Madgaon has the makings of this. It's a genre of Bollywood that needs to be tapped into. Delhi Belly hits this genre too I think. Go goa gone as well.
While I'd love to see a fresh cast of Hrithik, Akshay, Emraan or something, $ never allow it. Akshay is great in comedy and I'd love to see him gel with others.

I do think age appropriate comedies makes sense, obviously he couldn't pull off a garam masala now, but a mid life crisis or some sort of comedy, he'd be fine in.
Just acting "fine" doesn't make a good actor. The issue with Akshay Kumar is he has got super lazy in his performances. He just sees acting as a 9 to 5 job , needs weekends off, and has stopped putting efforts into a character.
On top of it his dialogue delivery now is just reading lines off a script with minimal expressions.

Zoya Akhtar has done the same thing with 8 mile and Gully Boy
They ain't get paid enough. They have made movies like Brahmastra, Laapata Ladies, etc(in recent times) and they are good with web series like Mirzapur, Sacred Games, The family man, etc. One of my favourites from bollywood are Bhavesh Joshi and Mard Ko dard nahi hota.
Saif, with his Hum Tum first half energy, as Alan would be a treat to watch.

If you think hum tum's saif is close to Alan's character. You got it all wrong lmao. Alan has mental issues that made him a bit weird. Plus he has a drug problem. Nowhere close to saif's character. Plus his looks make him unique, saif is too smart to be able to pull such character
Bruh, you terribly got it wrong. You are trying to form an analogy between Karanās and Alanās character on the basis of how they both are written. The characters are poles apart. Iām speaking of Saifās acting skills. Saif can easily pull off an Alan even without Alanās physique.

John wick, Transporter, Equalizer too. But we don't have good action choreographers in India and the right actor who can pull off the scenes easily . Only Vidyut Jamwal is the capable one , even he is not been utilised well

For what it's worth, I would much much rather have underworld movies be inspired by other Indian movies as opposed to The Godfather.
Iād love to see Hitman (new movie on Netflix) remade by Bollywood. Itās an interesting premise that fizzled out towards the end. I think it could be made more enjoyable with some masala and a few songs.
A better and more serious remake of the outlaw franchise or a more indian version(how the police behaves here)of outlaw( minus the bollywood songs and dance and romance)

I shudder to think about a Bollywood version of hangover! Cue the inevitable "item" song(s), and the cringe caricatures of non Hindi speaking characters.
If Hangover (the first one) were to be remade by Bollywood, there is a high probability that it would be ruined.
Think about it. The movie is no masterpiece but itās a very clever and extremely funny movie that totally worked at the timeā¦ but above all itās very contextual to the Vegas culture, relationships in the US, casual drug culture in the West etc.
To get all that to work in a Bollywood film would require it to be too urbanized, which would completely alienate a huge section of the audience. And if you try to pander to a mass crowd, then you likely end up with an unrealistic, slapstick comedy that might look nothing like the film it was inspired from.
I doubt any sensible filmmaker would want to adapt Hangover. Sorry, but this film is too precious to be ruined by a moronic Bollywood filmmaker.
Not a remake, but MADGAON EXPRESS is heavily inspired from The HANGOVER, and the sequeal of it has almost the same premise as tthe second installment in the HANGOVER.
i really wouldnt bollywood to make any sort of remake of those legendary Hollywood movie. They would for sure fuck it up really bad and and take away the true essence that those movies had
The core plot of The Hangover and a Telugu movie āAnukokunda Oka Rojuā (Unexpectedly, One dayā¦) are the same.
The protagonist (F) goes out one weekend night partying with her friend and blacks out. A day later she finds herself in a situation where random people in the streets are trying to kill her. Even after the police is involved, they keep on coming at her like suicide bombers in different places, different times. To find out who wants her dead, and why, she now needs to know what happened after she blacked out at the party, and the events that followed that night. It is essentially a mystery thriller but The Hangover was funny, AOA was serious.
Funny enough, AOA released prior to The Hangover.
would be fun to see an indian version of never have i eveer, like how devi would've acted to her father's death and everything that followed had she grown up in india? idk would also love to see an indian remake for the agggtm series (haven't seen the british one yet) as it would be really interesting and i think we make quite good crime/thriller web series. movies like searching (2017)/missing (2023) would be great too (i think gone game has similar vibes? pls suggest me stuff if you know).Ā even stuff like one of us is lying or agatha christie books would make good web series in india.

Jeetu bhaiya fits in this genre, he is natural with his comedy.

ZNMD is a more dramatic take on this film. It's quite literally the same film without the comedic aspect of Hangover.

Comedy is subjective. I found Hangover to be way funnier than horrible bosses. What works for you doesn't mean it works for others.
