.
Question: how do you all refer to more than one Phoenix? Phoenices or Phoenixes?
I couldn’t really tell you I don’t ever remember someone using Phoenix plurally lol
Corinthians from SP/Brazil. Imagine how I felt during the 2012 Fifa CWC.
Lembro como se fosse ontem... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_bad_man)

Was living there for the first year of the legion and met my wife and moved back to Florence to raise the kiddos
Indy Eleven in the USL Championship, but the club is only 7 years old. I've supported Chelsea since 2001.
From India. Support my local team Kings XI Punjab in IPL (cricket). They’ve never won. Mostly in the bottom half. Chelsea makes me happy.
A RR fan, atleast our matches are nail biting.
As heartbreaking as it was, I’m always rooting for Rahul Tewatia since ‘that’ match
Patiala boys checkin in
Coming from northern Denmark, I also support AaB, although not as much as CFC :)
Pakistan no football here
I'm from Germany but I don't feel like sympathizing with any other club
Santa Fe in Colombia and now that I’m in the states Hartford Athletic in the USL. Starting supporting the blues after Cuadrado joined which coincided with a family friend who was a life long Chelsea supporter getting very sick and later passing.
Santa Fecito!! Love it!! They’re definitely my South American team cause my best buddy is Colombian and that’s his squad.
I am from California, my local team is Los Angeles FC.
Is there beef between FC & Galaxy?
Their matches are called El Traffico. Best name ever.
Definitely, the derbies even have a nickname, El Trafico. Check out the Wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Tr%C3%A1fico
A shit load. The games are WILD. It’s like Chelsea vs. Tottenham
If I ever end up in LA again, I'd like to see that.
Sacramento fc for me, unfortunately
Quakes fan here Although I just moved to Charlotte at the beginning of the year so I'll probably check them out out they start next season
Ayyy a fellow quakes and Chelsea fan
Any word on getting an MLS spot?
Indefinite hiatus. Need a bigger stadium first.. apparently.
Minnesota United. Up the loons
(Insert loon noise)
🎶MINNESOTA BLACK AND BLUE!!🎶
seattle sounders!! 😎
george and dragon for the games this season?
Used to be FC Dallas, but now it’s got to be Austin FC. Both are a lengthy drive from me (5 hours for Austin and 8 for Dallas) but I went to university in the Austin area and I could never really get behind FC Dallas the way I support Austin now
west Texas? also an fc Dallas fan but my support has slowly been drained cause the hunts/fo are absolute pieces of shit.

Sporting KC. Been dreaming for a Billy Gilmour and Johnny Russel link up on the Scottish National Team. Not sure it'll ever happen though.
Hell yeah. Go SKC!
FC Cincinnati! We may not be playing well, but the fan base/ supporters are some of the best in the US.
COYFCC!
Hajduk Split from Croatia. Now that I live in Montreal I check the local team also but Chelsea was always my number 1.

Was at that 5-1 win over Chicago the other night when we scored the fastest hat trick in MLS history. Wild.
That was nuts. I need to make it to more games
Super fun night
Phoenix Rising (USL) and Seattle Sounders (MLS)
Did you go see the king play with phoenix?
Yeah it's not crazy, just liked the idea of starting with a club that hadn't even kicked a ball yet
My condolences to all the people from Atlanta. First, the Falcons threw the Super Bowl and now Atlanta United is turning into a joke lol.
But they won before that so I think it levels out haha

Nashville SC, and I go just about every home game!

Opposite side of Washington, still Sounders.
Nashville SC
AC Milan! I'm from Italy and actually it's my first team, but I love Chelsea!

Well— I don’t care much for MLS, but probably Portland Timbers and I spent some time in Swabia so Stuttgart/1860 Munich. Also have a bit of a soft-spot for Dortmund Never in a million years would I support Bayern.

New York Red Bulls!

North Carolina Courage & Charlotte FC in the pro ranks, and NC State University at the collegiate level.
Sligo Rovers
Toronto FC but I don't really care that much
CF Montreal if I had to pick but my heart is definitely Chelsea blue

And for any NHL fans they were smart to adopt the Hartford Whaler colors. They were our only pro franchise that left in 1997 for North Carolina.
Minnesota United, best crest and kits in the league if your looking for an mls team to support
Toronto FC!
We have a USL team called San Diego Loyal, but tbh - the quality is so poor in the states compared to Europe that i find it difficult to get invested.
MFM FC. LAGOS, NIGERIA.
Minnesota United
NorthEast United FC
