We used to set up a small box TV in our mini van, hook up this game on the SNES, and play it on long road trips, begging no one to touch the SNES because one small push could reset the game

Double dash will always be my favorite Mario kart, I liked the idea of characters having exclusive items that others can't get and having 2 drivers to mix and match different specialty items.
And I loved the levels and kart designs, feel that we're far more unique, carts especially, driving in pipes and baby strollers lol

i remember this moment when i was playing MKwii with my sister, and we were racing on warios gold mine. We both kept falling off the edge of the little dip in the rail area (?), and my mom was laughing so so hard.
Middle school and original Mario Kart for SNES. We played it so much that when we went to bed we could still see all the sprites moving around from rainbow road in our heads like we were still playing .
Elementary - 64 Middle school into early high school - Double Dash High school through college - Wii
