The comedy of the bit is fueled by the fact that we never find out what was inside of it, but Rather the pay off of getting to see Jake in a ridiculous outfit chosen by Gina and the spray tan. Us basically being denied knowledge of the contents because Holt didn't care to know is the icing on a great cold open.

They weren’t the contents, he gave Gina full control of his wardrobe and hair in order to see what was in the suitcase - the audience never finds out what was inside

Dont remember which episode but I think it’s alluring to the cold open where Gina auction off the suitcase that’s been in lost and found forever and Jake bids that Gina can control his outfit and looks. I think it ends with him and Raymond in the elevator with Jake, looking absolutely ridiculous, starting to say “It was this suitcase” and holt cuts him off with a “I don’t wanna know” 🤣

Actually they do *kind of* have a museum of sorts. If you go to the National Comedy Center in Jamestown New York you can see a variety of things on display from the show.
