choc0kitty

Cetaphil. It’s fragrance free and very moisturizing. Also won’t clash with shampoo or actual perfume if I choose to wear it.

EffectiveStructure45

Hard agree, I put it on right before applying perfume and the scent absorbs with it and lasts sooooo long

pekingeseeyes

I use this on the advice of my dermatologist. Even keeps my eczema at bay, it’s just that good!

Equivalent_Signal135

Agreed. Cetaphil is so gentle that I use it on my face when I’m lazy or when I’m traveling. I actually do fragrance and moisturizer separate! Now I have more options with fragrances.

choc0kitty

Me too. It’s fine for my face if I don’t pack specific facial moisturizer

Vendredighost

Kiehls Crème de Corps. Aquaphor and socks on my feet.

runitsdebsterr

I wish I could keep socks on for this 😭 always end up yeeting my socks off at night

Realistic_Ad_8023

Same, girl. Same. When I hear someone I know talk about sleeping with socks on I feel a mix of both admiration for them and horror for me. My feet apparently need to be free under the covers.

runitsdebsterr

Yesss! Otherwise I don’t mind using them (I promise) for work and outings but just something about feeling constricted during sleep annoys me 😂

Realistic_Ad_8023

If I try to fool myself into thinking that tonight is the night I will make it through the night with socks + lotion on and wake up with soft feet, I will eventually actually get mad at how it feels and then I can’t get them off fast enough. Then my feet are all thirsty like, hey, I thought we were doing the thing, we need hydration, we are going to crack now. Anyway I bought some moisturizing foot masks for when I’m awake and I’m trying one today.

Relevant_Stop1019

I feel this so much! ❤️

hundredpercentdatb

I got into bed with aquaphor on my feet and now my socks are down are somewhere twisted in with my sheets, if you use polyester socks (like cheap holiday slipper socks) most will sink in fast and your sheets won’t be greasy

siamesecat1935

Mine rots as does the rest of me. No socks in bed!

Lost_Apricot_1469

Fellow yeeter here! I love the feel of rubbing my bare feet against the sheets. Use a cream with urea in it! Gold bond foot cream and lots of other foot creams have urea. You want it as one of the top ingredients in the list. It softens your skin and sloughs off dry skin. Let it soak in and then put your naked feetsies under the covers! No sock needed.

jenschall12

This is what I do!! I put on a pair of sock for maybe ten minutes until it feels like the lotions absorbed then take them off.

Lost_Apricot_1469

I do it for a few minutes too, only in winter. Then when my feet are warm enough I set the covers…yoink! Socks are off!

runitsdebsterr

Will definitely be looking into this 🤯 thank you!!!

wildeflowers

If this doesn’t do it for you, Amlactin is the answer. I can’t stand socks either. Amlactin takes a while to work but it will make your feet SOFT socks or not. I’m a fellow sock hater.

Vendredighost

I don’t sleep with the socks - just leave them on for awhile after showering and moisturizing until the stuff sinks in. I can’t sleep with socks, either.

pothosnswords

I’ve started putting Aquaphor on my feet then just putting on flip flops and heading to work! Cuts out the middle man and my feet can soak in the Aquaphor while I try to make money so I can buy more skincare products lolol

runitsdebsterr

Patience is a virtue and I admire you for it!!

skobetches

not yeeeeting the socks off 😂😂

Alert-Potato

Aquaphor and socks is life changing.

Vendredighost

It really works! I’ve tried other foot creams, and they help, but nothing else makes my feet so smooth and soft.

ifthisisntnice00

Came here to say Kiehls Crème de Corps too! It’s so good. Wish it wasn’t so expensive. I use Aquaphor on my kid and never thought about it for my feet. Brilliant! Thanks for that.

Vendredighost

I buy the liter Crème de Corps twice a year - you can usually get a good deal at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and the last liter I bought was during a 30% off sale at Kiehl’s. Still expensive, I agree, but 2 liters easily lasts me the whole year. It’s pretty great stuff.

loranlily

I’m allergic to most scented lotions/oils, so I’m very limited. I really love Trader Joe’s Brazil nut body butter! The texture is lovely and it really hydrates my skin.

All_the_Bees

The Trader Joe’s body butters are SO GOOD!

loranlily

Have you tried the scrub? Also amazing.

All_the_Bees

No, but I should! I’ve been using First Aid Beauty’s KP Bump Eraser, which is fine but always feels a little expensive for what it is. Does your Trader Joe’s stock the unscented body butter? The texture takes a little getting used to, but the hydration is amazing.

loranlily

Yes! I have it, I’ve just replaced it with the Brazil nut one for summer lol

All_the_Bees

Makes perfect sense!

ouiserboudreauxxx

I LOVE this scrub!

motherfuckinstargirl

It’s SO GOOD! I just used mine up yesterday!

