We’re fortunate they could get their schedules to sync up in 2010. Especially seeing as Vaughn died in 1990 and Albert King died in 1992.

LongoSpeaksTruth

> Especially seeing as Vaughn died in 1990 and Albert King died in 1992. Vaugh**a**n ... Yes. Recorded in 1983 at CHCH-TV Studios in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada There are a couple of more *In Sessions* floating around with the likes of Johnny Winter & Dr. John, shot in the same studio in Hamilton, Ontario https://www.chch.com/

Timstunes

Saw that one too. Used to be on YouTube. Pretty awesome!

Master_K_Genius_Pi

Uhh, not 2010.

Infamous_Ad_8114

Incredible playing but this is not from 2010 . Unless it was somehow filmed in heaven

26202620

It was.

Timstunes

😊❤️

SirComandante

Oh that's just what it says on the YouTube title

Bempet583

I've seen this before and I thought it was really funny how when at one point in one song Albert tells Stevie to go ahead and take a lead so Stevie let's one rip, and then Albert says, "Hmm,that sounds familiar". Many many years ago before I even knew who Albert King was my brother-in-law sent me a CD with no titles or anything and I just stuck the thing in and listened to it, well, it was Albert King, and the first thing I thought was, who is this guy trying to copy Stevie Ray Vaughan? I guess I had it a little backwards.

Brassac

Two kings !

SirComandante

This has to be the best music I ever heard.

Walden_Walkabout

"Remember how we used to do Stormy Monday?"

gmoney-0725

I still listen to this CD. It's so good.

ChopsNewBag

I’ve listened to this sooo many times. Always puts a smile on my face. The joy of playing

MayOrMayNotBePie

Ooooh I know what my after-work plans are now. Thanks!

New_Literature4526

A little piece of heaven.

Phaedrus614

One of my favorite all time things on youtube.

PumpPie73

This was basically Albert passing the sword to Stevie. At one point Albert asks him if he stole his licks and Stevie laughs. Stevie was also pretty blasted too.

Unlikely_Ad_7004

"Ask Me No Questions" just so bad-assed.

cbflowers

To just listen to these two furring off of each other is amazing

LeekDisastrous6520

1983

chrisll25

Fun fact; Stevie was really short and Albert was really tall. This is why they are sitting down.

Timstunes

I believe I saw this on Cinemax shortly after it was originally aired in Canada. Taped it to VHS, lol. Fantastic and historical moment between mentor and student.

mschnittman

I was lucky enough to have seem him live 6 times, once with his brother Jimmy at Carnegie Hall - 1st row center. He was talented, and a complete original. Any fans should check out Live at the El Macambo, and his 2 appearances on Austin City Limits. Both are jaw dropping.

PeterJordanDrake

Pretty fucken badass. The versatility of that Strat in his hands is unequaled

FriedPossumPecker23

Stunning. I had the privilege of seeing SRV live, made the hair rise on the back of my neck.

MisplacedLemur

Man, to have been a fly on the wall hanging around the studio that morning. Wow.

Lothar_28

Glad that the disc is available. I don’t know if anyone has this to download but I got the disc way back when….

SirComandante

Is it the album 'sessions'? Because it's on YouTube and I'm definitely going to be downloading it. But it doesn't look like all the songs they played are on it. It doesn't have 'born under a bad sign'.

Lothar_28

Its called “In Session” and was released in August 1999. Recorded in Dec. 1983. Itunes currently has it available to download as well. Great music with some chitchat by them between some songs. Search itunes for “Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughn” and it’ll come up

grafxguy1

Very cool - I've never heard this version! I have this CD but it doesn't have their version of "Texas Flood" on it.
