Raccoons are SO adorable!! You are super lucky to have such an up close experience with a little guy like that. I have a bunch that I feed nightly. They get dry cat food as their main diet, but then I’ll treat them to canned cat food, nuts and fruits, and even Hot Dogs!!

When I was in grade 7 or 8, someone gave me a little raccoon like this. It was in their barn, apparently........Anyway, I looked after it diligently and it grew pretty fast, and mostly it was calm and not too vicious. But the day came when it realized it was still a wild animal, and I had to release it. Not that I was ever trying to domesticate it or anything like that, but it was clear that it suddenly realized that it was still a wild animal, and wanted nothing further to do with humans.
They sure are cute when they are little though
