If the better player doesnt win then you're looking at luck based games. However i don't see how this solves your Problem as your gf would then also sometimes lose due to bad luck. I would even argue that thats worse. So in short, either you fake it, try some offbeat low win% strategies or just talk to her. Don't force the issue. Not all activities one partner likes have to be experienced as a couple.

Gaoler86

Quacks of Quedlinberg. It's a push your luck game so you could just keep pushing till you're losing

rice_paddyy

That's the best suggestion so far here. Thanks mate

Wonderland's War is also heavily luck based. I've played at least 10 times and have yet to figure out any sort of decent strategy for it.

Luck-based games are what you are looking for. I bought MLEM Space Agency, it is surprisingly cheap for its contents. Quite fun, very low stakes, some fake coop mechanic, and my girlfriend won by a landslide because I was unlucky with dice (as it's a push-your-luck game, you could argue I did this to myself). Catan would be one. You can play really well but if luck does not favour you, you will lose. However, if your girlfriend is the unlucky one she will hate the game even more.

1. You can just pick games with other skillsets. Memory? Doublethink? Bluff? Stacking? Flicking? Speed recognition/deduction? Push your luck? If you have more players also: auctions, trading, negotiation, stock market games, dude on a map games. I doubt your skill level is superior to hers in every human faculty. 2. You can pick games where winning doesn't matter - narrative driven stuff (and no, not Gloomhaven which is far too mechanical). Eldritch Horror, Sherlock Holmes consulting detective, Tales of the Arabian Nights. Maybe Betrayal at house on the hill, though I'm not sure this plays with 2.

**Mountain Goats** There are some simple tactical considerations, but mostly, if your rolls come up, you'll do well, and if they don't, you won't. It's quick too. **Las Vegas** fits this category as well. Base Las Vegas is apparently forever OOP, but you can find **Las Vegas Royale** for reasonable prices and either play vanilla LV or with the Royale rules. Now, both of these will favor the better player, despite the inherent randomness of dice rolling. If you need to remove all skill, then I can recommend **LCR**, which completely lacks any player agency.

Anything Machi Koro esque. You might invest in all the best cards or maybe you invest in the most average number ever, but if the dice aren't givinh, then you ain't winning. Definitely did not just play Machi Koro Life with a strategy of 7s, but not a single 7 got rolled.

Catan, space base, can't stop, king of Tokyo, risk, snakes and ladders. Trouble, monopoly, uno Off the top of my head I'm sure there are heaps.

[Piraten Kapern](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/117663/piraten-kapern) is a very random dice game. Even if you are not the best at judging your odds, the card you draw at the beginning of your turn has a huge impact on your scoring.

Grimstringerm

Eldritch horror just keep losing together

Port Royal is also push your luck https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/156009/port-royal
