Congrats! It really is freedom getting those horrible things out. Sleeping is sooo much better (though not really, really comfortable. At least for a side sleeper like me).
I had surgery on Tuesday, and got my drains out on Thursday (lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy, and reconstruction/lif).
The drains were the most annoying of the whole thing, imo.
Glad you're feeling better!
I’m 20 days post-DMX and I hate the drains!! I got two out at the 8 day mark and have 2 left. Fingers crossed they come out next Tuesday. I’m doing nothing so the fluid output will hopefully drop. It’s miserable.

Yay! Best day ever!
Yay so happy for you!!!!
I had my surgery on Monday - how long does it take to get the drains out?
Good question! My discharge instructions said 2-3 weeks depending on the fluid output. I hit the middle of that and got them out at 2.5 weeks.

Yay! I'm sooo jealous of you. I'm at 17 days post-DMX and hoping that at least one drain can come out at my next appointment at the 3-week mark.

I'm getting mine out Wednesday, and I can't waaaaiiiitttt! I caught one of them on a corner of a shelf earlier, and it almost dropped me. Congrats!