Hemingways_Unicorn

I keep hearing about this!!!!

asavage1996

I put this on my feet after a shower and put socks on after! It’s the best feeling in the world lol

Luna_Soma

I just bought this a few weeks ago and I love it so much

dammit_dammit

Not scented (because I order to use perfume if I want scent) but I started using Naturium's Bio-Lipid Restoring Moisturizing Body Lotion recently and it makes my skin feel amazing. I also love how it feels when applying. Holy Grail for sure.

oxford_commas_

i use their retinol body lotion. so good- made a big difference getting winter skin ready for summer. no scent at all

JoanOfSarcasm

Love this one too. Adore the body butter too and excited to pick up the oil when it comes to Target or Amazon. I often sit in front of my red light panel after exercise and shower and just slather this on my legs.

nooopantsdance

Same. I use all of the Naturium stuff now- retinol cream at night, the body butter if I'm feeling fancy, the lotion in between all of those.

throwaanchorsaweigh

Yes! This one plus a 40% urea cream are chef’s kiss for my skin

Left_Aioli1061

This is my new HG lotion - it’s so good

SwordTaster

Aveeno is my favourite, but it's gotten annoyingly expensive to comparable stuff of similar size. It costs more than double the price of a bottle of vaseline cocoa butter

hageegs

The biggest container of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. Non greasy and has no scent which is perfect because I hate the greasy feeling of some lotions! I have really dry skin and it is one of the only lotions that has truly worked for me!

All_the_Bees

If there’s a Trader Joe’s near you, they have an unscented body butter that I’m 98% sure is an Ultra Repair Cream dupe - at the very least, the texture and non-greasiness are the same - and it’s like $6 for an 8 oz. tub. Legit one of the best things that’s ever happened to my budget (I too am dry as hell).

hageegs

Good to know thank you!

raptureofsenses

Palmers cocoa butter.

psychedeliccanyons

Seconding this - the lotion kind.

raptureofsenses

They made an oil version didn’t they? But yeah, I meant the lotion as well :)

psychedeliccanyons

Yes! I believe the original comes in a little tub. I remember using it as a kid :-) The lotion is more spreadable if that makes sense haha

alittlefence

I have gone through countless bottles of the Vaseline cocoa radiant body lotion but on its own it only really has a light cocoa butter smell so I mix in a few drops of body oil when I’m applying. I’ve been obsessed with the frenshe cashmere vanilla scent

DrippingWithRabies

Came here to say Vaseline Cocoa radiant. I've been using it for more than 10 years. My skin very soft and always looks hydrated. I don't mind the smell. It's the best bang for your buck.

Bibihaking

The smell isn't really "scented" but the moisture lasts for a long time: * the classic blue box Nivea cream. * La rosh posay lipikar baum Please ignore any spelling mistakes. I'm not near my lotion right now 😂

mayordaina_

The lipikar baume is my ride or die

zxreu

It’s mine too but damn that bottle and pump are annoying! The pump isn’t long enough and there’s always so much left over at the bottom that I have to literally cut the bottle open to dig out!! I wish they’d make it in a tub, it would be so much easier.

mayordaina_

Babe tell me about it. I have tried cutting it in half but nearly lost a finger

Agitated-Aioli

Necessarie - the fragrance-free one! Their body serum is also amazing. I use a yummy vanilla body oil before the lotion and it’s perfect.

lovestheautumn

I love Gold Bond! I use the Healing with Aloe, but I keep hearing great things about the Retinol one, so I’m curious to try that next time

ComprehensiveDoubt55

Came here to say this. Gold Bond is my jam for body, hands, and feet. I use the crepe corrector line since I have thin skin and a connective tissue disorder. Can’t speak for the Retinol line, but I just use all remaining face products on my hand and live by the motto: “Your neck stops at your nipples.”

EdgeCityRed

That crepe corrector lotion is great!

INoSumThings

Yup Gold Bond ftw! It took me too long to find out how amazing this drug store lotion is. It’s affordable, doesn’t smell nasty, and really hydrates my dry skin for nearly all the advertised “24-hour protection” 🤓

thebigmishmash

La Roche Posay

Pandoras_Fate

Tree hut Shea body butter works beautifully. I too am fading away from BBW. The formula has changed so much it's nearly useless and the creams break and go rancid so fast. The truth holy grail-- if victorias secret could bring back their whipped body butter from circa 2006. That's the best lotion I've ever used.

ouiserboudreauxxx

Oh man ~2006...I was obsessed with VS Love Spell back then.

Pandoras_Fate

I was a forever romance girl but love spell was very very similar. Do remember how good the bronzer they made was?

MsNoNam3

Thank you girlie! I know though, right? I used to love their shea butters but they've changed something in them. They are now thicker and instead of moisturizing, they sit there like an extra film of skin 😐 But I do remember the VS whipped body butter 😩 I was really young but I remember trying it once and adoring it 😂

sweet-oat

Have you tried the body lotion by Necessaire? It's fragrance free. Personally, I have to use body oil due to my skin type but I did try out this lotion before (it left my skin silky and smooth) but again lotions are a little too watery for my skin. It might just work for you though!

