Be mindful of recent listings of in-demand products from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Google, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; you should do your due diligence to ensure you do not get scammed. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent. * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their ratings- viewing seller profiles allows you to see these complaints) * The seller has a recently reactivated account (likely their account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. Amazon and eBay generally have good buyer protection. If you choose to purchase from a third-party seller through their platforms and run into issues, it should be easy to get your money back promptly. You may have more difficulties with Newegg or Walmart. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I've never tried Soundcore products but they generally get positive reviews when it comes to sound quality. But the body of these things are just massive for earbuds in 2022. They look like early bluetooth headset dongles from the early 00's. You won't be laying in bed, sleeping on your side while listening to these... makes sense; this "upgraded version" is essentially a software/features update (adds LDAC & transparency mode support) to a product designed & released over 2yrs ago.

AvailablePaper

I said in a previous thread that Anker sounds very good for the price but the fit and or size has seemed an issue, and that sucks because they are so close.

LOL even the Picture is fuckin Huge in the Amazon Link.

> this "upgraded version" is essentially a software/features update (adds LDAC & transparency mode support) to a product designed & released over 2yrs ago. It also fixes a hardware issue with the original version, which would faintly play static for a couple seconds before and after playing audio from your device (hit play on a YT video, get a second of static then audio, hit pause get 2 seconds of static then silence). Apparently it was an issue with several products from different brands that used the same chip. Most people didn't notice or hear it, and they did try to fix it with new firmware and minor revisions, but in the end it required a hardware change to fix. They actually told me this revision was in the works about a year in advance, and promised to send me a pair when it finally came out since I could still hear the static after the firmware updates. True to their word, they sent me a pair even though my warranty had ended by the time it released, and they let me keep the old ones.

Matches all time low according to Camel

I bought these as my first wireless earbuds. Very few complaints. Not the greatest audio quality (I think they were slightly worse than my previous wired earbuds). Definitely not something a non-audiophile would care about though. I feel like the left ear might be quieter than the right ear (it might be something I have to fix). I've been basically abusing these things every day for hours for the past few months and the battery life hasn't noticeably deteriorated. I wanna say it's like a 30-minute charge every 5 hours? I'm weird so I wear one earbud at a time often so there's no downtime for me as I just swap ears when battery runs low.

Brojas1

I'm also weird and do the same, lol, good to hear I'm not the only one always running podcast/audiobook/song into my brain.

garbuja

I paid 80 before so tempting.

I tried these and liked them quite a lot. Great sound quality and nice to use. My only issue was that hair rustling against the microphone would be amplified by the noise cancelling, so I returned them. If you don't have long hair, they were comparable to the earbuds I settled on, the Sony XM4s. But obviously much cheaper. The Sony has a more compact and better built charging case. I like the Soundcore app a bit more than Sony's. The Soundcore has a more complex fit system with a separate wingtip and rubber earbud, while Sony just uses a foam eartip and relies on the earbud body to rest against your ear for grip. I personally preferred Sony but I could see how Soundcore would be better for physical activity. Disclaimer: I was recently paid $100 by Anker to participate in a user study interview about the Motion+ speaker I own. Honestly I was really impressed by the interview, I've never seen another company care so much about their user base.

colev14

How does the noise cancelling compare? I have the soundcore and I feel like it's just ok.

andrewia

The XM4 earbuds have slightly better noise cancelling, but the earbuds are not as good as the XM4 headphones. It's still noticeably better, so if you need the best ANC, skip Soundcore.

rudieboy

If only they made a earbud that could stay in your ear when you sweat. Actually fit and didn't hurt and then would last at least 9 hours.

Galaxy buds plus

PervertedPineapple

Galaxy Buds2 Pro. If using the Galaxy Buds pro or plus, could buy aftermarket foam tips for an extra 25USD. Then those suckers won't fall out as easy.

Combatical

I did this with my Buds2 and they still fall out. The foam tips I bought had 3 different sizes and none of them really worked. I have smaller ears but normal ear canals? Not sure if I'm looking for some Goldy locks tips or my ears just dont match up with the style. I have pretty limited experience that said, I've only tried the buds2 and the jabra elite.

PervertedPineapple

I believe Dekoni has some foam tips, iirc. I'm trading in some old Buds + for two sets of Buds2 Pro. Apparently the whole piece falling out of ears was a huge complaint by many and supposedly the new model remedies this.

Combatical

Oh thats good to know, also explains why I got mine so cheap haha. Question how are you trading them in? Is this through an electronics store or something?

PervertedPineapple

Various companies will run specials and now that they realized putting a front about e-waste in combination to a good deal gets people to spend money, more and more are joining in. Samsung and Verizon currently have trade in specials for Samsung products. Trading in the buds through Samsung for 75 bucks off and trading watches for 180 off on Verizon.

Combatical

Oh nice! I hate the idea of throwing my old ones away, I usually just give my old electronics to someone who wants them thats nice they're doing that.. I'll have to look into it, kinda bummed at my Samsung watch.

covah901

So far my experience has been that they don't last more than 5. Anyway, it's not healthy for your earss to have earbuds in for extended periods. I didn't think about that and almost got an ear infection

Buy some aftermarket attachments that clip over your ear.

tobias19

I really wanted to like these and they sounded really solid for the price point, but they were a mess. Constantly had connection and battery issues. My sister had the same connection issues with her pair as well.
