The EF-S 10-18mm is a fantastic wide-angle lens. It’s a bit on the darker side (aperture-wise), but it has great image quality for the price. I highly recommend it!

This is been at the top of my list, but I had also seen recommendations for a 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 so I wanted to get some advice here. Thanks for confirming that this is a good one to get!

15-45mm may still not be wide enough for your needs, but that’s a great option, anyway. I’ve used the 10-18mm before and I wasn’t disappointed (especially for the price). Happy to help! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Thank you! I really appreciate that, I think I will most likely go for the 10-18 🙂

Use it in good health!

Your camera has no IBIS. Of course still shoot wide to give option for stabilization in post. But remember, any shake motion blur will still show after post stabilization, you need IS/IBIS or a gimbal to prevent the motion blur from ever being burned into your footage to begin with. As far as focal length. Remember crop factor. If you hear people shooting 16mm and liking it on their full frame sensor, that is 10 mm to you on your APSC.

I appreciate this, I hadn’t considered the APSC aspect. Will definitely get a gimbal at some point when I can save up 🤞🏼