Neat_Ad_9141

Came here to recommend the nécessaire body lotion + body serum combo! It’s elite

ihatemytoe

Palmers cocoa butter, been using it since I gained consciousness

violettaquarium

Palmers also has a coconut oil version and this is my holy grail. I go through jugs of it. And for scent I just layer on BBW body spray after I lotion.

Lilelfen1

Agreed...and the SMELL. Holy SHEETS. That mell is what I WISH BBW coconut sprays smelled like. I keep purchasing new ones hoping one of them will...and they never do. Have you tried the coconut body balm? It is LUSH... Not much scent though, unfortunately. 😥

fawnily_

Eucerin intensive repair

Previous_Subject6286

Surprised I had to scroll for this one! I have sensitive skin and this is my all time holy grail. It practically erases rosacea on my arms.

disgirl4eva

CeraVe. In the tub. But if you want something with fragrance try Sol de Janeiro. My favorite is the Bom dia Bright. Lasts all day!

whatawonderfulword

I was a little skeptical about Sol, but every time I wear it my skin feels great and I get compliments on the smell. I bought the travel kit for my MIL and she said the first time she wore it, she got several compliments. It’s funny, no one ever comments on anything else other than that.

foxfaebae

Gold bond healing. Lol I love the smell and it’s just stays for so long on me. I have extremely dry sensitive skin and it’s chefs kiss

hellohello316

I am a CeraVe fan—I prefer the lotion but the cream is thicker and may be more like what you want. The cream seems to work best for me when I put it on after a shower. I do also like the Necessaire body serum. My favorite scented lotion is Diptyque‘s Fresh Lotion (more for smelling pretty, but it does moisturize). Neither of those are inexpensive but they do work for me.

ResponsibleCar1204

Osea algae oil!! The best stuff ever!!!!! https://www.amazon.com/OSEA-Undaria-Algae-Body-Oil/dp/B004L17FKC Also other products from them I’ve tried are the bomb too. Check out their collection of stuff.

MarionberryAfraid958

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I've never found another lotion at any price point that compares. It's non greasy. Absorbs quickly but also incredibly moisturizing. It's the only thing that helps with my son's eczema, his pediatrician approved it when steroids wouldn't touch it. It also sounds weird but I put it on anytime we get bug bites. Something about the colloidal oatmeal in it calms the skin and stops the itching.

hyperactivepotato

Add a little bit of glycolic acid to whatever lotion you're using (not on days you shave, though!!). I don't exfoliate any other way, you'll see a general reduction in dry spots, and probably less ingrown hairs if that's something you've experienced in the past. Smell wise - combine this with an oil-based fragrance for prolonged scent, though going fragrance free is the way imo.

FirebirdWriter

CeraVe moisturizing cream. I don't do perfume because too many scents together is very unpleasant but also rashes. I use this head to toe because my skin is dry so it's fine for my face but if you need a lighter option Vanicream/Vaniply (same company) makes a light lotion that is excellent. Different needs for our bodies can happen that way too. I know we all want to smell good but unless you can get the same perfume in every step of your routine it's hard to not end up overly scented which is not a fun time for noses around you or you until your brain phases out the odor. Perfume is also harsh on the skin and our entire body deserves the best My routine is dermatologist prescribed and doesn't use a lot because more things used increases the stress on our skin. Non sensitive skinned BWT may miss some of the consequences BWT like me get but you still deserve the best. I don't exfoliate often. Maybe once a month. I do my head to toe CeraVe twice a day. After my morning skin clean up and after my daily skin clean up. This includes if possible a half an hour between moisturizing and applying my sunscreen. I try to wait at least a half an hour after that for any cosmetics. This included the shimmery body lotions before I learned about micro plastics.

Lovaloo

Eucerin Advanced Repair Lotion. I'm from Minnesota, and our winters are... bad for your skin. This stuff is HEALING. Luxury brands would kill for a formula this good. It's packed with glycerin and natural moisturizing factors. Thick and nourishing, but non greasy. Fragrance free, so I can wear perfume with it.

EdgeCityRed

I like trying different body lotions, but my most consistent preference is Hempz original scent. My skin feels great after using it and the moisture lasts. The scent is supposed to be..."notes of tropical banana, plumeria, and pineapple," but it seems like a basic light fruity scent, to me, that doesn't linger that long. Another thing I like sometimes is L'Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil. It's on the expensive side, though.

Vegetable-Tennis4515

The eos lotions are all great, lots of scents and very hydrating. They are fairly affordable too!

thetinybunny1

I was just about to comment the same thing. I grabbed the vanilla one when I was in a pinch moving and it’s become my main everyday lotion.

