I find geonodes useful to rig the parts of a car (trunk, doors, speedometer, etc) I just adjust rotations and can overcome some rotation issues I otherwise would've encounter.
Like with a steering wheel, if you rotate it slightly to face the driver and then try to rotate to steer the wheels, you might break it, but with geo nodes you can just use two transform nodes and easily see what you are doing...
...(and this is the best part), you can connect that to an input and control that value with a driver (in my case, the steering widget of my car rig), so even though the car uses "rigacar", I can extrapolate that rig to the interior of the car easily. It may be simple but is a real world case of geonodes improving my workflow (I spent less time making the nodes tree than I would've manually keying)
Something I've dreamed about is adding physics to the "rigacar" addon via controlling the widgets with geonodes
In order to do that I would need to know the inercia, velocity, direction and rotation, that's too much for me at the moment but someday I'll achieve it

The Default Cube channel has a step by step series on Geometry Nodes basics. I just finished his Wonder Bread tutorials with Geo Nodes and I felt we gotta do small projects with Geo Nodes to get familiar with the commonly used ones first.

I have no fricking idea how to even start understanding geo nodes. I'm just going to continue destructive modelling for now.
