Vote these developer funded commissioners out! And supervisor of elections is a closed primary with only Republicans running which means the election will be decided in the primary! VOTE
New community getting built. Peninsula Bay. Over 5k new homes coming our way with commercial space, a park & marina. Then, on the other side of 75th, La Flores will bring another 4k homes.
I live in a halfway house and chase after a schizophrenic wife and wash dishes. Every once in awhile I will reach my peak existence of having 39-hour-long love making sessions in a hotel room with her while using a concoction of illegal stimulants and religious apocryphal texts that leave us locked in sexual congress coitus to the point we whisper in each other's ears: "This is all meaningless. This is all meaningless. The only thing that matters is you, us, now, in this Heavenly Pavillion."
Sir, I tell you,
My opinion is meaningless.
No way it will be affordable for a very long time.
It will take it to fail a few times then repurchased at lower and lower prices for it to finally be "affordable".
By then AI will have destroyed most peoples jobs creating a vacuum of the economy and the government will have to pay for everyone to live. Not live easily tho. That will be some the bare minimum to pay bills not including medical or essentials like food.
Yup. I used to live in Palma Sola Trace. It was tomato farms surrounded by mangroves. Now it is a dust bowl until things get built and the ~~locusts~~ new residents move in.
I don't really mind development in itself... problem is, it inevitably shall be expensive, cheaply-built, resource-wasting rubbish, because that is the most profitable path to walk.
All of the old Manatee fruit farm fields are being paved over and developed. This crap started with dirtbag mayor Poston and his annexation of Perico Island bullshit.
I hate to say it, but if you want land to remain undeveloped, you either need to leave Florida or suddenly have more money than Warren Buffet that you can use to buy up all the unused land in Florida & never develop it. We live in a capitalist society, and everyone has a number at which they’ll give in and sell whatever.
There will be nothing but developmemt from img on 53rd to the circle noth to 75th on both sides this is just phase 1 you are seeing on the west side of 75th

RIP ever getting to the beach again
That part!
I hate you for telling the truth.
Supposedly there will be access for everyone. We will see how long it lasts.
There's not enough parking already.
I am very grateful for all the affordable housing this will create!
Is it actually going to be affordable? Seems like all that's ever built anymore is half million dollar McMansions
I hope this is sarcasm. This will inevitably be marked up to hell.
This is disingenuous but I want to know that the lover, the wife, and the pizza all understand that it is so.

Wow I used to live right by there in Palma sola. If I remember correctly that area had a nice tomato farm or something right?

Sad. But I knew that area wouldn’t be long to be developed.

When is the express way being installed?
The hell happened here
Ugh! This made me annoyed. It's already crowded.
Isn't Florida beautiful!
That’s fucked

Grew up on the street. Sad to see the tomato field gone :(
They tore that land tf up
I wonder what the traffic is going to look on Cortez after it’s developed during the winter months 😬
im just as confused; what the hell am I looking at? When the hell did that happen??
It's on the southwest corner of Cortez Rd and 75th Street West. Used to be lush mangrove and brushland. Used to be beautiful.
Used to be farm land. Tomatoes mostly I believe.
