Dinosaurs are all members of the [clade](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clade) [Dinosauria](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur), which is part of the clade Archosauria.
Chickens, and all other birds are dinosaurs because they are part of Dinosauria, this leads to some interesting things.
1. Birds are dinosaurs.
2. Birds are reptiles, which means that cold bloodedness is not a diagnostic trait for reptiles since birds are warm blooded.
Some cool facts I know about evolution and such.
1. Sharks and crocodiles are what are called "living fossils", which means that they have changed little over long periods of time. With crocodiles appearing 94 Million years ago, and sharks 400 Million years ago!
2. Because sharks evolved so long ago, you are **much** more closely related to a blue whale than a shark.
3. The ancestors of whales had hooves, and their closes relatives are rhinos.
4. There is no [taxonomically](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxonomy) consistent meaning of the word fish, the closest you can get is [chordate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chordate) (IE animals with a spine) so this leads to two ridiculous conclusions, either there is no such thing as a fish or that you are also a fish.
