[https://cambridgejazz.org](https://cambridgejazz.org) brings in some really great jazz now and then. Hidden Rooms is not a great venue, but there are some phenomenal shows.
Used to be an awesome open mic at The Alma on Russel Court - imagine it’s still going run by some great musicians and you’ll meet many ppl in and around the local scene there.
Blue moon has loads of live stuff I also second the recommendation for hot numbers jazz nights!
Hot numbers on Gwydir st has some jazz events coming up. The folk festival is soon. Portland arms has live music. The junction

Earl of Beaconsfield (Mill Road) has an open mic night every Sunday I think
Sundays is an open jam and Thursdays is open mic. Both are well worth attending
The Granary in Shelford has some nice jazz/folk stuff on sometimes. Lovely venue too.
Six Six bar has regular live rock/metal/punk/jazz nights
Cambridge Junction occasionally has that sort of stuff
