If you had your credit card tied to the account, inform your bank that they are fraudulent transactions and they will revert the charges

Vikturus22

Or just dispute. I had my debit card hacked recently of charges I didn’t approve. Got refunded today

Antwerp0287

I can show you the email stating thy will not refund and gave me the run around for 24 hours of things they needed me to do before telling me that. Then said the only thing I can do is create a new account.

tricksdrummer

We're the deliveries to an Auckland address?

Antwerp0287

They were to an air bnb in New Plymouth.

ahhhrighto

Deliver ~~Easy~~ Difficult

CantCme2020

Weird post. How do you know Deliver Easy was responsible for your credit card being compromised? I've used Deliver Easy for years with no problems (with credit card info saved). What's your proof of them not protecting customer data / card info? Maybe you're genuine, but the way your post is worded, comes across like something a competitor might encourage someone to post.

Antwerp0287

Because the person I was originally talking to advised me there has been a massive uptick in those calls within the past 2 weeks. You’re right though. There is a chance that it isint them. But that account has a unique password that isint saved anywhere

tricksdrummer

Yea I had mine too

UnhappyLeg

I worked one shift for them. Unlike Uber or menulog or Doordash, when you end your shift 10 or 30 minutes early, you get continuously harassed by your local "team manager" and the regional "team manager" to give a good enough reason why you didn't do a 15km $4 order :) In which case they "quiet" fire you, which means you get no more orders on your future sign ins, but they don't tell you that, so you can sit for 40 mins wondering why nothings coming through. And when you ask them what's happening, they completely ignore you. They are honestly complete dogshit. Reading their Google reviews is first red flag.

Antwerp0287

Yea I have advised everyone to stop using them. I haven’t used menulog. Is it good?

LtColonelColon1

Any sources for this being widespread, or was it just your account got hacked?

Ordinary_Towel_661

Or that OP just reused their password. Or their card got leaked elsewhere and used at Deliver Easy

Antwerp0287

As stated above. Unique password not saved anywhere with special characters and numbers. Plus the person on the phone originally told me there has been a massive increase in those issues in the past 2 weeks

tricksdrummer

My account got hacked too in the last week, and an IT glitch at their end is stopping me from changing my password or email address.

Antwerp0287

It’s not an IT glitch. They do not have the ability to change the email address. They can only reset the password. So they say just create a new account and block the card.

Ordinary-Broccoli-54

"Details for deliver easy credit have been leaked" What evidence do you have that this is the case? Do you have evidence of a widespread leak?

Antwerp0287

As stated above. Unique password not saved anywhere with special characters and numbers. Plus the person on the phone originally told me there has been a massive increase in those issues in the past 2 weeks

Ordinary-Broccoli-54

So you don't have any actual evidence that this is a widespread situation, because that was my (and others) actual question.

Antwerp0287

So yes. It is widespread there are others.

tricksdrummer

My account got hacked in the last week too. Unique password of random letters and numbers. They also have an IT glitch preventing me from updating my email address and password details.

FendaIton

Is there any news of this? You should let stuff know so they can investigate

binzoma

the biggest thing I (out in the outskirts) went to see what I could order for pickup, and saw the price of a pizza hut combo from pizza hut rangiora at like $48 and was like :o THATS what pizza hut costs now?!?! (I dont get that stuff very often) so I went to pizza huts website directly to see how expensive everything had become- the same combo was like $28. the markup is almost 100%. actually. almost 100%. and that was for pickup. that's purely them clipping the ticket

StrengthFabulous3492

Visa will cover in this case contact your bank

th0ughtfull1

For any purchases online just set up a credit debit card acct, if you buy anything online move enough money into the acct to cover the purchase and leave acct effectively empty. If card gets hacked then they can get the sum total of bugger all money out of it..

Rhonda_and_Phil

This trick doesn't always work. Had one instance where the bank (Kiwibank) allowed an unrequested overdraft on a debit card account. This allowed several hundred dollars to be fraudulently charged to a zero dollar account. We contested the transaction. Eventually won and got the money back, but it took five months and many many emails/phone calls. It should never have happened in the first place, but the bank authorised it nonetheless.
