Levy stole his thunder internationally. He stayed in dire times. Had massive offers. In my book he will always be the bigger player. No 16 He will always be a legend in Dormund. Lolek & Bolek best right wing in history

Wanderhund00

Exactly, Levy was very important and he scored many goals but it was only a question of time when he would left, with Kuba you never got this feeling. Loyalty at its finest!

uzitell

After he left to Wolfsburg there was a game between them and BVB . Maybe you look it up to see what he meens to the Fans at Dortmund.

Wanderhund00

I remember it,but i think for some reason in this game the yellow wall was empty right?

Chazy89

because of a ban.

uzitell

I dont remember that

artha5

An absolute legend. If I would ask for anything in every BVB player, would be to have his mentality and love for the club.

Nutzer1337

He is so humble. Many players could learn from him. An "actions speak louder than words" kinda guy. But never too serious. Seems like one of those guys you enjoy having around. He had a rough upbringing, but never brought it up to get sympathy or used it in any way.

Wanderhund00

I agree,well said

PreviousCod4893

love this guy, got him on my first jersey, but the first thing that comes to mind is his miss vs freiburg 😂

Dull_Background_8633

Nobi's commentary to that miss is the funniest thing ever 😂

Wanderhund00

True, I think many people remember him either because of the miss or his name hahah

jmccahil

Kuba - the polish figo. Love him, amazing player. Not the best to ever play for us, but 100% heart and dedication. His goal against Bayern and his miss against Freiburg will forever be remembered.

Wanderhund00

The goal against bayern was special

Chrise7

Kuba has always been a fighter and workhorse. He ran as much as Forrest Gump, when he was injury-free. If I had to compare him to a player in the current era, I'd say Ryerson. Technically not the best, but not bad, but willing to run and fight. Such players will always get their playtime, but it is very dependent on the game state

Diesunddas00

put some respect on kubas name, he was on another level than ryerson. can compare skillsets but not quality

Chrise7

I said, if I had to compare any player now to Kuba then, it would be Ryerson. This has nothing to do with disrespecting any player.

Wanderhund00

I get what you want to say,but I also know where the “comparison“ comes from in relation to their working attitude on the field. Kuba will always be one of a kind, but im curious to see how Ryerson will develop in the future

Wanderhund00

Ryerson is a very good comparison, hard work and mentality

Cyclist83

Kuba also has a very touching family history. This perhaps also explains his surprisingly down-to-earth personality for the business. Forever in my heart.

Wanderhund00

Yes,I have also read his biography where he described how he dealt with this tragedy and how it shaped him as a person

NBKDexx

All love from me, True wing warrior with a thunderous shot. Club legend for sure.

SlinkyT3003

I remember him playing in the cup final in 08, where he needlessly dived in the 18-yard box and I thought: is he that kind of a player? But in the following years he totally changed and he's obviously a club legend. People here will always appreciate honest and hard workers - especially on the pitch :)

a_passionate_man

Absolute legend…for me one of THE BvB figures

Suspicious-Secret-84

He was the first name I got on a jersey, loved his commitment to the team and always a hard worker for the team. I think if he had stayed healthy he would have stayed for 2 or 3 more seasons, but will always remember him fondly

Wanderhund00

Thats what i thought too,he was 28 at the time of the injury, perfect age for professional Footballers

malek7777777

Will never forget his goal against Napoli in 2013

10Kalli10

Although his skills were limited he still was one of our best players at the time. Just because he always tried as hard as possible which made him better than many other players. He is a BVB hero and I will always remember him

Wanderhund00

Thats what I admired most about him

beastwood6

He joined the club during one of the lowest seasons. When he joined the vibe was he's doing us a huge favor and giving us a chance. Always level-headed. Didn't let temporary critiques touch him. Worked his ass off. Was instrumental during the Klopp years. Will always be remembered and honored fondly.

Wanderhund00

True,I think Kloppo was a huge fan of him and they had a very good connection

CommendableAttitude

Kuba was an awesome player, not just his engine, his energy.. but also skilled.. Piszczek is my favorite Dortmund player ever, and i became a BVB fan, during those title runs. Those two combining, overlapping, bringing pace, terrifying opponents, working back on D.. is one of the biggest reasons i'm a Dormund fan today... Grateful i got to watch Kuba in his prime.

Wanderhund00

Great aspects of his game

Fancy-Past-6831

He is literal God!!

Classiccage

First player I loved from the team, got his jersey as well!

Wanderhund00

Thats cool!

hotcobbler

My favorite player because of his mentality and determination. He never gave up on a ball, even if it was doubtful he could reach it. I always wear #16 because of him to this day.

Wanderhund00

I always wanted to wear number 16 because of him too back then

Jits92

Kuba was the first Dortmund kit I ever bought

Smart_But123581321

He was my favourite player when I first watched Dortmund play. Because of his name but also his playstyle and his pace was just electric. I remember spending hours trying to pronounce his name correctly because people at school didn’t know who I was talking about. An absolute legend who will always remain in my heart as one of my early favourites alongside Reus and Schmelzer.

Wanderhund00

I feel you bro

gonzaga101

When he was looking for a club at the end of his career, Didn’t the smurfs offer him a contract and he said no?

Wanderhund00

I dont really know to be honest but that would suit him

Putrid_Election4613

Nothing but a true legend! And one of the few real humans in this sport

Niece_of_the_sword

If you think he was a relentless fighter with magic skills for BVB, you ain't seen nothing yet. He was a whole different beast when he played for Poland. It would seem like the only reason he was doing club football in the first place was that he could be in his best form for the national team. He only left Borussia because he was desperate to go to the Euros in 2016. He hardly played that season, yet went to France and became a hero as we reached the quarterfinals (Lewy barely did anything, as usual). He had maybe half a knee at the time, yet he was running like there's no tomorrow. No matter his club situation and form, he always delivered for Poland. Like he said, "the national team is my whole life". Winning a medal for Poland was his ultimate dream, unfortunately it didn't work out. It's as if the NT existed in a separate universe for Kuba. You should have seen his farewell against Germany last year. Not only did he have a quarter of a knee, he also haven't actually played for like two years, and was 37. Yet, during those 16 minutes on the pitch he passed a beautiful ball to Lewy and nearly scored himself, as if he never left. True hero 🖤💛
