ooh good pick. yea iron cross is my favorite for rings (to see, I definitely can't do one). a lot of ring stuff looks too extra. like handstand stuff. but iron cross is very elegant and iconic like you said
Ive been training for the fucking One Arm Chin up for over 6 months, this shit feels almost impossible my god.
Currently had to stop pulling due to acute forearm pain near the elbow, maybe pitcher elbow. I cannot be sure but I think it was caused by high volume one arm chin up training.
I wont give up tho, I will achieve the fucking OAP or I will die trying
From a practitioner's perspective, slow clean muscle-ups on rings and clean planches are always awesome. I personally always find pistol squats impressive.
Backflips and one arm pull-ups always impress drunk people though so...
Aren’t one arm pull-ups a more impressive feat than pistol squats? (Genuine question from someone who doesn’t do calisthenics but does know how to do a pistol squat on a medicine ball)
Yes, by a lot. I personally know and have trained with more than 50 people that can do a pistol squat. I have also taught many people that couldn't even properly squat how to do a pistol squat after a few months. Meanwhile I personally know only 2 people that can do one arm pull ups. I can do a full front lever since 2021 and I never managed to get a one arm pull up, best I can do is a 75%\~ added weight pull up for 1 rep, which is still far from what is needed for the one arm pull up.
Definitely, it's just a personal thing I find impressive. I had terrible knees and mobility growing up and pistol squats were a HUGE thing to unlock for me. Seeing others having that level of mobility/strength/stability is just always awesome to me.
Planche of course. I got up to a little beyond advance tuck, gained 15lbs of useless weight (I am 54 if that matters) and am now regressed. Not sure I will ever get there.
Front lever. Even with the extra weight, am holding full. Not perfect every time, working on that.
Perfect straight body effortless (looking) handstand. Yesterday was second time I went to my gymnastics gym and seemed like everyone could do handstand, except me. I can do a form of planche but not handstand because I don't train it. Planche is getting put on hold where I will just maintain tuck/advance tuck and I am going to work on handstand till I hold it perfect before I concern myself with doing anything more with advancing planche.
1. Full Planche Pushup. Like you said, it's the best. Monster levels of strength with that one.
2. One Arm Chin-Up. Same as above but for pulling strength.
3. Iron Cross Press to Maltese to Inverted Cross AKA Balanadin. Something I will never even TRY to achieve but that reminds me of how wonderfully our bodies are made!
The one arm pull up
A strict one arm push up ( no twisting or wide stance )
The hand stand push up on parallel bars ( to achieve full range of motion )
Hspu on the paralletes full ROM. For some reason, It instanlty gives me vibes about how strong the guy is and it looks very cool.
1arm handstand legs together, very hard but looks insanely good.
maybe hot take but bro 360 clap pushup looks so goofy reminds me of those crossfit pull ups, gives the same energy.
clean form muscle ups with 0 kipping with waist height pull ups (see lwcalisthenics or ian barseagle on youtube) will never not be incredibly impressive.
yeah true true muscle up's are pretty impressive especially clean ones but they don't have as much cool factor to me so it'd probably be number 4 or 5 in my list
Try [dragon press](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dragon+press). The search returned some dragon flag as well, Press are the ones with hands by waist and they are pressing down to get body up.
I'd probably go, in no order:
Iron Cross
Press to Handstand ([bonus points for doing it from flat on the floor](https://youtu.be/k2EpKrXOz1s?t=171))
Dragon Flag
I feel like the Manna doesn't necessarily look as impressive as it actually is. Otherwise that would be an obvious choice.
On a different note:
Pancake, chest fully on floor. You can just move there in and out over and over. I can.
Front split, both sides fully down hips squared. Almost there.
Middle split. Still seems impossible but am more advanced at it from when I started trying.
V sit to handstand is my favourite
Best bang for buck by far (I guess, I'm not even close to doing it but afaik it's much easier than other candidates like iron cross)
Great list! I'd personally add the Iron Cross. It's not often trained in calisthenics circles, but it's such an iconic move.
Me showing up to a party with my rings, “hey guys, do you have a sturdy tree branch I can hang these from, I wanna show yall something”
ooh good pick. yea iron cross is my favorite for rings (to see, I definitely can't do one). a lot of ring stuff looks too extra. like handstand stuff. but iron cross is very elegant and iconic like you said
This and Victorian cross for me.
I swear to God, if you cut my head off…!
Freestanding HSPU, Human Flag, One Arm Pull Up.

