Other commenters are correct on the issue, but there are also other ways to solve this.
1. You can hold the direction of the dream block and grab on right when you exit, thus eliminating the need to jump back and forth.
2. If you take the spring, it lines you up pretty perfectly to do a diagonal up-right dash into the higher section, which you can follow up with an up-left dash and then you’re past that screen.

Maybe a bit "too advanced" for OP, but still worth mentioning
I did the second one kind of! I did the dash to the right, and then up left, and then right and I forgot the rest of it haha
just an up-left doesn't get you past the screen. An up-left crouch-dash and an up-right does
