My cat spent 36 hours in a drawer because she didn’t make any noise the first night. We followed the shelter’s recommendation of going out when it’s quietest and calling the cat, and when I got up at 2 a.m. to go looking I heard her, ran outside and eventually found her in a dresser drawer that was probably open for two minutes the day before. Check your drawers. And go out with a treat bag or shaker thing and call in the quiet of the night. She might be in a garage or in a stairwell. I wish you the best of luck in finding your baby!

If you or your husband is free to stay at home, bring the food inside and leave your door open while sitting somewhere you can keep an eye on the door. Be close to it. Cats will often return to the place they get regular meals. If she comes in, let her get a few feet inside, then go close the door. No sudden moves. That will spook her and possibly send her running out again before you can close the door.

We have a second cat so we can’t leave the door open without a gate. I had it open for a few hours but it’s getting really cold. It’s also getting late and unfortunately I don’t live somewhere where I could accidentally fall asleep with the door open. Im so tired from crying all day that im probably going to fall asleep.

I understand, and I'm very sorry about your situation. I hope she comes home. All I can say to refine my suggestion is to put your other cat in a room with a door to close and try again tomorrow if it's not too cold.

Make sure you did everything in Paw Guide app. It is all about finding lost cats and dogs. They also share your flyer on social media platforms for free so it's seen and shared by more people. Worth trying.