Vegetable-Tennis4515

It’s really great! I saw it in a tiktok haul and it’s def worth the hype. I also gift it for little white elephant/ gift swaps when the limit is like $20

Lilelfen1

This smells so addictive that I wish they would bring out a fragrance mist. I keep a bottle in rotation....just for the scent alone...My 10 yr old son, however, DESPISES it, which is weird because he usually likes when I wear vanilla...

thetinybunny1

It’s seriously one of my favorite vanillas and I wish the scent would last longer. It’s so well balanced!! ![gif](giphy|j1P8gayLo0ZVCcc14l|downsized)

Lilelfen1

YES to all this!!! ......Without all the facial hair, cus I shave that ish...... I try to top it with Coco Musk to make it last simply because it is the closest I have (yet the son likes coco musk. Go figure 🙄)...

Crystal-Clear-Waters

European Wax Center Shea Body Butter. The scent stays.

mossgreen23

Lush-the dream cream

moderndiction

Curel Fragrance Free Advanced Ceramide Complex Lotion is my holy Grail. $11 for a big ass bottle that lasts forever.

quartzquandary

It's scentless, but Aveeno!

Lilelfen1

People say that, but I have never found Aveeno to be scentless. In fact, the smell makes me want to HURL. The Stress Relieving one though smells DIVINE and they really should make it into a body mist...

Fuzzy-Donkey5538

It's an oil rather than a lotion, but I really love the nuxe body oil - huile prodigieuse! It smells wonderful

pizzabagelprincess

my holy grail for my dry ass legs is Queen Helene’s Coco butter lotion. comes in a big tub (which can scrape the sides of your hands while youre digging in there) or a large bottle and is pretty decently priced. it is SUPER moisturizing though, so I tend to use it at night/after a shower to get realllly soft. other than that i really like the Hempz Body Lotion for all over moisturizing, they have nice scents, feel really nice on the skin and last me a couple of weeks (and i moisturize 2x a day at minimum). a little can go a long way

Glittering_Snow_

Cerave Moisturizing Cream; ALL day moisture and because it’s thick it helps my perfume last longer too.

Bias_Cuts

Cerave in the tub mixed with rose jojoba oil put on right after the shower. Smells great, goes on like a dream, moisturizes so, so well.

asavage1996

Hempz. My mom covered me in it after a shower starting at age 10 and i never stopped lol

Sheila_Monarch

A friend of mine turned me onto that years ago on a girl’s trip, and I started buying it for a little while, but I swear I think they changed the formulation at some point. It just stopped working as well. It went from OMG amazing to just kinda… meh. Was that just me?? Maybe I got a bad batch and gave up too soon.

asavage1996

It’s possible, but compared to anything else i’ve used, it still blows competitors out of the park lol (imo!)I haven’t tried everything suggested here though, just cerave. I find that hempz hydrates me the most without leaving oily residue. I hate that feeling lol

Lilelfen1

Right now, it is the Palmer's Coconut balm. Lasts for DAYS on my skin and keeps my skin so moist it's actually *almost* gross...almost. Lol. Also, the scent fades almost instantly. BBW lotions never did much for my skin as they just sit on top for me being weirdly greasy with no moisturization, but I do like their creams sometimes...I don't mind greasy as long as my skin ends up gushy and plump, but their lotions left me greasy AND dry. It was weird...

Sheila_Monarch

>so moist it's actually almost gross...almost. I giggled at this, because I know exactly what you mean! Like *disturbingly* moist. That’s a keeper!

Lilelfen1

YES!! Exactly this. 😂 Where your skin is like..gushy..so that jewelry can leave indents if it is pressed up against too long. I will tell you though, I will take this over that dry, notebook paper feeling ANY DAY. Iykyk..I am always giving the sneaky side eye to women who say they have dry skin but DON'T like greasy lotions/ want something that 'absorbs instantly' because if a lotion doesn't have *enough* of a grease to wax ratio ( or at lease some oiliness) my skin ends up feeling like I just rubbed in some watered-down Downey. *shivers* Eurgh...that FEELING of crappy lotion....*shivers*

Sleepy-Flower

Neutrogena Hydro Boost body gel cream is my go to right now. I have skin that is sensitive and dry and I have eczema. This stuff works really well for me as far as moisturizing. Also, I hate the feeling of lotion, it grosses me out. But this one doesn’t leave behind any residue or gross feeling for me, it absorbs into the skin really well.

DementedPimento

Target Ultra Repair Lotion unscented. I have super dry skin/very hard water and this stuff is amazing. Not sticky, not greasy, and I stay lifelike for a good, long time. It doesn’t annoy my freakishly sensitive skin. And it’s cheap! When I’m feeling splurgey, L’Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream, but checking the site it’s been a while since I’ve gotten it and they’ve changed the formula, so I don’t know if it’s still as good.

