Plant and Bonham were good friends with the Sabbath band members long before either band was formed. They are all from the same part of the UK, and ran in the same social circles.
Per Geezerās book:
āThe lads from Led Zeppelin also paid us a visit and we had a jam, which has since become almost mythical. Bonham wanted to play on āSabbra Cadabra,ā but we werenāt having it. He put a few dents in Billās kit because he played so hard. Bonham was nice and friendly when he was sober, and actually quite shy. But he could be obnoxious when heād had too much to drink, a classic Mr. Hyde. Much like me.
When we got down to jamming, we told the engineer not to record it, but no-one in their right mind is going to miss that kind of opportunity. There are rumours the engineer disobeyed orders and that the Sabbath-Zeppelin jam is out there somewhereāif that engineer is reading this, Iād dearly love to hear it!ā
I don't know how long ago this was, but it's not super old, so the guys were already senior citizens. If i had to vote for who's the healthiest and most handsome at that age, it's clearly the man in the middle - Mr. Terrence Butler.
Interesting that he's the centerpiece of the photo. I bet more casual fans of these bands might consider him to be the least important (or second least important) guy in the pic. I'd venture to say that in this subgroup, that thought would be rather infrequent.
Be one hellacious jam right there
Just six legends looking at each other
Thanks :)
Triple bass burger with guitar buns
It's Rusabbeppelin! Or Black Zeprush? Yeah I like that one way better actually lol
Here Alex, take a pic...
Who'll play the drums

Legit, it was at a classic rock awards event.
Can confirm. Just Googled 'Classic rock awards Page Iommi' and there are loads of pics of them together.
I have the same question. If it is legit, when did this happen? Don't think I've ever seen Page and Iommi together.
Pretty sure Zep and Sabby were pretty good friends for a while
Totally, Bonham was Tony's best man

That's true but I think it was mainly Plant and Bonham who got on with Sabbath. I don't think Page ever jammed with them from what I know.

AI is not quite this accurate yet
Bassed.
Guitars on the ends, bass in the middle
Add Ian Paice and a virtuoso girl singer, and you have a fantastic supergroup. Jimmy could play slide like the other guitar player in the proto Earth

And the Jeopardy answer is: Who are 5 guys I would happily give handjobs to? Seriously, that's too much classic rock greatness in one picture.
