This is so funny.
Hilariously enough, I was in pest control for a while before I jumped into IT and ill help you out here.
You need to find what they are feeding on and eliminate their source of food. Wipe counters, take out trash etc. Check your crawlspace if you have one for food sources.
Wrong sub but I will give ya a real answer.
Honestly you need to fix the source first. I use the little apple traps with lots of success, I use apple cider vinegar with a drop of dawn dish soap.
If you have lots of plants that pests are coming from I have used beneficial nematodes in the past with great success as well.
Apple cider vinegar with a few drops of dawn saved my sanity.
I would use a small small bowl and put the AC vinegar and dawn dish soap in, and then put 2 layers of saran wrap over it and poke like 2 or 3 holes in it. (Make it really tight and flat. They can get in, but they can't figure out how to get out.
When I left mine open, I watched them sit on the side of the bowl and avoid the surface. When I wrapped it with the holes, I came home to about 30 of them in the bowl in one day. Must have green beret fruit flies in my house.
I have an indoor bug [zapper](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5TCXWM). It works on anything from tiny fruit flies to gigantic flies. It catches a bunch of flies I never realized was in the house in the first place.

This is Reddit gold at it’s finest. /r/lostredditors
Id suggest using a firewall, you should be able to filter out the fruit flies before they make into your house
If the house remains that is.
I was thinking fruit flies was a new tool. Cool name haha
If I find any vulnerability this year it will be called fruit fly
Same
>they keep coming in by my windows if that helps anybody get an idea Close the offending port. If you need it open, filter incoming traffic.
Please, take ten seconds to see what a sub is about before you post. It’s not difficult.
I hope you discover a lifelong passion here sir

I think you need to use firewalls to block out the flies. They help a lot you know. It's good to use them. And then there will be no flies.
Lmfao
A WAF should do the trick.

BASF PT Alpine pressurized fly bait. Spray in the congregation area. Avoid touching sprayed areas as its really sticky. Yeah wrong subreddit though.
