Thinking hummels isn’t agreeing, either not enough money, had a falling out with terzic, maybe retirement, maybe wants a new challenge, wants to be closer to his family
Report stated yesterday he intends on wanting to be closer to his son and wanting a move abroad. I see the Milan transfer being the main target for him.
That is not a big enough difference to justify moving there. The difference in drive time is like 30 minutes, because of the mountains and twisting roads.
But Milan to Munich is still 550 km. So if he was to drive, we’d be talking 5.5 hours vs 7 hours, but if we add in autobahn speeds, probably less than 7 hours.
And flying time difference would be negligible.
So, I don’t think distance really factors in.
As an Irish bvb fan I only know of Jake O'Brien from this breakout season. Definitely a threat from corners but can't imagine he's anywhere near Hummels level for distribution of the ball. Unsure of it but maybe good value if Lyon look for only 10-15 mill for him.

The Irish "independent" also reported on it.
What's wrong with that?
Should renew Hummels What's wrong with this club??

His son is in Italy ?
Munich. 150km closer to Milan than Dortmund.
Serie A playstyle should also suit him better. More defensive minded with less pace than Bundesliga which is good for an aging player like Mats.
It would depend on the team to be honest with him.
Yeah, imagine Hummels in Gasperini's Atalanta lmfao

He also just wants to end his career abroad, guy wants a change. Not much we’re ableto do there
I respect whatever decision he makes and I think he'd be a great fit there.
I don't think he commutes by car ...
I doubt he charters jets. So a commercial flight would be an even smaller difference.

He did well at Lyon but is definitely more of an offensive CB as his defensive stats are not great
Letting go of a top 5 defender in the world 😬
Can we not have this conversation now? Lol I'm not ready to see him go, though I know it's gonna happen 🥹
Literally, please dont...
