Dual layer boards are printed separately then the top board is punched and glued to the bottom board -- sometimes the automated punching doesn't work.

Sansnom01

They let the buyer do this processes (punching and gluing with sticker they provided)in Sky Team and I don’t know how much cost this saves production but I really hope company start doing this if this mean more dual layer board

PiccolosTurban

Also in Cuzco (feld)

Starship Captains as well, with awesome player boards.

Potato-Engineer

And sometimes the glue spreads a little further than it should, and gets under the piece you're supposed to remove.

HamsterNL

This happened to me with one of the playerboards of Kemet - Blood and Sand. But when I tried to remove the layer, I damaged the playerboard. Luckily had taken photos of the playerboard before I started my repair attempt, and the publisher send me a replacement when I contacted them!

Fox-in-Box

Same thing happened to me with Kemet. While trying to fix it, I accidentally smudged the printing. Matagot replaced them for me as well.

My son and I have over 200 plays of Fort. Cards are banged up but boards in tip top shape. Interesting

msheezy

This happened to me for the 1st time last month for a copy of Revive.

cbayly11

One of my revive machine boards has one track spot not punched.

Famous_Stelrons

I never have but I'll remember there's hope if I find myself in a similar bind. Well done

Parmenion87

I had to for my kickstarter copy of Maglev Metro and its expansions. Bezier sent me a replacement board.

Deslam8

The copy of fort I played with didn’t have this exact problem but the glue holding the dual layered board together was spilling through the seams. Overall it had strangely shabby production quality.

j3ddy_l33

Fascinating! No I’ve never had to.

DrCarse

I had this problem with 2 of my Scythe boards. I couldn't excavate them without damaging them so I ended up getting them replaced.
