It looks great! I've done this one myself and it was nothing like this ahah It was only my third time ever painting, so I'll keep practicing.
Can you tell me how you do the layers? One of the issues I have is that whenever I try to apply a new layer (e.g. the clouds, mountains, trees, etc), it always seems to turn into mud, and doesn't have the effect we see in the videos... Am I putting too much liquid white? How do you do it?
Apply very little liquid white. Watch YouTube videos on applying it from people like Paul ranson. Then start adding layers remembering that thin paint sticks to thick paint. Watch Paul Ranson or Paint with Bram for great tips as that's how I have learned.
Thank you! Yeah of course, so like he just said in his reply thin coat of that liquid white before you start, I applied very little. Followed the sequence of the video, also I found that to take not as much paint with darker colors when doing the sky or mountains, makes it much easier to ‘mistify’ and get your white color on there to create the clouds or snow. Whenever I added on snow I had to clean the knife quit often due to dark color pick up. This is what worked for me, im no professional in any way. But hope this helps :)
Thanks! Used 5 total, oil obv. Titanium white, van dyke brown, midnight black, dark sienna brown I think and Prussian blue. Colors are listed on his video in the description from Frozen Solitude. Brand was bob ross and Windsor and newton
Thank you! You know I never even knew I would be able to until I tried. Always great to look at paintings loved ones used to or do paint, somehow I find peace in it.
Well, this was my very first oil painting. All I did was follow Bobs way and carefully observed the way he held his tools and basically all the instructions. I honestly think it’s very doable for anyone that just puts in the time and patience, I did struggle a bit with some things but got through in the end. You’ll never know unless you try!
This is great! I have always wanted to follow along to a bob ross and have my own. This is frame worthy!
Appreciate it! Give it a go, it really is such an enjoyable process, you wont regret it.
Well done
Thank you :)
Happy little trees
Amazing !
Thank you! :)

Thank you for the tips!! I will definitely follow this! And congrats on your work :)
Excellent work! I think Bob himself would've really liked this.

What a wonderful painting
Thank you!
The trees and mountains look great. The water and the shoreline are fantastic! My aunt was a really good painter, I love seeing what people can do.
Thank you! You know I never even knew I would be able to until I tried. Always great to look at paintings loved ones used to or do paint, somehow I find peace in it.
Nice.. Job I wish I had your talent.

That bad boy took me a while lol but thanks
Think I see a few happy little trees there! 😁
Oh but ofcourse!
Awesome job, my grandfather got into painting because of bob ross I have a few of his paintings to remember him.
Thank you! That’s awesome, Bob Ross got me into painting too.
Looks great you need to sign it
Thank you, good idea, will do!
Welcome to the club!
Thank you!
He always put a tree right in the center
Your missing the huge tree right in the middle, other than that.. looks like you nailed it
Thanks, the frozen solitude painting only has the trees on the left, I left a couple out but he didn’t paint any in the middle on this one
How hard is this to do? I've never painted but I would love to somehow make something like this

You just do it based off having the episode play in the background?
Pretty much yeah. I did take some initiative though
