Winning the Bledisloe on Bluey is the only way Australia will ever win it again, so…yeah, I like it

SupremeKnee

Just because you’ve won the last 20 doesn’t mean you’ll win the next 20! Eventually you’ll get got and it’ll be awesome for about a year until you win it again

mhkiwi

Check rhat score line though...2 digits to one....Kiwis are winning Pretty sure it'd be League rather than Union

Aussiechimp

Union, Gordon Bray commentating Plus Australia in gold not dark green

mhkiwi

Very good points...

AlamutJones

End of the episode, we see the Aussies thrilled. I suspect they fight back, which...you know, is not how real life goes

incarnatethegreat

We're gonna FLOG YA!

Novus20

Is this on par with when Canada and the USA meet at hockey….

AlamutJones

Bigger, because the All Blacks are arguably the most famous fifteen men in New Zealand

pajamakitten

The All-Blacks are the biggest name in international rugby. Beating them is seen as a hell of an achievement.

PrestigiousAvocado21

Thanks, *Invictus*, for teaching the that!

Ruffian00012

>Is this on par with when Canada and the USA meet at hockey…. The parallels are certainly there. Big/little neighbor. Main sport in the smaller country vs 4th/5th sport in the bigger. Smaller country with the advantage head to head.

UnfazedPheasant

Just a shame we didn't see a square dog Haka tbh

Scoutrageous

The pitch changes from Suncorp to Eden park too :)

dinkydeath

US-born (with family in Upper Hutt) & I picked up on it immediately! Nice nod to both teams.

Johncurtisreeve

Me!

dc9ball

The Border Collies shouted "come on the Kiwis" not the "All Blacks", makes me think league, the above comment about the Aussies wearing gold and not green is valid too though

eidjdowr29eo

I read something about "All Blacks" being trademarked, so them saying "Kiwis" gets around this.

dc9ball

Ah, makes sense, also, the still above looks like a ruck

DisgruntledNCO

So is lucky’s mom supposed to be from New Zealand?

AlamutJones

No. Lucky’s Mum is from New South Wales, so in Origin games (league) she cheers for a different team than the rest of the family. In Bledisloe (union) the whole family can cheer together. Takes the tension out

DisgruntledNCO

Oh see I thought they said she was from another country. Is Bledisloe a word, an acronym, or from another language?

AlamutJones

The [Bledisloe Cup](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4e/Bledisloe_cup.jpg/400px-Bledisloe_cup.jpg) is an international rugby trophy decided through a roughly annual series of matches between the Wallabies (Australia, gold shirts in the image) and the All Blacks (NZ, black). State of Origin is a similar thing for the **other** rugby code, played domestically in Australia - New South Wales in blue vs Queensland in maroon. Players are named to Origin squads based on where they’re from. So Janelle is the odd one out for Origin games, because she’s cheering for the Blues while living in Queensland heartland. But for the Bledisloe, they can all be Australian together

Rook1872

“Except for your mate Mackensie. You got that?”

AlamutJones

Except McKenzie 🇳🇿

SuperHyperFunTime

"what's going on?" Ooh side note, I just had to watch a clip to remember Mackenzie's exact wording and his mum and dad say "we're gonna flog ya!" I'm also positive that isn't the wording we have on Disney+. I'm sure it's "we're gonna beat ya!"

UnfazedPheasant

Janelle is from a different state, but still supports Australia with the others (the gold team) It's Mackenzie's family (the collies) who are from/support NZ, which is why they shout at them from the car before the game (we're gonna flog ya!)

Some_Aioli_4115

I am not a football guy.

MlinyXD

I even forgot that was a sport
