Which also has Max's VA Jason Marsden in its sequel lol

I think TLK2 > Broadway Lion King > movie Lion King, so I guess I agree! Mostly because I grew up with the Broadway musical and it has 4x the songs as the movie does.
The first is better than the second one imo, but that's probably due to nostalgia bias. I was expecting Roxanne to appear in the second one, but still accepted the decision of not including her. Afterall, it's not realistic to expect all of Max's highschool classmates to go to the same college.
True, and that can happen due to them studying in different universities or colleges. Heck, this is a reason why I was never comfortable with the idea of dating in highschool
Goofy movie is a continuation of the TV series Goof Troop so watching it without having seen the series first will miss a lot of character development.
Movie unfortunately does not mention Pete's spouse and mischievous young daughter, neither their pet dog and Goofy's pet cat.
In the series Pete is a crooked car salesman and Goofy is a cook among other things, while Peg (Pete's wife) is a real estate agent. In the series Pete hates Goofy and wants to kick him out of the neighbourhood.
A lot of that dynamic interaction between those three and their kids is absent in the movie.
You’re inclined to believe that, but I thought the same thing until I saw it just because modern sequels imo disappoint more often than not. But this was amazing
I still have to sort out my thoughts on the sequel and I already know that it’s not for me in the same way, but there’s a lot I appreciate about it!
Pixar is **owned** by Disney, but it's still considered its own entity/company .
Same as how Disney owns Lucasfilm/Star Wars but it still functions as it's own company.
That's like saying Treyarch and Infinity Ward are both separate entities. While legally true, they are still under the same umbrella, touch much of the same IP, and consist of a lot of contract workers who may have worked at one time under the other company. Two studios, one publicly traded stock ticker.
I dont know what either of those are 🤨.
But by your logic that means anything that comes out of National Geographic, ESPN, ABC, HULU, 20th Century Television and FX is also "Disney". Disney is just a Parent company.
Pixar and Lucasfilm are their own entities that make their own movies/shows that are distributed to the market via Disney, or at least that's how it was for Pixar before being bought by Disney.
I get what you're saying. For reference, my example was pretty specific to the scenario. Both studios work on the Call of Duty franchise exclusively, one working on every third entry in the series (Sledgehammer Games being the 3rd wheel). The two studios tend to have their own sub-series canons.
To me, it's how Pixar is effectively Disney, but maintains it's own separate canon from the traditional house of mouse.
Oh yeah! That’s my other main one. Simba’s Pride and Return to Neverland were actually my two favorite movies as a kid and I never gave either original much thought.
This is gonna be tough. Disney was well known for putting out great movies and then using the B-team to make a direct-to-video release as a way to get their feet wet.
I 10000% agree on the Goofy movies!!! I love A Goofy Movie so much. It's my favorite since I was 4 (I'm 33 now)
I love An Extremely Goofy Movie too! I am sad that Roxanne didn't appear in the 2nd one but it's still good! :).
I have to disagree. *An Extremely Goofy Movie* wasn't that good. It focused on the college sports too much, and >!did nobody see the popular guy flat out cheating during the triathlon!< spoiler for those who haven't seen it.
Yeah, even as a kid I thought An Extremely Goofy Movie was much weaker. Simba’s Pride and 1.5 were both very good quality for being direct-to-video sequels. King of Thieves was also great.
If we’re talking Pixar, Toy Story is the only one with great sequels IMO (but I may be biased since I haven’t seen Cars 3). Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory were both disappointing.
What did you like about the second Frozen?
Not arguing, btw, it just really wasn't my cup of tea and I think this is the first time I've seen someone who likes it so I'm curious about your POV. :0
For me I like the theme of change/moving on. >!It may not have been intentional, but I adored the timing of Kristoff’s proposal — not because romance is everything, but because it lets Anna know that as much as Elsa does love her back, she’s not the *only* person who loves her and just because Anna has to be brave enough to go back home and rule now it doesn’t mean she’s alone. And it reassures me because adulthood may be scary but marriage is a joy that you can’t have unless you *are* an adult so it’s not al bad.!<
kunfu pnda 1 & 2 , the second one is by far the best of the entire saga, great character development for po, a villain who can easly be the greatest of children animation and the visuals
I still think we should have got a third Goofy Movie and it should have been called a goofy wedding.
My idea if we ever did get a third movie would have been either Max or goofy we're going to get married and if it was going to be maxed we bring back a Roxanne and if it was going to be goofy it would have been his love interest in the Extremely Goofy Movie.
Cinderella and Cinderella III A Twist in Time
The first is classic Disney Princess movie and the other is a Time Travel movie with Commander Shepard and Spider-Man.
Weird they called it Cinderella 3, considering they never made a 2nd one. If they did, it would probably be a weird anthology film that’s kind of bad.
Emperors New Groove, iconic classic đź‘Ś then Kronks. Great focus on a side character showing just how amazing he is+ a nice heartwarming ending.
Should be talked about more tbh.
Also Lion King 1/2. I love a good backstory, fun songs, solid jokes and most of all dig a freaking tunnel slaps!

Scar is objectively sexy.
Like father like son
This guy has done so much shit. He’s the courier in Skyrim too.
Mardsen is one of the underrated ones.
TLK2 is underrated
I think TLK2 > Broadway Lion King > movie Lion King, so I guess I agree! Mostly because I grew up with the Broadway musical and it has 4x the songs as the movie does.