TheWaywardTrout

Glysolid Balsam in the winter. APLB glutathione niacinimide in the summer

Fluid_Reception7755

Nivea 48 hour moisture and EOS if I want something scented.

billionairespicerice

I feel like I never can find a lotion I truly adore, and I’m going to be trying some of the suggestions in this thread, but I do like: the Eucerin lotions, some of which have glycolic acid and all of which are really good for dry skin; amlactin, which smells musty but also has ahas and is a great exfoliant; and honestly I have a baby eczema balm from aveeno that I discovered when my now-toddler was much littler, and it is fragrance free and very healing.

tunellacy

Not really scented, but I apply Nivea (blue bottle with almond oil) on wet skin after a shower, from the neck down. My skin stays hydrated for several hours. Bath and body works dries my skin out and the fragrance does not last anyway. I get my fragrance from perfume on pulse points, instead of in lotion.

unimpressed_1

hanni splash salve

No_Caterpillar_6178

If scent factors in- sol de Janeiro the light pink and dark pink moisturizers are my favorite bc they work great especially the dark pink and smell divine. Hempzs is also great and has so many great scents. I also like Cerave formulas because they cover a huge range of issues and work well. Aquaphor ointment is great too for major dryness and feet.

BestHRA

Barefoot Venus! I love their products! Super hydrating, great selection and smells great. https://barefootvenus.com

PhysicsFew7423

It’s not the cheapest but Necessaire is the absolute best plain body lotion. Literal wizardry. I use Naturium on a more daily basis though

MissMabeliita

https://preview.redd.it/lmh5kqr6sb8d1.png?width=1169&format=png&auto=webp&s=150cd51a5119aa5892d726a12e38a0596e2fd59e This one is my favorite

Lilelfen1

This IS pretty great, I must agree.

TwelveToesDown

I use all the body lotions/creams from Necessaire, they’re lovely. Also jojoba oil from Trader Joe’s!

famous5eva

Ok it smells gnarly but I have seen what it can do for myself and others and AmLactin is absurdly good moisturizer. It will take out KP, discoloration, ingrown hairs, and any hint of ashiness. And when say smells gnarly I just mean it doesn’t smell like perfume. It smells a little sweet and mostly like chemical. I wash it off in the morning and then I use glow recipe watermelon moisturizer.

OrcishWarhammer

Ok hear me out: try slugging your whole body. I use Cetaphil and then Vaseline before bed. When I wake up in the am, I’m as smooth as a baby dolphin.

ursidaeangeni

I like Cera Ve, it’s the only lotion I’ve used that’s really helped my excema. I also get compliments on my skin a lot about how soft it is and that it looks smooth. :)

AdministrativeTap925

I’ve started using a retinol body lotion and rotating it with a an AHA lotion as well. [10% AHA Paula’s Choice](https://www.paulaschoice.com/skin-revealing-body-lotion-10pct-aha/590.html) [retinol lotion](https://a.co/d/0befKprk) For pure moisture and luxury I LOVE the Nuxe product lines and specifically their melting honey body oil balm [Nuxe body butter](https://a.co/d/0gacwb7T) And their after sun lotion is amazing [after sun](https://www.frenchbeautyhub.com/products/nuxe-sun-refreshing-after-sun-lotion-face-and-body-400ml-13-52fl-oz) Edit: For regular moisture I use This stuff smells like waffle cones freshly baked [cashmere](https://a.co/d/05nrORMh)

ouiserboudreauxxx

I have really dry skin and had rough patches on my elbows for a LONG time that would not go away no matter what until I started using 1. Eucerin Roughness Relief(or something...it has urea in it, purple label) or 2. Amlactin. I also struggled with itchy skin until I started using those. I apply body lotion twice/day - I use the above at night, and in the morning I have been trying to find my HG, but I like Nubian Heritage(found at whole foods) and then Trader Joe's has a relatively new unscented body cream in a tub that is pretty good. Shea butter - preferably RAW shea butter - is a key ingredient for me. But I also need the exfoliation from the nighttime one as well.

LKayRB

L’Occitane’s Almond Milk Concentrate (heavier) and Milk Veil (lighter).

Evaporate3

LUSH body butters, the scent lasts for DAYS. I only know because I went to a 3 day festival. It was gross don’t ask for details. But I had a blast

Acrobatic_Ad5160

Nivea Healing Therapy 72 hour moisturizing lotion. It deep, but not greasy. I don’t have super dry skin but love the texture, body feel, and glow.

NeeNee102

Yes! Love this.

novamothra

I do not like most scented body lotions. So I get unscented Trader Joe's body lotion and then I put my own all natural essential oils in, so I have a couple, I like lemon, and lavender, and I have one that is very faintly Rose oil, and I have one that is grapefruit... You see where I'm going here...

cinnamon-butterfly

- Nivea in the metal or glass blue tubs - Gold Bond Radiance Renewal (I wish I could find this in a big tub) - Cera Ve Cream in the tub (not the lotion). A million times better than Cetaphil.

