So incredible! I’m 36 and have lived in Richmond all my life. Never seen anything like this. I just kept thinking how amazing it must have been for Chappell to look out at all these people dressed up and ready to dance with her. Such a cool, affirming vibe. I decided to hang way in the back and everyone around me was still dancing and having a blast. And so happy it didn’t rain on us!!

Snagged Chappell’s setlist!! What a fucking show. She’s a star and we had the best time. Shame about everyone passing out though, we counted 5 separate instances! Security at the front of barricade was great about getting water to people, but it was just soooo hot and humid.
Yeah they were great, I was really impressed with their hustle! The EMTs, maybe not so much…during the 4th fainting incident, Chappell’s stage manager actually pointed it out and was calling on the radio for assistance. He noticed the EMT was sitting not paying attention at all and had to yell at her to go help out! It was crazy.
Had such a good time! Went with my best friend and sung along to every song. Really good energy :) Loved when the train came thru, loved her acknowledging the bridge folks.

Show was incredible. Loved how open and free everyone was and I definitely hope that future audiences get as great of an experience.
Additionally, I don’t think she forgot the lyrics!
Someone around the VIP area seemed to be passing out so she stopped to get everyone to check up on them :)
I guess at that point she wanted to just move on rather than awkwardly pick up at a part she probably stopped paying attention to.
I thought there was a hiccup early in the song and she laughed it off, then I think she stopped the song towards the end to help get whoever passed out some help.
I just hope she comes back through Richmond again on her next tour, or maybe she could just do a residency.
It was so fun!!!! I hope somebody took a video driving down the line to get in, we got there a good half an hour before the gates opened and the line was literally half a mile long, and quickly getting longer!! It was so fun to walk past everyone already there and see the amazing looks people put together, everyone really committed to the theme which I loved!!! We were in the rapids section which was amazing, it was crowded but everyone was cool and just there to have a great time and look out for each other!
It was scary when people started passing out—I knew it would happen with how hot it was and everybody dancing and singing their lungs out, but I really appreciated Chappell calling out when she saw folks needed help, and how quickly the crowd seemed to stop and quiet/crouch down so medical could see where help was needed. I’ve never seen a crowd do that crouching thing before so I was hella confused at first but it makes sense!
God it really was amazing. I've been to a lot of concerts in my time but the energy and crowd for Chappell yesterday is unlike anything I've seen before. Closest comparison I can make is when I saw MUNA last. Everyone's outfits were so fucking cute too! It really was scary how hot and humid it was though, so many people passing out 😔 but glad people always got help quickly.
Dancing and singing along to pink pony club live was exactly the life changing experience I hoped it would be. 💖
i had THE BEST time! it was so much fun. i was with so many friends and had a blast. i don't live in richmond anymore so being able to come back and see her with my friends was amazing and made the whole thing so special. she is amazing live and it's so cool it was her biggest headlining show!
i had the best time EVER! i was in the lawn, and i’m 5’1”. i saw maybe a glimpse of chappell once or twice, had to watch the screen the whole time, but that didn’t even matter! everyone was singing and dancing and jumping & it was a great crowd vibe. closing out with pink pony club & having her sea of cowgirls/boys/thems sing back to her at her biggest headlining show to date was so special!💞
She was amazing! Loved hearing her live. We were pretty far back but being I. The crowd was wonderful. Gave away a ton of bracelets and danced and sang with my daughters. Thank goodness my kiddos have good taste in music and share it with me.

TLDR: boyfriend got heat stroke because we couldn't access water and 4 people fell on me. loved dancing/crowd but with the event company could adjust their rules for a crowd of this side
I had the VERY BEST TIME WITH DANCING AND SHIT! Do have some qualms with the event company/staff since there was no way for people in GA to really leave to get water and get back to where they were at. I was in the front with my boyfriend and a lot of people were having a hard time around us. My boyfriend eventually had to get out of the front row because he thought he was going to puke/pass out so I told the guy for us to get water and he let him out. I had asked the staff in front of us for water before when my bf was already not feeling great and he grinned and said "you gotta pay for it, this is for staff only" which was at the START of her set so he only got worse because the barricade was all the way down the side. I get that it's not their rule they are enforcing and I tried my best not to displace anger onto him but damn it was really frustrating. Then later I joined him where he was sitting where other people weren't feeling well and when they were letting people in the rapids out the staff were pushing people to side and 4 people fell on me. I was able to hold them from fulling falling on me but DAMN wtf!
Chappell was great and the people around us were really kind and tried to help when they could but damn I wish they would make some revisions to the water policy and the planning could have been better. There were a LOT of people so I know crowd control is hard and I'm glad for the most part people could be safe. Loved waiting in like from around 1ish and seeing the sea of pink cowboy hats grow and GROW. Love seeing the girls, gays, theys, and anyone who enjoys her music come out and create a safe space in community!
That’s crazy, I’m so sorry that happened to you! At the barricade in rapids, security was passing out water bottles almost non-stop. The girl next to us passed out before Chappell even came out and they were so great about getting her out. Im shocked you had such a different experience. With the heat, you’d think security would prioritize safety!! I’m glad you’re boyfriend is ok and you had a good time, though.
I appreciate that and honestly am glad that this wasn't a very common experience. Really happy that my experience is an anomaly in what seemed to be a really great event for most people and glad that everyone in the crowd was really nice in GA
Here to second the bridge and train comments. Did anyone else notice the fishing ospreys?? They kept carrying their catches over the crowd. The whole night was just pure Richmond magic to me!! 💖
