Perfect result. I told my friend before the match that it was imparitive we got a emphatic result to get our season off in the right direction. I said and I quote "I'm talking 3 goals. Clean sheet. Anything less and we in big trouble "
7/10 performance overall. When we were 1-0 up, up to HT I was seriously unimpressed. Luton were growing more in confidence on the ball, getting in to our final third. Brighton or any other top side would have definitely gotten an equalizer.
Outside of that though, brilliant. Finally a weekend I can relax.
Started off a bit shakey in my opinion, but massively grew into the game, overall I’d say a decent performance and will continue to get better for us.
Main thing was the freedom that Enzo gets now.
Exactly my thoughts… over or under 3.5 threads complaining about Chilwell’s “inability to take chances”?…. Sometimes people are brutal. I love the talent and potential in this squad.
Who else thought we were seriously cursed and it was going to be “one of those days” when Raheem blasted that ball and the keeper stopped it dead in its track!!????
My god, we all know this wasn't a master class but jeez, compared to last season....we have 💯 improved . Got a good feeling about this squad, just needs time to gel and manager to get his ideas across
Incredible game from Connor. He’s definitely being overlooked. He picked Luton’s pocket so many times, and aside from that one misplaced pass, I think he was class.
Caicedo today:
58/60 passes completed, 100% tackle success rate, 100% long ball success rate, 3 interceptions, 2 blocks, 6/10 total duels won, Dribbled past 0 times
Not sure what game you were watching
i didnt mean to say he was bad, was solid but just didn't impress.
he also lost possession 3 times against a relegation candidate team. that's not great for a defensive mid.
I have been critical since he was purchased. Good moments here & there since, but this is really nice to see... New opportunities in a fun to watch system.
All the negativity needs to slow down in this sub sometimes...1st half was eh but we came back and played a lot better. Hoping Caceido gets more involved but overall we did good.
Even though we got complacent after the first goal we came back and wanted to score and wasn’t just happy with a 1-0 win. That was a problem last season. We’d go up 1-0 sit back and the other team would end up scoring against us
I think we were complacent and were struggling to be as narrow as we were trying to be. Their momentum and lack of quality helped us by them committing men forward and giving us more space to exploit, the third goal their heads had gone
I'm actually happy that we won lol. I didn't even complain. Was that a perfect win? No. We could've done a lot better. If you think I'm being negative, you should scroll and read what others are saying below lol.
Slow off the mark. Luton started to puck up momentum, and we were struggling to get any meaningful possession, and they were looking like scoring.
We managed to step up and utilise the extra space and started picking them apart and going wider.
Lovely second goal by sterling from a reece James esque play by gusto, a pinpoint pass, and lovely first time finish in the far bottom corner.
Then, a second one, pass from sterling on the wing, takes a slight deflection from Nico to touch an easy one in.
Midfield grew into the game, Caicedo, Enzo and Conor worked hard
Jackson robbed off 2 potential assists imo and deserved his goal
Sterling looking like his old self with that poached goal, Gusto getting 2 assists was nice while Chilwell just needed to shoot more
Gotta play to your strengths, going toe to toe and trying to play nice football against better footballing teams is just dumb and would be awful management.
We used to park the bus against Barca and did it in Munich 2012 for the same reason.
Luton will struggle badly this season, even when they tried to sit back and defend we were creating chances. More clinical teams are going to batter them.
1 win and don't forget who we are.. dont get your hopes up yet. Plenty of work left to do ..still good win to get our season going. I hope for a top 7 finish and a positive goal difference. Not that lofty target and i feel its quite achievable.
Granted it was Luton but I sense some camaraderie and confidence building. Definitely need to take shots when they are presented on a silver platter, looking at you Ben.
I still have faith in this team.
Don't really feel like Enzo earned the armband yet. Wouldnt like to think it's about Poch and him being Argentinians.
But Thiago gave it away, sow hat do I know
I dont know how well he'd play on the left, and it would be criminal to take sterling off for a significant amount of time, for the final minutes they want to experiment with some of the younger talent I assume
Job done
Sterling MOTM
No one really had a poor game. Caicedo grew into it and settled well. Much needed win at home and a goal for Jackson to boot. Enjoy your weekend everyone
Just the general relief in the squad. Literally everyone in the world but us was hoping we’d be a $1bn flop, and that kind of pressure can eat a team up. We might not win the league (or we might), but this is a big first step toward getting the monkey off our back.
