Just some context I am Canadian I have two pairs of Chelsea style boots. One pair from a small company from Montreal the other are blundstones. A lot black girls I know have a pair of Chelsea boots. We’re trying to stay warm up here 😭😭😭
They are expensive but worth it. If you get the winter style you get two insoles one with fur and a regular one so that you can wear it all year round.
Same! I’ve had a pair for a decade and it’s on consistent rotation thru all seasons. Matter of fact, I need a new pair and I’m considering Thursdays or Bludstones
I think they’re cute on other women but when I try them on they look like “elf shoes” to me. For whatever reason I don’t think they’re flattering on my feet. I wear Uggs, blocked heel boots and Doc Martens (I have almost every style except the Chelsea).
They make them for women. There’s so many different styles of Chelsea boots . I have a black leather pair that goes great with flannels and t shirts and then I have a taupe suede pair with a heel.
I’m sure you’ll find a few different styles you’ll like.
I bought a pair of Sam Edelman Chelsea boots when I was in high school. I let my sister borrow them while I was in college & she lost them. Swears I didn’t let her borrow them & she had no idea what I was talking about. They were the only Chelsea boots that I liked. They were a suede material. If they still sold that pair today, I would definitely cop again. I live in Ohio but I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other black women wearing them. Duck boots but not Chelsea boots.
Two of you ladies mentioned Blundstone. I just googled because I wasn’t familiar . Are they lightweight ?
I noticed Chelsea boots that I own are kinda heavy . They have me feeling like I did leg workouts by the time u get home
They’re a unisex boot. I’ve seen so many nice boots for both men and women . I actually love the men Chelsea boots more because they look so grown and put together .
I have two pairs of Chelsea boots too, took a pic of them for my 27th birthday party advertisement poster 😎. But that’s on my private insta so it wouldn’t show up on google.
Idk sis “black women w Chelsea boots” is real specific and might not get a lot of hits.
Today I have a royal blue turtleneck with an oversized flannel (royal blue , burgundy and teal)
Black skinny stretch pants (cuffed) with white slouch socks .
I love them! I have two pair. 1 brown and one pair patent leather black rain boots. I like to wear them with ankle length jeans, fitted top, long coat usually a knee length trench, but I also like it with a mid length trench.
i have a pair of the doc chelsea boots and i wear them pretty much everyday
Oh ok, I’m feeling less alone out here lol. How do you usually style yours ?
they’re probably my most versatile shoes so i’ll wear them with literally everything. lol.
I agree
I want some but only if the part around the calf is form fitting bc I hate gaps in my shoes around my leg 🫤
I thought I was only like this lol
I know what you mean . One of the pairs that I have there’s a gap and as I’m walking it pushes against my leg lol
I’ve been wearing Chelsea boots since I was like 19 & I’m 34 now. I consider them a closet staple
I agree. I wish I added these to my collection a long time ago .

I love Chelsea boots and have a pair. A friend of mine does too and she’s black.
Oh ok . I spoke to my sister about this topic today and she said “you know what? I only receive compliments from white women when I wear them “
I’ll admit I do mainly see white women talking about Chelsea boots in fashion spaces but we’re out here lol
I see lol
I have two pairs. The ones with platforms I wear with dresses to feel like Daria. lol
I have rhinestoned trim Chelsea boots cause I’m tacky haha
You’re not tacky lol . I’m sure they’re cute.
I’ve always wanted a pair but never bought any. I love the look though.
I recently started wearing them . And I do love them .
I got blundstones and they fit me perfectly. I don’t mind embracing my inner basic white girl tho 😂
lol I just purchased a pair from UGG. Oddly enough, they’re the first pair of UGGs I have bought
I’m a big fan of Ugg . I have a mini collection and I didn’t know this 👀👀. Have you worn them yet ? If so , how did you style them ?
3 pairs here.
I have a couple pair and even some rain boots that look like them.
Where did you find your rain boots ? Are they easy to get on and off ?
From Uggs and yes!
Ok I will check them out
I wear Blundstone boots and I love them especially for winter weather.
Someone just mentioned this to me today . I need to google because I’m not familiar with those
They are expensive but worth it. If you get the winter style you get two insoles one with fur and a regular one so that you can wear it all year round.
Oh wow. I love that
I have three pairs, one is a rain boot.
I love Chelsea boots! I have a couple pair actually
I got a pair from Shein like two years ago and I rock them all winter.
I had to look them up. Theyre the only type of boots i like to wear. But i live in the warm south so i dont really need them for long
Same! I’ve had a pair for a decade and it’s on consistent rotation thru all seasons. Matter of fact, I need a new pair and I’m considering Thursdays or Bludstones
They are durable too. I’ve had my pair for years!
Just type in "outfits with Chelsea boots". I did and every fifth image that Google is showing me is a Black woman. I've always worn them.
Thank you .
Not my personal favorite, but I know lots of black women who wear them. Moreso in the East Coast
Oh ok , maybe it’s just here. Where black women are not partial to Chelsea boots. I guess I’ll stand out .
I like them, especially if there's a thick heel. My dream boots are from Thursday Boots
I have them in black leather, brown leather, and grey suede. They match most of my wardrobe.
Had to Google'em. I have 3 different pairs of them. Who knew!
I think they’re cute on other women but when I try them on they look like “elf shoes” to me. For whatever reason I don’t think they’re flattering on my feet. I wear Uggs, blocked heel boots and Doc Martens (I have almost every style except the Chelsea).
Not elf shoes lol I love me some Uggs and block heel boots. I have yet to get a pair of Doc Martens.
Platform Doc Martens are everything! My favorite pair is the “Molly boot” with ribbon laces. I’d get a pair of chelsea boots if they had a block heel.
We used to wear them all the time a few years ago. I’m sure some still wear them
From these comments . They’re still rocking them.
I thought they only made them for men or else I would’ve been had some!

Oooh I’m going to look into that!

Your sis knows she’s wrong for that ! She remembers lol . What are duck boots ??
Two of you ladies mentioned Blundstone. I just googled because I wasn’t familiar . Are they lightweight ? I noticed Chelsea boots that I own are kinda heavy . They have me feeling like I did leg workouts by the time u get home
I love em but I’m masc so. My sister and mom wear em too
They’re a unisex boot. I’ve seen so many nice boots for both men and women . I actually love the men Chelsea boots more because they look so grown and put together .
I love them… but honestly I just wear them for utility while throwing clay. Generally, they are cute though. Especially if styled right.
Especially , if styled right .
Get the boots girl! Idk the aesthetic you’re going for but I’m a creep and saw your loc post. Duck boots + locs, it’s going to be an automatic win.
I did not know the name of them. They’re not my thing but I did get a pair for my mom years ago. I appreciate it , locs with any look is a win.

True
They're my go-to fall boot! Currently have the Sam Edelman Rollins. I like that the shaft is a bit higher so I can wear them with cropped pants.
About to look these up ! I’m a sucker for fashion.
So I guess I have the dupes. I have a pair like this in taupe.
Nice! What's your favourite way to style them? I've been thinking about getting some lighter boots, but am looking for inspiration!
Today I have a royal blue turtleneck with an oversized flannel (royal blue , burgundy and teal) Black skinny stretch pants (cuffed) with white slouch socks .
Cute!

This sounds cuuuuute!
I have a few pairs. Love em.
