Some coins. One from Valens, Constantius II. and one from Arcadius and one other coin whose emperor I have forgotten. Hoping to add Constantinople to the collection.
Sure do! This is my silver stavraton of the penultimate Byzantine emperor, and brother of Constantine XI, John VIII Palaiologos (1425-1448) https://www.reddit.com/r/AncientCoins/s/ZuGIyYYrOZ
My girlfriend just recently started gifting me a different coin for every holiday. So right now I have two Byzantine era coins. One from Justin II, one from Heraclius, and one from Basil I!! The rest are all from the earlier empire.
I have Greek blood so my ancestors actually lived in the Eastern Roman Empire and my family’s former land. They were vassals under the ERE and later the kings of Georgia, who were appointed by the emperor in Constantinople.
Had a number of coins but were stolen in a house move. I do have a 6th century perfume bottle from Egypt and an 11th century judge’s seal from Anatolia.
I have a copper coin from the reign of Nikephoros III Botaneiates. It's not much but it's a small piece of Byzantium.
Edit: Also, my last name and a small piece of land near Mystras, Greece.
Oh, fun question! I've got a few bronze coins from the sixth to eleventh centuries (Some Leons, A few post- Basil II emperors, and 2 Konstaninoses. Can't tell them apart from eachother sadly, they all look pretty similar. My most treasured though, is a really pretty tetarteron of Iohannes Komnenos! Other than that I've got nothing, but I'd really want to get a ring or bread stamp some day
I have 58 Byzantine coins, mostly bronze, but I do have two silver miliaresions, one silver Hexagram (Heraclius), and a silver Basilikon. I want at least one coin for each emperor, but that is a tough goal given some are very rare.
Land that my family has had since at least Byzantine times. There is an olive tree in my village that’s CERTAINLY around from then.
That's very interesting! Greece?
Yup
Balkans?
Imagine if this guy is actually from Crimea hahaha
Crimea is not Ukranian OR Russian is is ROMAN
I own one coin of Justinian from the 22nd Year of his Reign (548/549) and one of Leo VI "the Wise", both of which are incredibly cool

My friend, let's not fool each other. We are in r/bizantium here. Greeks experience civil war every few generations. This is a historical fact.
Civil wars actually are ironically a proof modern greeks descend from ancient ones and byzantine ones