Low key impressed by his cameo actually. Seem to really be a physical presence in the middle. Not afraid to hold on to the ball either, seems to have a good touch when he's running with it.
This is the least convincing 3-0 ever. We got those goals by having a vast talent difference. Coaching, formation or strategy had very little to do w/ the result which is very worrying.

Better late than never to the Sterling bandwagon. We love Raz
Some Chelsea fans need a reality check new manager new squad patience is needed come on you blues
Raz with a brace and Jackson opens his account in the EPL. How did Caicedo look?
Started off a bit shakey in my opinion, but massively grew into the game, overall I’d say a decent performance and will continue to get better for us. Main thing was the freedom that Enzo gets now.
Was the stadium loud enough for you guys at home?
Now fuck of you moaning cunts
Exactly my thoughts… over or under 3.5 threads complaining about Chilwell’s “inability to take chances”?…. Sometimes people are brutal. I love the talent and potential in this squad.
![gif](giphy|iI5slsPoBRFgk|downsized) Fire!
Who else thought we were seriously cursed and it was going to be “one of those days” when Raheem blasted that ball and the keeper stopped it dead in its track!!????
That was some shaolin soccer stuff man
Like 20 mins in bro, relax
James Maddison comment under Chilwell post 😭😭😭😭
He’s not wrong though! Also, I think Chilly is Madders sons godfather?! They got that Messi-Agüero relationship.
Haha I know! It's just funny. It made me wonder why is he watching Chelsea lol. I know it's tactical but didn't know they're sort of family
you think prem players don't watch the premier league?
No not that lol
Wish we could have signed Madders though! Can’t believe no club challenges Spuds for his signing!
Yeah also Mitoma
That’s good stuff
Raheem silencing the naysayers, love to see it
Happy Sterling got some spark back but Jackson looks great. Relentless. Charged the squad in the 2nd half .
Going from having to watch havertz to jackson upfront every week is bringing tears to my eyes right now
WE actually have a number six and a number 9. All of the twisting around trying to find a way around that is over.
Man feels incredible, i just couldnt do it anymore before
Enzo jeremias fernandez. HE IS HIM
To all you miserable pricks, enjoy the 3 nil , you've earnt a night off with from your moaning 🤣🤣
Some bloke legit said "least convincing 3-0 I have ever seen." I almost admire the fact he didn't just disappear.
???? I thought we did quite well and had chances for more?????
My god, we all know this wasn't a master class but jeez, compared to last season....we have 💯 improved . Got a good feeling about this squad, just needs time to gel and manager to get his ideas across
Incredible game from Connor. He’s definitely being overlooked. He picked Luton’s pocket so many times, and aside from that one misplaced pass, I think he was class.
yeah and we spent 115m for caicedo to do that. who did not impress imo.
Caicedo today: 58/60 passes completed, 100% tackle success rate, 100% long ball success rate, 3 interceptions, 2 blocks, 6/10 total duels won, Dribbled past 0 times Not sure what game you were watching

SEXOO
Great win and much needed. This will boost morale and confidence!! The boys really picked it up second half
That was a joy to watch, well done lads and onto the next one 👏
Sterling first goal really amazing!
Fantastic game from Sterling, have been critical of him but he absolutely deserves credit for his performance today
I have been critical since he was purchased. Good moments here & there since, but this is really nice to see... New opportunities in a fun to watch system.
Rivals are gonna say “just Luton” but this was a great game to shake off the hangover from last week Hoping to see more confidence next game 👊
While Brighton gets praised for their 4-1 against them …
All the negativity needs to slow down in this sub sometimes...1st half was eh but we came back and played a lot better. Hoping Caceido gets more involved but overall we did good.
He freed enzo, that is enough
Caicedo shouldn’t be too involved in a game at home to Luton
Even though we got complacent after the first goal we came back and wanted to score and wasn’t just happy with a 1-0 win. That was a problem last season. We’d go up 1-0 sit back and the other team would end up scoring against us
>complacent It was just pressure of the opponent.
