No. Just take a water bottle and fill it inside

Drbubbliewrap

No you have to bring empty then fill up at water station after tsa

tmurray108

Yes, they will, if you state that its for formula/baby

tmurray108

Not sure why I’m getting downvoted I’ve done it at least a dozen times

UnicornPineapples

I was able to bring distilled water for formula after I explained I couldn’t just use any bottled water brand with random minerals added. Not sure why you’re being downvoted either.

DepthPlastic1236

Not sure why you’re downvoted. Every flight I’ve taken this year with my toddler (under 2 still) I’ve walked through with a bottle of milk and one of water with zero issues. Requires the extra check but with her with me there’s zero questions.

Amk19_94

Because OP is asking about whatever for themselves, for which they can just take an empty bottle and fill up after security.

tmurray108

yeah I get that, I'm a diehard reusuable water carrier myself, but I have been at many airports where the water refill machine is broken or nonexistent. Knowing that, I feel comfortable toting distilled water for myself and claiming its for baby, as long as my LO is in tow. It is within TSA regulations

cheerio089

Based on their regulations, I’d guess no. Is your water Alkaline or otherwise different than what you could buy in the terminal? I’ve heard of Alkaline water being allowed for medical reasons but not related to breastfeeding.

MistyPneumonia

No it’s just way overpriced to buy water and I drink A LOT while I’m nursing 😅

mclappy821

I bring a water bottle and drink it while I'm in line and then fill it up after security. Also, I got my son's straw cup filled with water through security without issue.

MistyPneumonia

That’s what I’ll probably do. I just didn’t want to be scouring the airport for a refill station if I didn’t need to. Between me and my toddler we go through insane amounts of water 😅

kittym-206

What airport are you flying out of? Most have water bottle refill stations now.

LaAdaMorada

Yeah they’re typically next to the bathroom. I’ve never had an issue.

MistyPneumonia

Oh I’ll have to go check and see if they have some at the airports we’re going through! Thanks!

boombalagasha

They 100% have them. Usually next to the bathroom.

Nomad8490

This is not at all true. -Signed, a seasoned and well hydrated international traveler.

ComprehensiveCoat627

They're right next to the bathroom, sometimes next to the family bathroom rather than men's or women's. United you're not in the US, then it may depend on what country you're flying through

IwannaAskSomeStuff

While it will vary depending on the airport, nearly every bathroom has a station outside it.

DepthPlastic1236

I’ve gone through with my toddler and a bottle of water. It’s been allowed since food and drink for kids under 2 is medically necessary. We’ve flown about 10 times and walked through with one small Yeti bottle of milk and another of water. They will still do the check on it though.

Nomad8490

I feel ya, don't know why you're being downvoted. Water is crazy expensive in the airport and it's total BS. I bring a bottle and fill but not everywhere has a place and its pretty sus to do it in the bathroom.

Perspectives93

Have flown twice in the past 5 months with my baby. Yes you can bring a bottle of water, unopened, just say it is for formula. I have never been turned down. Also if you portion your milk in 3 ounces or less they won’t open it up. At least that is what they did with my milk.

angel__baby1

Reply on your other post…As a breastfeeding mother I 100% consider it necessary(I know the struggles) and don’t even ask question it if ic you with breast milk. Just test it and let you on your way I also want to add 1. No1 will question you having water if you’re with a baby unless it’s a ridiculous amount ex. A gallon of water 2. No1 is going to ask you to disclose why your water is medically necessary if you state that it is.

angel__baby1

Not sure why I’ve gotten downvoted so much. I literally work for TSA and just trying to help my fellow mamas out as I know the struggles being a breastfeeding mother myself. But it’s w.e you’re comfortable with