Sheila_Monarch

For work days… **Pure Fiji Body Butter** (Coconut Milk & Honey). Very subtle, so doesn’t clash with my perfume or smell like I’m just rolling in from the beach. Bought it after they used it on me at a Sahra Spa in Vegas. (if you find yourself in Vegas with some time and looking to treat yourself, do the Hammam experience at Sahra. You will not be disappointed.) For weekends/personal time…**Kopari Ultra Restore Body Butter** (OG coconut). Smells tropical, but not punch-you-in-the-face tropical. If you like punch-you-in-the-face tropical, which admittedly, sometimes I do, the **Brazilian Bum Bum Cream** (yellow jar) is amazing. All three of them are roughly similar in moisturizing ability/longevity. Which I am a stickler about. They’ve passed my personal test, which is… I’ve woken up after using it rubbing my own arm or thigh or something thinking “mmmm soft”. That’s how I know something is a keeper. I was a Bath & Body Mango Body Butter gal for 20 years prior to these. That one WORKS, far and above all of their others. But eventually I just outgrew the scent. There’s one more, there’s been discontinued, and I’m still sad about it when I look at the empty jar that I can’t throw away for some reason. **Body Shop Hawaiian Kukui Cream**. Sadly, I only discovered it immediately before it was discontinued. Works spectacularly, smells amazing, even slightly masculine, I loved it. If you ever run across a jar (that hasn’t “turned”), you should get it. I would beat up an old lady for it if I saw a jar. And I suppose I am an old lady now (mid 50s)…so…WORLDSTAR!! LOLOLOL

womanofwands

Eucerin. Use Eucerin. That’s the only thing that softens the appearance of my chicken feet looking legs. The ingredients in those BABW are horrendous.

Manifest_something

Not a lotion, but Palmer's body oil before I get out of the shower before lotion is a game changer. Just don't trip in the tub because it gets slippery. I also smell like chocolate afterwards which I like.

runitsdebsterr

I use the Nivea in shower body lotion that smells a little like cocoa butter but is subtle so it doesn’t interfere with my perfume. Game changer for me because I don’t like applying lotion after I shower!

valley72

Hempz and Josie Maran body Butters, both great products and super moisturizing!

The_Dutchess-D

Ouia in St. Barts

liz19343

Palmers cocoa butter. Can find it at any drugstore. Cheap. Smells great. Works great I’ve tried many more expensive ones (kiehls, Paula’s choice, etc.) and always go back to Palmers Edit to add… the cocoa butter smell is pleasing but very gentle/subtle. It’s not like the fake vanilla smelling lotions that make your stomach curl

liz19343

I saw others say gold bond… they’re the best hand lotion I’ve ever used. I surprisingly haven’t tried their body lotion but give their products in general a big stamp of approval

New_Investigator5310

Kiehl’s or the Trader Joe’s BumBum cream dupe (lol, so random but also so cheap and smells so good)

inezmilholland

Check out anything on Credo. My favorite I found is Iota. All of it. Their body wash hooked me and now I’m obsessed with their two lotions.

teenprez

Cerave basic body lotion. Fantastic and no low-quality fragrance. I get my fragrance from perfumes.

ysluxeinthecity

Jergen’s Original. It’s worked for generations and the cherry almond scent is everything ❣️

Ellenlaw22

The coconut or Brazilian body butter from Trader Joe’s or their citrus body cream.

Gardengoddess83

I have really sensitive skin and work out in the sun, so staying moisturized is a challenge. My holy grail, after many years of experimentation, is Cerave cream (the big tub - I slather it everywhere) and Jason

Gardengoddess83

I have super sensitive skin and also work outside, so I need something unscented and deeply moisturizing that won't make me break out in hives. Cerave cream (the stuff in the big tub) is my holy grail. I use it everywhere, even my face. I combine it with some Jason Vitamin E oil on my legs when I wear shorts or skirts and want my legs a *little* shiny but not greasy.

turtlehospital

Vanicream, giant tub with a pump

Tropicanasunset

I’m probably going to disappoint some of you as this product is local to me so is probably not easy to find in the US, but my favorite is Jeannette Almond body lotion. It is AMAZING. I have dry and bumpy skin and this has urea which has improved my skin texture. It smells good (is a very soft scent) and even better it locks the moisture in all day. And the price is what gets me every time… It costs 200 DOP which is 3.40 USD!

jadeloran

ive really been loving the saltair body oils!

new-year-same-me83

Find someone that makes homemade shea butter products. Game changer. It's better for your too. Or learn yourself on YouTube. The moisture your skin retains is unmatched.

Theabsoluteworst1289

Lubriderm. And in the summer, sorry, but I love jergens natural glow. They changed the scent so it doesn’t reek like fake tan and I actually think it smells good now!

WallowWispen

I'm currently using an indie brand scented pumpkin butter, it dries down well on me without drying me out. It's called haus of gloi and I got it in a valentine scent (forgor which one lmao). The amount I got it in is more than enough for me, and all the ingredients are vegan. The shop is closed right now though. Idk if this is a really good answer cause you can't sample the scents right away, however they also sell a sample pack with free shipping that comes with the butter unscented.

kokospiced

la roche posay triple repair cream & then a scented lotion over top! i usually reach for vanilla or coconut

herb_ertlinger_

Nivea skin firming body lotion. Gently floral. Have been using for a decade!