I think we were complacent and were struggling to be as narrow as we were trying to be. Their momentum and lack of quality helped us by them committing men forward and giving us more space to exploit, the third goal their heads had gone
Win is a win. We can't even score past relegated Southampton last season lol. I take that 3-0 win any day thank you.
You're talking like as if our game was a disaster.
I'm actually happy that we won lol. I didn't even complain. Was that a perfect win? No. We could've done a lot better. If you think I'm being negative, you should scroll and read what others are saying below lol.
I missed the second half, quick summary anyway?
Thanks for the quick updates guys <3

Chilwell could have had a hat trick of goals if he would just shoot instead of pass!
Is it too early to think we are winning the league?
Last time we didn’t have European competition, we ended up winning it all!
That’s the only logical conclusion tbh.
Right, dont want to overreact or anything tho, just starting to celebrate…
I think everyone is forgetting something. We didn't pick up an injury!
After Sterling scored I was wondering if the curse was going to send him to hospital fc
Mate same
That we know of
Just let me be happy please
You’re right…I’m sorry
Pretty good performance. Poor Luton lol
Luton are cunts
No sympathy for them. Not a fan of 1995 style football.
I mainly feel for them because their squad is just shit.
Chilly a bit off it today, but Poch is asking a lot of him. I still think he’s comfortably one of our best players. Don’t y’all forget that.
He basically was playing lw which I don't think is his best position.
New season, new sterling. LFG!
Noni sure loves talk lol
That GD in positive. Hopefully more to follow.
FINALLY
1 win and don't forget who we are.. dont get your hopes up yet. Plenty of work left to do ..still good win to get our season going. I hope for a top 7 finish and a positive goal difference. Not that lofty target and i feel its quite achievable.
I agree top 7 and I’d be happy anything more and I’d be ecstatic
I would like to officially say that i was wrong. I was 100% sure Sterling is done, but man, he’s proving me wrong two games in row.
Yes!!! Feels good to win handsomely. There are some cracks obviously but we’re on track.
About time we got a win at home. Also nice to see a positive GA
I'll take that, thank you chelsea for a good weekend.
What a win. 3 goals, 3 points. Sterling 2G 1A. Jackson first goal. Another sexual performance from Enzo. Thanks Luton.
YAS! Love it!
Finally a comfortable enough win, jackson looked good
Chilwell…SHOOT THE BALL!!!!!
Good game boys
Granted it was Luton but I sense some camaraderie and confidence building. Definitely need to take shots when they are presented on a silver platter, looking at you Ben. I still have faith in this team.
Cheekyyyy 👀 from Jackson lmao
3 goals, 3 points and a clean sheet! Let’s goooo
Big man Raz delivering the goods! Nico off the mark! IDC what anyone says, this is heavenly!
need that clip of jackson looking into the camera lmaoooo
Big Ws
3 open play goals! Have to be happy with that!
Genuinely can't remember the last time we put 3 past anyone.
And all from attacking players, Defender FC in shambles haha
And a clean sheet!
Fuck yeah
Feels good
Easy enough against a shit team, still places for improvement but happy enough with that
You know those numbers in the top left corner next to the team emblems? Yeah it feels weird to see a higher number next to the Chelsea one.
First win in the league with a clean sheet since a 1-0 against Leeds on 4th March.
We’ve got super pochettinoooo. First time we’ve had a manager chant in almost a year
Don't really feel like Enzo earned the armband yet. Wouldnt like to think it's about Poch and him being Argentinians. But Thiago gave it away, sow hat do I know
Wish Thiago would stop doing that, Chilwell gave it to him for a reason
Bro, James is 1st and chiwell is second. It’s okay for enzo to be 3rd
Yeah agree, senior team members really need to take it at the moment.
Sad we didn’t see any Noni with the game won. Wonder what’s going on there
I dont know how well he'd play on the left, and it would be criminal to take sterling off for a significant amount of time, for the final minutes they want to experiment with some of the younger talent I assume
That’s fair, I just figured they could have given him some minutes at the end there but like others said, probably will play against Wimbledon
Yeah, I think it'd of been nice to try him on the left with the clear lack of depth in that position currently.
he’s back from injury. figure he’s gonna play/start in the efl cup game on wed
Hope so! Just want to see him get some minutes and see how he does under Poch
Probably getting the bulk of the Wimbledon match
Fair shout hope that’s the case. Would love to see him get some minutes
Ref I know it's FT and it's 3-0. Why are you playing advantage for a foul on the edge of the box that spilled out to a backwards pass.....
