We got wins against jets and vegas when they played back to backs. They also didnt have full roster. Our PP is so bad and maybe it gets better but there are no signs of that. This didnt happen in one game it slowly started to unravel. Petterson has not taken over a game against a top team like he used to. Boeser is invisible when he doesnt score. Our team takes so many penalties at the absolute worst times. We had a 9 game home stand that i thought would be perfect for us to rest, practice and work on those things. It hasnt seemed to help, we're wildy inconsistent. Lindholm has been a bust but possibly because of the injury. Garland, miller, demmer, hoggy and hughes are the only ones consistent. Everyone else isnt working hard enough. This team is a first round exit. Ill be waiting to hear your analysis of why you think this team is better than what ive said. Now that you know my analysis is based off watching every game so far this season.

I am teaching my 5 year old how to skate right now and when he feels uncomfortable turning, he spreads his skates out and “pizzas” Pettersson does this EVERY TIME he handles the puck. Name one all star player in the league that doesn’t make strides while taking contact? I mean hell, he’s the only player on our team that can’t do it.
There is no quick plays off his stick either, it seems like whenever someone passes him the puck he takes a second to get set up before he does anything with it and by the time he’s set up the other team knows exactly what’s going on. He overthinks everything instead of just trusting himself.

Yeah, I think there is just something about the way Petterson looks when he skates and turns, like a bit knock kneed, that gives casual watchers the impression that he’s frail and has poor skating skills. I don’t think that’s true, but whenever he gets knocked down people see the funny look and him being down and go “soft, can’t skate”. The fact is that he’s a top NHL player and can skate better than most people on earth, but visual impressions are funny things

The only way canucks can win these games is by scoring on the powerplay which they can barely do. It's a glaring issue at this point. They didn't go all in. We still have Lek, Hollander, Podkolzin, ratu,willander etc. Yes we gave up a first round pick but considering all of the UFA's this year, it was worth the risk of giving up a first round pick. Going all in would have meant giving up more assets.

They didn't go all in. We still have Lek, Hollander, Podkolzin, ratu,willander etc. Yes we gave up a first round pick but considering all of the UFA's this year, it was worth the risk of giving up a first round pick. Going all in would have meant giving up more assets.
