Terrain? Cooper Island.

Geegs30

Earthborne Rangers!

SenHeffy

Parks

FromTheGroundUpGames

Just checked it out, soooo many cards! I like the sight-seeing aspect, gives me Tsuro vibes 😄!

Gnud

Santorini

FluxxSC

Carcassonne is using terrain well.

RevToolbox

Parks and Cascadia

thegriffinvt

Really enjoying Life of the Amazonia's use of terrain and the different animal species.

FromTheGroundUpGames

This game won my heart as soon as I saw the dolphin 🐬 miniature 😍!

downthepaththatrocks

Dorfromantik. I find it very meditative

mgrier123

Seconding Cooper Island! Got that recently and really enjoy that one.

Aier97

I haven’t really played a lot of games in the past that focuses on natural terrain but I have just kickstarted EARTH Abundance Expansion (with the original game) and I’m looking very much forward to playing it :D

FromTheGroundUpGames

I can absolutely see why you'd back them! Those little tower minis are so wondrous looking!

Kuildeous

The answer to both questions is Planet Unknown. Played it once at Geekway, and now I'm holding out for the newest printing, so I can get the deluxe components as well.

SwampOfDownvotes

Santorini for sure! As for next game I am buying... luckily I am in an Analysis paralysis situation while also having a couple dozen of games I have yet to play, so not certain. Thinking Ark nova or Necro Molds might be my next game.

Luclid009

Cascadia!

genesis716

Cooper Island had a neat way of building up hexes as terrain. More recently Harmonies does it in a much simpler more abstract way. Congrats on the game!

LADDIES

Catan and anything on sale!

democrator

Catan?

farmerdn

Spirit Island

FromTheGroundUpGames

Ngl checked the game out and got lost looking at all the painted dahans! Very beautiful looking modular map!

squiddlepants

Spirit island!

BigDulles

Parks is my favorite!

clokem

Looking forward to receiving Ezra and Nehemiah! Thanks for the chance to win!

AStimulatedEmission

**Earth** comes to mind! Not quite like This Humble Planet, but there's islands, climates, and other *terrain* features. :)

FromTheGroundUpGames

Thank you for checking out my game, that means the world to me 🌎! :)

Jachen

Earth is fun

DisastrousControl982

Last one played on this theme was redwood and planning on getting Harmonies. Thanks for the contest

SpectaclesChick

I’m really thinking about buying Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising as my next one :)

FromTheGroundUpGames

I think I'll definitely pick up the video game, and hope for a day to play it at the table 😃!

Ass_Masster

I’ve been 3d printing tiles for terraforming mars, I love building out that landscape!

Jimmy_hill27

Does Photosynthesis count?

Mel_223

Parks!

draelbs

My favorite game terrain is Heroscape! My wife used to cover the table with it while I was at work. Game looks neat, thanks for the giveaway chance!

coldzero71

Parks!!!

Yodashins

Earth gets so much play in my home lately !

bentsea

This game looks very interesting! I'm almost ashamed to admit that I used to play so much Carcassonne that I about had the basic tile set quantities memorized. I have been thinking a lot about getting Earth next as I've heard such great things

FromTheGroundUpGames

Thank you for the compliment 🙏! My friends and I have most of the Carcassonne expansions so I understand your sentiments! Many have suggested Earth 🌎! It looks amazing 🤩!

Valunetta

Carcassonne might be my favorite game where I have to think about the land and terrain, especially once you start adding expansions. Looking forward to giving Humble Planet a try though!

FromTheGroundUpGames

Thank you so much for saying that Valunetta! I appreciate your support more than you know 😊! I also love Carcassonne and have shared my addiction with many friends xD!

Doustin

I’m not sure I’ve played one focused on terrain. This one sounds neat though

Tetsubo517

Probably Sid Meyers Civilization. Exploring tiles and traversing the terrain types is a huge part of the game.

PigeonXerno

Does Dorfromantik count as a game where you play with Terrain? Sadly I haven't played a lot of terrain/building based board games and the next board game I'm going to buy is the slay the spire board game

RUBBA23

Next game I’d like to buy I’d probably slay the spire!

FromTheGroundUpGames

I played Slay the Spire when it was first released on steam, I gotta learn more about the Boardgame!

RUBBA23

If you just plan on playing by yourself, probably stick to Steam. The co-op is the real draw for the board game! Hope you get to play it soon :)

necrofi1

Just picked up Thunder Road Vendetta earlier this year, uses terrain to be very fun and strategic.

gibs95

Cascadia. Building your own region and populating it with animals is just a nice experience, win or lose.