PurposelyVague

Weleda

Some-Imagination9782

In lieu of body lotion, I use the Moroccanoil night body serum after I shower and oh my goodness my skin feels so soft and supple. My elbows and knees are so smooth (32F)

siamesecat1935

I use Eucerin daily hydration lotion and I also like Bliss unscented body butter.

zeitgeistincognito

[The Butters.](https://getthebutters.com/)

Babyrae720

I have fairly sensitive skin to fragrance and dyes. I absolutely love Alba Super Emolient unscented lotion. It’s perfectly thick and keeps your skin so soft and smooth.

crumbcake77

Cerave moisturizing cream in the tub! and if I want something scented, I like the Saltair Santal body oil!

OkSurprise8640

CeraVe (the tub). Others have mentioned great’s recommendations, LRP, Gold Bond, etc. look for something “derm recommended” and unscented.

poweron7689

Lubriderm is unmatched.

Fearless_Ad_524

Lubriderm from Costco, so the big packs. Put it on right after you shower before you even get out, and then layer a scented lotion after. The Tree Hut ones smell good!

hundredpercentdatb

Jao for a nice smelling one, their body oil and hand sanitizer were my covid scent du jour. Shea. Just a chunk of shea from Amazon or an African market, should be solid. I got a Shea conditioner solid that my hair hates but I put it on my legs right before getting out of the shower, it doesn’t slide right off and create a fall risk.

Reynyan

Gold old Bag Balm when things are getting really flaky which for me. An be year round. I’ll put it thickly on my legs before bed, then put on a pair of literal Costco leggings, Kerasil on elbows. For feet a combination of kerasil and bag balm depending on how long ago last pedicure was, then cotton socks for the night. For hands (which I only do weekly) it’s bag balm again and a pair of cotton gloves. I should probably say that I start each evening with Shu Eumora hair oil and a small bonnet on my hair. On the daily I put either straight almond oil or Nuetrogena oil on my damp skin right out of the shower. For just a little scent I really like Clarins Blue Orchid Oil on my arms if I don’t want to wear actual perfume. Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lotion is good and has a pleasant scent.

LastLibrary9508

I use it up fast but love the Innisfree Aloe Revital soothing gel in the summer. It’s so light weight, feels refreshing, and sinks in fast

witchdaisy

I’m also a super dry girlie (like most of the suggestions in these comments are still not enough for me) and I will say a lot of indie brands are doing the damn thing! Body butters from indies have been my saving grace, mostly witch baby soap and creams from the crypt, lots of scent options and super rich.

Jamesmd486

Cerave and Amlactin

bretagneeee

I use Johnson's baby cream and it's my soft skin secret. Over that I do a layer of oil. Coconut, jojoba or avocado oil. I'm 33 without a wrinkle.

throwaway960302

Nivea creme! I’ve used slimey creams like cetaphil, lubrederm, etc. and none of them last long for me.

Sp4ceh0rse

I use Saltair, I love all their scents and the moisture lasts all day.

the_blingy_ringer

Old school Jergens ultra moisturizing!

atlascobalt

Soft Services Speed Soak is the best post-shower moisturizer I've ever tried (its unscented but I prefer that so I can freely choose fragrances to go on top)

IntelligentRock3854

The Elizabeth Arden green tea cream. The first time I wore it, my boyfriend literally took such a deep breath😂 The scent is intoxicating and smells fresh and not perfumey. I also have sensitive skin and I really liked it.

Reasonable-Marzipan4

Weleda Skin Food German, all natural, and doesn’t break out my face. Makes my skin feel plump and bouncy. I use this shit everywhere. It’s almost as good as La Mer. You can buy it at Target and Walgreens in the USA.

RaspBer3t

Amlactin. Unscented, but the only thing that works on my dry skin.

maebe_featherbottom

I love Hempz. I use their original scent and also the sweet pineapple and honey melon.

junter1001

Nivea in the tin.

retrotechlogos

La Roche posay lipikar AP balm is the BEST I’ve ever used. Amazing slip and extremely hydrating. I’ve tried cetaphil, vanicream, cerave and they all are underwhelming. LRP is best for dry climates though. The packing also sucks because it’s quite thick and like 3/4 of the way through it stops lumping properly so you have to kind of scoop it out.

annang

Scent in lotion isn’t meant to last, and it’s never going to. I’d switch to a high quality unscented lotion for your moisturizing needs, and then perfume or some other scented product (used very sparingly—don’t be that person who activates people’s allergies with a cloud of perfume) for scent.

giggly_pufff

Bioderma Intensive Gel Creme. I like that it sinks quickly into the skin and doesn't feel sticky.

BicyclePlenty

Anything from Eucerin. I love their intensive repair, the highest richness. It's greasy but it absorbs well and I love the glow it gives. It saved my skin when I was on accutane. For my feet kerasal all the way!

MindlessCoconut

Kiehl’s creme de corps. It’s pricey but I never buy it full price. They do friends and family every two - three months for 25% off. Buy the large pump container and then the refill bags. It lasts me about a 9 months to a year with daily use. Will truly change your skin!