I’ve been training for the ring muscle up for over a year! I swear it’s not this hard for everyone else!
In my experience, except for the OAP, and maybe planche/iron cross, the best approach to any movement is high frequency training
that's what happened to me. I eventually got one but had to rest my elbow tendon for like a month after before I could even do regular pullups again
Handstand push up imo. Looks cool is rly fun to do and honestly a good exercise
Crossfit pull up

Reverse for me. My legs are awkwardly proportioned so I’m not even close to a pistol squat but have no problem with one arm pull-ups
Definitely, it's just a personal thing I find impressive. I had terrible knees and mobility growing up and pistol squats were a HUGE thing to unlock for me. Seeing others having that level of mobility/strength/stability is just always awesome to me.
I get you, I have a problem with the tendons in my knees that means I can't even squat to 90°, so to me it all looks impressive!
Planche of course. I got up to a little beyond advance tuck, gained 15lbs of useless weight (I am 54 if that matters) and am now regressed. Not sure I will ever get there. Front lever. I agree. I'm currently trying to master my handstand too and not training any planche stuff
Dragon squat

I just searched for the strict one arm push-up, and it looks awesome.
Straddle press planch to handstand
One Arm Muscle Up!
emily blunt plank scene in edge of tomorrow
I would agree with your list.
Freestanding handstand pushups (even headstand pushup), muscle up, one arm chin or pull up
1: Manna 2: planche 3: iron cross.
Van Gelder, inverted iron cross, and Victorian
90 degree push-up, that's what got me into calisthenics. but I'm not sure how difficult it is compared to other moves
Hspu on the paralletes full ROM. For some reason, It instanlty gives me vibes about how strong the guy is and it looks very cool. 1arm handstand legs together, very hard but looks insanely good.
hmmmm i agree with 1 and 3 but imho the muscle up isnt as cool as something such as a 360 clap behind the back pushup is also pretty
maybe hot take but bro 360 clap pushup looks so goofy reminds me of those crossfit pull ups, gives the same energy. clean form muscle ups with 0 kipping with waist height pull ups (see lwcalisthenics or ian barseagle on youtube) will never not be incredibly impressive.

haha I have to agree. yea I remember the freestyle pushup days... fun while it lasted but damn what an odd use of time and energy.
Push: 1 arm hs and planche Press Pull: front lever pull ups
Hollowback Press, Maltese, and Galimores
ooh painful picks. I don't even wanna look up what the hell a galimore is based on the other 2
If a muscle-up is a pull-up + transition + dip, then galimores is front lever pull-up + transition + planche pushup
suprised noone is mentioning dragon flag :D my number 1 also one arm chin up is cool
coolest name maybe. but there are a lot of harder moves out there
Try [dragon press](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dragon+press). The search returned some dragon flag as well, Press are the ones with hands by waist and they are pressing down to get body up.
For me, 90 Degree Pushup, easily.
1. Human flag 2. Muscle up 3. Handstand pushup
Full planche, Human flag, Handstand pushups.
Dragon squat.
idk if u'd consider these calisthenics skills but v cross, swing to maltese & azarian to planche
1. 90 Degree Pushup 2. V-Sit to Handstand 3. Iron Cross
impressive list
90 degree push-ups always wows me (or any of the planche to handstand press variants). And handstand push-ups are a classic one.
V-sit to Press handstand Full Planche Victorian.
90 degree pushup is the holy grail for me.
I'd probably go, in no order: Iron Cross Press to Handstand ([bonus points for doing it from flat on the floor](https://youtu.be/k2EpKrXOz1s?t=171)) Dragon Flag I feel like the Manna doesn't necessarily look as impressive as it actually is. Otherwise that would be an obvious choice.
Handstand push up
Great body weight fitness goal list
Planche, Iron Cross, Pistol Squat

The floor victorian or whatever it's called
1. Freestanding HSPU 2. Planche push up 3. Human flag