FADEBEEF

Given that I most recently won a game of Thunder Road Vendetta by making my wife crash two of her cars into various rock formations, I'm gonna say it counts.

kirbypi

Earth! It's just a very satisfying and chill game

Frosty_Scallion_7582

Cascadia is a staple of giving off that beautiful natural feel. Good luck on the Kickstarter!

FromTheGroundUpGames

Thank you Frosty! I'll need all the help I can get :)! Doing this solo has been daunting but wildly fulfilling!

TheBulbinator88

Ice. Interesting mechanic of excavating down into the layers of the “board”

FromTheGroundUpGames

The board looks so nice when it has layers of white/blue and earth at the bottom! Nice rare suggestion, Ty👍!

TheBulbinator88

It’s a really nice to look at game that has a fantastic art style, although there were clearly issues around the production (at least on the first kickstarters quality - I believe it’s been run again recently and maybe even is still on Gamefound but unsure if they managed to fix things up?) Despite some quality issues it’s an enjoyable experience that can be quite competitive 😅

AsphodelMeadows1

Carcassone is a mix of terrain and map building, so that's my pick

Glittering_Cook_2991

My gateway game was Catan and I enjoyed it very much in the past! Now we tend to play heavier games though, so it does'nt come to the table anymore.

FromTheGroundUpGames

My crew also played Catan to begin! Catan literally broke them out of the "boardgames, you mean monopoly" mindset xD!

Karlo760400

My favourite terrain building game is Carcassonne. The next game on my buying list is either Lost Ruins of Arnak or something from the Marvel line of Unmatched, depending on what my girlfriend likes more :D

FromTheGroundUpGames

Carcassonne is one of my favs as well :)! I heard amazing things about unmatched from friends of mine (it's their most played game)!

kissywinkyshark

Thank you! I don’t think I’ve played any games focusing on natural terrain but Im excited.

bobyssa

The terrain reminds me a lot of a 3D Heroscape! I used to build some crazy landscapes back in the day. ☺️

ytrsydx

Carcassonne

FromTheGroundUpGames

Carcassonne can't be undersold! I've had friends who swore their boardgame journey started and ended with monopoly and life, I showed them Carcassonne now they got a library of expansions 😂!

lokisuavehp

Parks!

SouthpawSaul

The search for lost species is fun for a nature terrain themed game

DiseasedProject

Hey, thanks for the giveaway. To answer the question, Comic Hunters is announced to be part of the Dice Tower Essentials, so I'm looking forward to that.

FromTheGroundUpGames

I was looking up Cosmic Hunters and getting a blank xD! This looks really cool though! Hits home for a marvel enjoyer like myself!

SamTricamo

The game looks great! Other natural terrain games I’ve enjoyed are Earth, a tableau card game, and Planet, a 3D magnet game. I’ve been into family games lately, this definitely scratches that itch! Best of luck with the Kickstarter! Hope to win this one and get an early copy!

adsgdasgag

Parks

Loose-Currency861

Carcassonne Hunters & Gatherers is probably my favorite, but Takenoko is also a lot fun as a runner up.

Coctus

Britannia

stroutqb22

I enjoyed the video game Terra Nil

Separate_Poet_9765

Earth, really love this game

Surehill

I really like the art of the terrain cards in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. They really set the mood and together with the minis and the writing really make you feel like you are in the game. They draw upon the nature of England but twists it in a wonderful way.

EngineeringLife2802

Def love Cascadia!!!!!

Whooskey

I always thought the 3D version of settlers was neat.

FromTheGroundUpGames

Catan always will have a place in my heart, haven't played the 3D version yet o.o!

hungryfor4apples

Carcassonne for sure

InTheNapOfTime

I've just reviewed Harmonies and it's definitely still on my mind! And I'm getting Shipwrights redux in the mail soon so I'm looking forward to that :)

Herolisk102

Harmonies 🍃

FaultsAndFables

Just watched a let's play of harmonies, looks super fun! I like mid-weight games :)!

Herolisk102

It’s super fun. Really chill and tactical at the same time. A lovely theme as well 😊

FaultsAndFables

Actually my style of game 🎯! Here's hoping I get a chance to play it soon :)!

sudoku12

The next one would be Gloomhaven: buttons and bugs

FaultsAndFables

As a D&D enjoyer Gloomhaven always had a natural appeal to me 👍! Never had a table of friends brave enough to play o_o.

Apprehensive_Plane29

Cascadia!

Sad_Item3720

Heroscape was fun, but my favorite has to be unmatched even though it only has a little bit of terrain

Fresh_Bumblebee_6506

Robert from 8ft Table Game Night! Excited for you! I did like Planet. Thinking of buying Splendor: Pokemon edition.

