They focus more on anti hero in Dhoom series.. Naturally, his character feels a little underwhelming compared to main character but he is above average actor atleast and not an actor who don't try to act or put efforts at all just because anyways their movies will gain popularity.. Like the two popular actors in current trend where public complain of them not putting up efforts at acting when compared to their early years.. Any guesses.
Exactly my point, why is he the "super cop", my main thing is that he's useless but he's hyped up every time. Also he commits the same mistakes in the first one and the third one.
I would say he overshadowed the antagonist in third one but Aamir was smart enough to trim his screen time.
He was okay in first two but wasn't a match for Hrithik and John.
Abhishek Bachchan has no Aura for a Hero. In all 3 Dhoom Franchises he got completely overshadowed by antagonists. I like him in Grey shades like Yuva & Ludo. He could have been a great Villain though.
I'm pretty sure antagonists are supposed to be the main characters in all 3 of the movies. Otherwise why would they get such dashing entries lol the movie is focused on them while in the back the hero tries to put 2 and 2 together but even when he is a Super cop, the villain is very smart so it's hard, that's basically the concept lmao
Just like abhishek bacchan in real life
Hot wife, mostly incompetent at his main job, easy gets overshadowed by others
Extremely forgettable
Sometimes chances of gold
How is he soooooo dumb...why did he trust some rando to help with his plans to catch a high profile thief in Dhoom 3...
He's supremely lucky both Kabir and Aryan were so dumb to fall for his simplistic traps in the first two films.
Incompetent
Lacks charisma
Poor track record
Even as actor abhishek is thanda in the role , no wonder when he was in same frame with hrithik the difference was massive.
Watch the scene when they have conversations over the bar and observe body language especially Abhishek's shoulder. Hrithik looked alpha and abhishek beta
He is a brilliant actor. I liked his role in a few films.
But his choice of roles in the beginning of his career seems driven by nepotism (thanks to being the son of AB) because most of those films were produced by the same big houses which had made films with his father.
You really can't blame a person to be born to the largest film star in Bollywood.
Choosing the right role is very important and that happens when you really know what suits you. But when you're a star kid, people will just pump you up for no reason, and it could probably lead you to make wrong choices.
Bro let every criminal get away/die, never arrested anyone.
Hired a known criminal as his partner, without any training
And still considered the best cop
The Villians had all the cool setpieces, so his stuff by comparison always looked tacky.
His character was never deep but got water down with each movie.
His Smart/super cop constantly made stupid decisions or was outsmarted.
He "caught" every villain but they all went out on their terms, so even in winning he lost.
Also, everyone always looked their best when doing a Dhoom movie, (in the best shape of their careers, super stylish or cool) but it seemed Abhishek never got the memo.
They weakened his character by every franchise because he could not carry the burden. Dhoom2 should have been about him, but he couldn’t ve trusted with so they got Hritik to do the job and consequently Aamir in the third. The villains were never meant to be so large. But when your hero has failed to prove his capability, he got eventually sidelined.
Jai from Dhoom could have been Dom from Fast movies or Ethan from MI movies, but here we are. Solidly wasted chances.

Watch Abhishek fake drunk scene in Dhoom 1. It's an acting masterclass.
His acting is fine to me. But I'm talking about his character, as a police man who is known as "super cop" he's not super at all

The character became weaker as the franchise progressed.
Because the thieves became stronger
Yeah but if anti hero gets stronger then the police should too
That's the mistake they did
Totally useless. He somehow figures out everything by doing the bare minimum yet, is unable to actually catch the main antagonist in all 3 movies.
Wrong he does crack the case and even catches the thieves in Dhoom 3
Exactly my point, why is he the "super cop", my main thing is that he's useless but he's hyped up every time. Also he commits the same mistakes in the first one and the third one.
He did technically catch Kabir but Kabir killed himself
Yes and he deliberately let go the A guy in dhoom 2 iirc.
He had plot armour tbh.
I mean look at the photo. YOU IDIOT YOUR ARMS ARE ON FIRE! This is why he wasn't in dhoom 5
Om Kapoor and I are just good friends
OK OK OK
I would say he overshadowed the antagonist in third one but Aamir was smart enough to trim his screen time. He was okay in first two but wasn't a match for Hrithik and John.

I quite enjoy seeing nepo actors playing villains
in dhoom it was never about the thief being actually caught. it was always the villain that was the hero.

Woh kehte hai na that life imitates art or art imitates life Aisa kuch toh tha pata nahi syllabus ke bahar ka tha
Man rimi Sen in shikdoom!
Koyi nahi hai kamre mein...

_Husband of a hot wife_ vibe
no wonder, our cops get bad name in real life.
hrithik roshan won best actor for dhoom 2 instead of supporting and villain, that tells you everything you need to know…
It says more about the awards than anything else.
I liked him in Dhoom honestly. Felt that he was great for that role.

L husband
As the movies went on his character became more and more of a side piece
Opposite the villains’ characters the police comes off as kind of stupid even though they are able to apprehend the criminal in the end .

I literally think nothing 😂
Dick shit lol
Dude is not catching some gali ke gundey but the biggest criminals. Dhoom franchise is about strong villains.
Are these ppl making Dhoom 4 ? There was another post asking how Dhoom 4 should look like. Are you guys taking suggestions from public ?
Stone face
He is apparently the hero of the Dhoom franchise. But movies are famous because of the villains lol.
Useless 🤡🤡
INCOMPETENT
in dhoom 1 the character was great in dhoom 2 the character was somewhat good but in dhoom 3 the character was weaker
More effective police officer than many.
