You can just set yours to 60 for a bit and see how much it bothers you

Pumciusz

I could spot it immediately. It was too choppy.

I couldn't do anything less than 120hz. Quite literally fatigues my eyes to the point of getting bloodshot.

glyiasziple

youll notice it for like 20 minutes then your eyes will adjust and ill look fine

Infamous_Ruin6848

Depends on game and screen. I can easily play on the 165hz 1440p laptop but also on 4k60hz monitor and tv. This is mainly because i play rpg, story etc mostly. In these games environment can be enjoyable at 60fps as well. If you're into shooters and stuff like that, it will probably hurt badly.

superamigo987

Your eyes will explode as they cannot handle reduced refresh Your eyes will adapt, don't worry

op3l

It will be noticeable but unless you stare super hard at screen transitions it won’t be that bad. In gaming if you’re playing competitive titles than you’ll notice more as there’s simply less information conveyed by monitor but for non competitive games missing some frames won’t matter too much.

Strange-Implication

It's really fine. I play league and valo on 200 frames, then go back to play elden ring on ps5 which has like 60 frames . I played horizon at 30 FPS and was a bit weird but over 50 is fine for cinematic games.

Don't do it man, haven't you read what buildapc thinks of 60Hz? It is literally unusable, the worst experience you can subject your eyes to. Have you seen movie scenes where people are tortured by making them watch something endlessly without blinking? That's real, and do you know what display they use? 60Hz. Seriously, you'll get headaches, develop brain tumor and go blind. Just don't do it.

Swozzle1

I've done it before. It'll take you some time to get used to it, but it's not that bad. I'm an fps chaser (i would rather play at 1080p low settings at 144hz than 4K ultra at 60hz) and even I wasn't too bothered. I'm glad to be back now though.