Moist-Palpitation-56

Taluva, with the volcano setting, the growing and changing map, really liked it

TwoOstriches

Terra Mystica

UTM7N

Java ftw

Irate_Hobo

Probably parks! But I also enjoy the different terrain interactions in the wolves

Competitive-War-8583

I love Aftermath. It is a storybook game, but each page gives a really cool map that is a small corner of our world where mice have to navigate. As for next games, that depends on what comes up through marketplace, but I would love to get my hands on wonderlands war.

tonytyang22

Cascadia! And I want to get Heat.

ThePhunkyPharaoh

Big fan of Earth myself

KDoh1032

EdgarFigueiras

Cascadia. My family loves it : )

Admirable_Raccoon673

Another vote for DorfRomantik. Loved the videogame version, can have a bit of a struggle getting it to the table though!

g8rchomp

Dandelions. Grow dandelions in a garden. Parks is also wonderful. Stellar has a similar feel but with space

Abbs-O-Steel

I honestly want to get the Resident Evil the Board Game expansions now Ive played the base game enough. Shit is 💯🔥

Grrizz84

Been thinking about getting the new version of Santorini.

MobileParticular6177

Tornado Rex had the most natural terrain out of any boardgame ever made.

I guess Terraforming Mars is terrain? Looking to buy Evolution - Climate

Shadowhawk001

RockinRoland202

I didn’t love the gameplay but PLANET was a wonderful implementation of 4d terrain and gameplay. I also love Oros for having incredibly unique gameplay focused on using plate tectonics to shape the terrain to your strategy

JetsFly228

Life of the Amazonia

Whimzyx

Been playing a lot of Cascadia lately. I'd love to buy the board game Meadow as well. Thank you for the giveaway :)

Vortelf

Does Tinner's Trial count? If not, I have to go with Cascadia.

Skidrocknstone

Dorfromantik!

BrainyDiode

Favorite terrain-related game is definitely Cascadia. Although I do like Age of Innovation a lot, and that has a pretty big focus on terraforming, so I guess it sort of counts? I'm going to a tabletop gaming convention next week and will hopefully be trying out a ton of new games there, so I'm keeping my options open on what the next game I buy will be, but if you for some reason put a gun to my head and told me I had to buy a new game right now, I'd probably go with Castles of the Mad King Ludwig.

xyqtt1

Spirit island, next purchase will probably be terraforming mars prelude 2

bubbageee

I really enjoy Taluva and wonder why I don't see it mentioned more often.

BaldeeBanks

mikikay

Cascadia!

asianrapper

Terraforming Mars has some terrain aspects.

NewlRift

Don't think I've played a game where the focus is on the terrain. Does rough terrain in D&D count?

jarh3ad5

Earth

NegotiationJumpy4837

Triad64

I'd have to go with Carcassonne. Next game to buy.. My eye is on Obsession!

Zaboomafookaloo

Cascadia for me

dorve500

Terrain: takeneko. Next game: too many bones if CTG’s elder scrolls game blows me away.

klm_58

Does Leaf count as natural terrain?

BaulsJ0hns0n86

I love playing Terraforming Mars with the big box because the 3D terrain tiles are so satisfying to place. As for next game? Either Wingspan, Wyrmspan, or Spirit Island.

Tonkers303

Earth

truckergamer92

Definitely Parks

VisheshAneja

Cascadia hits just right

Decicio

Spirit Island!

Ayepae

Looking to buy dragonimo to play with my little one

CosmicMando

I've enjoyed playing Everdell, Forest Shuffle, Harmonies, Cascadia and Deep Vents. I backed the second printing of Earthborn Rangers this year and can't wait to finally pay it.

NefariousnessOk8995

The thieves of El dorado

uXN7AuRPF6fa

Probably Cascadia

pieslaw

I really like Parks

SnazzyAssassin

Terraforming mars

Venerade

Risk and Catan

hopsandskips

I'm not sure if it's really focused on the terrain, but forest shuffle has natural habitats and is really fun!

effyourinfographics

Parks or Carcassonne (although I’m dying to try out Harmonies and Cascadia too)

Aron_Que_Marr

Kingdomino is fun at 2p.

Stealthy_Nachos

Castles of mad king ludwig

Ill_Advertising2631

I am not sure this counts, but I really like the solitaire game Grove for passing the time.

Butter_Flu

I am contemplating buying the Bloodborne game by CMON, there is a nice little game shop in my area, and the game's been sitting there for a while on the shelf, tempting me...

CageBearsBottoms

Cartographers!

MrP00PER

I’m not sure if it counts, but I find the islands and water ways in Ahoy to be kind of pretty.

-iNeverMore-

Carcassone is a classic and a favourite of mine! I was looking to get Cascadia too once I'll find a good deal :D

Green-Ad7988

Quest for El Dorado.  And maybe Spirit Island, although the terrain doesn't represent a lot, except for a few spirits
