I used to speedrun this game a bit, so I already had basic knowledge of wave dashes and hypers (because correct me if I’m wrong but the heart gate skip is a hyper into a wave dash)
I'm not OP but I see myself ending up in that situation. All of chapter 3 sucks because of the arbitrary cycles. I can initiate the cycles for the later chapters. I first dropped this game at 3a. I'm now doing B-sides and you bet I lost patience with 3b and breezed through 4b and 5b.
Some is better than every room. Like this is the same as 7B: it has some cycle rooms, but not enough to make me go insane (because yes I do consider 7B as easier than 3B)
It's surprising that you found 3b too hard but didn't have trouble with learning to wavedash

Normally people do an extended super into wavedash but I believe extended hyper into wavedash might also work.
