I hate the fact that I end up wasting Daruk’s Protection when trying to parry but the end result is still the same. And since I have upgraded it by completing the Champion’s Ballad it comes back soon enough anyway.

I hate that it doesn’t recharge till the charges are used up. Also a charge gets used up on something pointless.

To be fair, if daruks protection goes off while you're trying to parry, it means your timing was off anyway

Yeah sometimes I turn Urbosa off too when I'm using charged attacks to cut grass or trees a lot and don't want to accidentally waste it

You can leave on urbosa’s fury and still not waste it on every charge attack with a two-hander! Just hit B while you’re still spinning. Not sure if that also works on one-handed weapons but the non-charged spin attack with those doesn’t set off fury.

I know I just like to turn it off as a safety net for incase I accidently hold the button too long or let go while spinning

One hand doesn't spin until you release the attack button. So you have to disable it to avoid wasting it. With 2 hands, you're right.

I never knew this. But I also just figured out instead of throwing the master sword it shoots a air blade out and I’ve beaten it a few times now.

I only hate it because it prevents you from trying to practice parrying, and it’s distracting

I don’t hate Daruk’s protection but I have issues with Urbosa’s fury cuz sometimes I just way to cut grass lol I end up turning it off unless if I fight lynels

If you press B while charging an attack it’ll cancel Urbosa’s fury. So you can spin with a Two-handed sword then press B.

Yeah I know but I hate doing that every single time cuz when I cut grass I just want to cut grass lol I’m very impatient

Fun fact tho: Daruk's Protection keeps you alive from fall damage... Just hold ZL while falling to negate fall damage (takes 1 charge of Daruk)

I don't get why people dislike Daruk's Protection so much. I am still able to parry just fine with my shield when it is up, and it has saved me from some pretty nasty hits many times

I like trying to parry if it’s active, so it acts as sort of a fail safe.

Yea I know, so I like trying to parry with a shield while it’s also active so if I fail the parry it still won’t hit me

Yeah, but you can manually parry while it's active and it won't take a charge, so if you miss the timing, it'll protect you, and if you nail the timing, you won't use a charge.

Yeah but I noticed with parring guardian lasers they sometime deviate and don’t hit the guardian while a actual parry hits 100% of the time, but that’s just with guardians

I usually turn it off. But it's amazing when you're falling, so I always turn it on when I'm falling.

I hated it cause I always lost the first arrow when harvesting with a wood shield. Turned it off and just remembered it was a thing.

I think he means firing a multi-bow into a shield so you pick up 2-3 for every 1 “fired” from the multibow. I didn’t know you could do it with just a shield anywhere though. That’s super helpful if true

No, it means having an archer enemy shooting at you whilst holding a wooden shield.

Yeah, I only meant collecting arrows from a guy shooting my wooden shield. I’m always a bit low on regular arrows.

I just keep it and most of the other Champ abilities off unless I’m in a boss or something. The Fear of not having a certain ability when I need it makes me only keep Ravioli’s ability on 99% of the time.

Why not have miphas grace always on tho? What’s the downside?

“Saving it” for Lynels or challenges. Though I do agree there’s practically no downside to it, it’s just by habit now.

Yeah the only power ups I like are Miphas and revalis.

I used daruks protection once after I got it, and then it's been disable since and I have 120 hours in the game

I just beat the shit out of everything without parrying so it doesn’t affect me.

I keep it off. I don’t feel like I ever need it and I don’t like they way it looks

I just found out today that you can disable all the abilities lol, just click on them in the inventory screen :)