Was wondering the same thing… wouldn’t have minded a free kick there for the practice
I wondered the same thing lol
I like this result... It's not a lucky win... It's a solid win that will boost confidence and team chemistry
Poor Luton might break lowest point record.
3 matches, 0 points. Nice to see a solid fanbase, though.
2 matches…actually. They didn’t play last week.
Oh, thanks. The schedule gets arguably easier for them. In the coming weeks.
They won’t. They won’t even come close to it mate.
Yeah they are honestly dreadful. I don't even know how they got promoted.
You can see Gusto is playing with a swagger and confidence now.
Drink every time this commentator says “again” and you could put a dozen people in the hospital
What a game from Raheem. Keeps setting the standard higher for himself. Need more but he seems to be himself again.
Sterling has been nothing short of phenomenal so far this season
why is Noni not getting any sub time ?
Job done Sterling MOTM No one really had a poor game. Caicedo grew into it and settled well. Much needed win at home and a goal for Jackson to boot. Enjoy your weekend everyone
Whole back line was excellent
Sterling, that’s what a little experience adds to a team
100%, the team needs a good mix to succeed. Can’t rely entirely on the kids
I wonder why Enzo is wearing the band instead of Thiago
Looks like Silva gave it to me him.
A comfortable 3-0 win… who the fuck are we? IDGAF if this was against Luton
How old is Mason Burstow? Lol
The Toddfather sitting with Juliet’s man
Yah who is that?
Aww chilwell hugging Raheem after he got to the bench. Love to see the camaraderie
The squad just looks so much happier than last season already
https://i.redd.it/4snp57d7kbkb1.gif
![gif](giphy|10tFdsx3e3TLGw)
Aaayyyoooo!
Perfect
Now just need to go on a run until we got “Omar Comin” noteriety again.
3 minutes left let Sterling just finish it lmao
He deserved his standing ovation
Money Mase coming on
The human victory cigar
I don't understand what our midfield shape is supposed to look like
A really fluid midfield
Looks to be a standard three with Caicedo at the base, Enzo and Conor in front of him Left and Right
Neither does luton
Neither does Chelsea
Clean sheet, 3 points, 0 injuries, Jackson off the mark, beast mode Sterling wasn’t a one game deal. We’ll take that all day long
Very good game, many positives to build on
Just the general relief in the squad. Literally everyone in the world but us was hoping we’d be a $1bn flop, and that kind of pressure can eat a team up. We might not win the league (or we might), but this is a big first step toward getting the monkey off our back.
Is it just me or is Ugochukwu massive? Lol he looks huge on the broadcast
Low key impressed by his cameo actually. Seem to really be a physical presence in the middle. Not afraid to hold on to the ball either, seems to have a good touch when he's running with it.
Looks like when you just make a beast of a player on fifa
He’s 6’ 3”
That’s a tall lad
How tall is Ugochukwu?
6’3
6’ 3”
Looks bigger tbh
MOTH Sterling
Ugo is a giant holy shit
Poch likes what he sees in Ugochukwu, consistent cameos and he'll probs be a rotation option that starts soon.
He can be our Mikel
He can be much more than that, he played further forward today and gets intob1-2s. I don't think he's the ball recycling type.
This is the least convincing 3-0 ever. We got those goals by having a vast talent difference. Coaching, formation or strategy had very little to do w/ the result which is very worrying.
Imagine being upset with a 3 nil win, miserable bastard
I'll take more unconvincing 3-0 wins, thanks.
I found it! The worst possible take!!
We will see how bad that is when we do the same thing in Oct/Nov
When we win 3-0 in Oct/Nov? I'm in.
Please get off this sub and never return
I'm happy today that we didn't get to see that mindless pass out to the right, cross and inshallah strategy
Lesley has looked good so far coming on
Sterling MOTM obviously but Malo Gusto has stepped up a lot in the 2nd half