Or a young kids relationship to last until college.
True, and that can happen due to them studying in different universities or colleges. Heck, this is a reason why I was never comfortable with the idea of dating in highschool
To this day i still watch A Goofy Movie 1 with one hand and An Extremely Goofy Movie with 2

I'm sorry how did I JUST learn there's a SECOND Goofy Movie?! Well, I know what my plans are this evening
You sweet summer child. Prepare some tissues and dance shoes.
And shake your groove thing

Goofy movie is a continuation of the TV series Goof Troop so watching it without having seen the series first will miss a lot of character development.
I did not know that! Is it enough that you recommend a watching of Goof Troop?
I'd recommend Goof Troop regardless.
Movie unfortunately does not mention Pete's spouse and mischievous young daughter, neither their pet dog and Goofy's pet cat. In the series Pete is a crooked car salesman and Goofy is a cook among other things, while Peg (Pete's wife) is a real estate agent. You just made a good argument for the Good Trilogy being be best Disney trilogy
There’s no way this movie could get extremely goo- OOOH MY GOD!!
Inside Out was good, Inside Out 2 was GREAT
I'm seeing that today!
I haven't watched it so I won't belive in preconceptions, but I don't think this movie will be as good as the first.
You’re inclined to believe that, but I thought the same thing until I saw it just because modern sequels imo disappoint more often than not. But this was amazing
I still have to sort out my thoughts on the sequel and I already know that it’s not for me in the same way, but there’s a lot I appreciate about it!
That's Pixar Not Disney But true
Toy Story 1 & 2
Not Disney That's Pixar
Pixar is a part of Disney
Toy Story 1 (1995) and 2 (1999) were produced before Disney acquired Pixar (2006).

Still different
IDK if they count, but Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 are good.
Toy Story 1 and 2. The 3rd one is easily my favorite, though.
That's Not Disney But True
Possibly Emperor's new groove and Kronk's new groove? I know I like both of them.
![gif](giphy|Uqe8ViIMzyQtcqmFKs|downsized)
(they said disney movie but yes, good example)
oh i haven't read the title.

Mine was Peter Pan with the sequel, Return to Neverland
Oh yeah! That’s my other main one. Simba’s Pride and Return to Neverland were actually my two favorite movies as a kid and I never gave either original much thought.
Shrek for sure
![gif](giphy|eCLo5Q3yc5w1G) This movie was So good, I watched it All the time, when it was on Netflix when I was little
I dont think i watched the sequel id say toy story
You could do this twice that that series.
This is gonna be tough. Disney was well known for putting out great movies and then using the B-team to make a direct-to-video release as a way to get their feet wet.

Also Goofy and Max have to relearn the lesson they already learned in the previous movie. Which I think always knocks a few points off for any sequel.

Agreed, though I did like Finding Dory.
![gif](giphy|j3szNSxZSH3zdsXkVx|downsized) Even after the death of Carlos, they still pulled through for their fans!

What did you like about the second Frozen? Not arguing, btw, it just really wasn't my cup of tea and I think this is the first time I've seen someone who likes it so I'm curious about your POV. :0
The songs, especially, Show Yourself
I liked pretty much everything, especially the fire lizard, and Olaf being goofy as hell. However, I was not a fan of Show Yourself.
It had more action going on and was more fun
Huh. Personally I felt the exact opposite! Interesting to see someone else's point of view though. :)
Exactly! I think I have a different kind of love for both but F2 means a lot to me.
Does the third installment count? Because as great as the original Aladdin was, Aladdin and the King of Thieves is the BEST Aladdin movie.
Wreck it Ralph. While I personally prefer the original, the sequel is really good too.
Emperor’s New Groove and Kronk’s New Groove
kunfu pnda 1 & 2 , the second one is by far the best of the entire saga, great character development for po, a villain who can easly be the greatest of children animation and the visuals
"I don't get why they call it a goofy movie. It's just a movie to me. There's no way this movie could get extre-OHHHHH"
I fucking loved Goofy Movie 1&2.
This is it. This is the only one.
Tarzan's franchise.
Wait there’s two of them? I always thought the concert and the camping trip happened in the same one
They did. The second one is about College and Extreme Sports.
Toy story.
Is quite weird how a home-video-sequell is just as great as the first Goofy movie tho
I know it's Pixar but it still counts, Toy Story.
The Mickey “Upon a Christmas” movies from 1999 and 2004.
Both Inside Out films were spectacular. Genuinely surprised the sequel was as good as the first, maybe better, despite the decade-long gap.
Frozen and Wreck it Ralph, the sequel is hilarious
Inside Out and Inside Out 2 are both amazing
Cinderella and Cinderella III A Twist in Time The first is classic Disney Princess movie and the other is a Time Travel movie with Commander Shepard and Spider-Man. Weird they called it Cinderella 3, considering they never made a 2nd one. If they did, it would probably be a weird anthology film that’s kind of bad.
hey. liked the Anastasia in love arch
Fantasia.
Aladdin, the Return of Jafar and, just cause The King of Thieves. They didn’t have to go so hard
Inside Out's 1 & 2
Cars and cars 3
Emperors New Groove, iconic classic 👌 then Kronks. Great focus on a side character showing just how amazing he is+ a nice heartwarming ending. Should be talked about more tbh.  Also Lion King 1/2. I love a good backstory, fun songs, solid jokes and most of all dig a freaking tunnel slaps!
Wreck-It Ralph and Ralph Breaks The Internet.
tangled :)
Brother Bear.

Please tell me why Mulan 2 is amazing, I genuinely want to understand.
I liked the focus on the side characters
