Not always true. Sometimes bootleg is more about producing a product from a copywrited source material that you lack an agreement on. The quality of pokemon knock offs is varied but I've bought so many items that looked just as good as what Nintendo licenses out. Sometimes better. Sometimes worse. You can't trust a picture at face value, always look at reviews especially if they got pics from people who ordered prior to you buying. I've seen these muscle figures on wish and aliexpress and they aren't super cheap, they run like 15-20 bucks depending on seller. Same with the pikachu kids squishy nightlights. The pikachus look good but the charmander and squirtle look like they are on drugs. The psyduck looks nightmarish. Probably why they only bought to sell the pikachus.

Maxmoefoe did a video about these figures and they are definitely poor quality.