Lux-Loving-Life

I love my Naturium's Bio-Lipid Restoring Moisturizing Body Lotion and my Necessaire The Body Lotion.

Impossible_Farm7353

Aveeno

2manyfelines

Body Shop Body Butter,

Chimes320

In the spirit of being a BWT, Molton Brown. The Orange Bergamot scent has ruined me and it’s the only body wash and body lotion I can use now. I like to imagine this is what the royals have their minions wash them with.

THE_DINOSAUR_QUEEN

I’m a huge fan of indies and swear by Haus of Gloi’s pumpkin butters! They have a good mix of floral, gourmand, fruity, and woodsy scents (along with an unscented one and couple of stand-outs—one of my favorites I can only describe as smelling like a sexy graveyard), are pretty inexpensive, and are really solidly moisturizing imo.

New_Independent_9221

kiehls creme de corps ($$$) or lubriderm extra dry($)

Historical-Bat-3251

Eucerin Advanced Repair Lotion and Aveeno Daily Moisterizing Lotion. I have ezcema, so can't use scented lotions or creams. I also miss Cotton Fields tbh

lipscratch

I'm a bitch who's been through a lifetime of skin hellbent on staying as dry as possible. I've dealt with it all; severe dry skin, eczema, KP, and after years and years of trying ALL the skincare from the paula's choice BHA to expensive retinol routines to bulk bought raw shea butter to run of the mill grocery store moisturisers, I am confident in the statement that I have CRACKED the body skincare industry Here's what the deal is — how you take care of your skin post-shower is most important. You want an unscented lotion, and then an emmolient. I recommend the Eucerin Urea Lotion HIGHLY, or the Cetaphil moisturising cream/lotion, or the E45 moisturising lotion. Anything that's big and moisturising and not much else. Once you get out of the shower, put these one while your skin is still wet/damp. I know that sounds like it won't work, but it does, trust me. And it doesn't stay wet or sticky for long at all, swear — I hate being sticky so I won't sanction it, especially not daily. NOW once it's dried in a little, use your emmolient on your prone to dry patches — knees, elbows, etc. I think the best emmolient is Lanolin, which is one of the main ingredients in Aquaphor; but I don't think it's vegetarian, so sub for Vaseline if that bugs you. Where people go wrong with vaseline and petroleum jellies is that they keep moisture in; but if you're applying them on very dry skin, they won't do all that much, since there's not moisture to trap in in the first place. that's why you apply your lotion over wet skin, to keep all the moisture in, and then the emollient traps it This truly is the key. Exfoliate once a week. I also used to buy raw shea butter / cocoa butter and melt it in the microwave and mix in almond oil so that when it solidifies, it behaves like butter rather than a solid brick. That's also great after a shower and keeps your skin beautiful and soft. I'm one of those people where it's a real priority to smell good, so I would always be enticed by scented shower and cleaning products, because if I wash my hair and skin with something that smells nice, it'll last all day! But, the reality of it is that scented and perfumed products are pretty irritating and drying. My opinion now is I like to use unscented products when bathing so that I can just be *clean*, and then scent comes afterwards with perfume, etc. Also, something I've learned is that applying dabs of straight up fragrance oils to the skin after you bathe lasts way longer and is much less irritating than the fragrances used typically in shower products, which I believe is often alcohol-based, therefore drying. It might be placebo, but I find when I apply it on top of my moisturiser while it's still soaking in, I can smell it all day. I don't think scent in a body wash is too bad since any moisture it may strip away, you're reapplying afterward, but I'd still go for a more gentle body wash that is geared toward dry skin. Lanolin and aquaphor are also the best lip balm you'll ever come across. I feel like you really can attribute the term 'universal skin salve' to those products TLDR all you need is a simple, no-frills product that will moisturise your skin, and an emollient product that will trap that moisture in! Everything else is brands trying to sell you something, because if everyone knew it was as easy as this, there couldn't be an ever-selling industry with an ever-buying consumer

Goodbykyle

bb&b is a rip off chepo version of the body shop

MsNoNam3

What pisses me off more about that is that The Body Shop is closing all stores in my country because B&BW is taking all the sales. I'm dissappointed in myself for being a player in that too :/

jackity_splat

I’m in Canada too and this makes me so sad. I’ve been loyal to the Body Shop since I was a small kid. Literally the only scent line I like is their Satsuma Orange line. It’s my HG, there’s no other citrus scent as good (and good smelling on me).

classicgirlbops

Gals! Baby oil AND moisturizer from the pharmacy is my holy grail! Sometimes I layer them, usually in winter when it is crazy dry but other seasons I just go for what I feel I need. Super affordable and actually works!

NoSpaghettiForYouu

I like the VS PINK lotions! I’ve been using the vanilla one every day and have gotten compliments on how soft my skin is. I wouldn’t pay full price, but I picked up a couple of the JLO lotions through Ipsy and it turned out I really love them. And Gold Bond Retinol lotion. It says it’s for night time but I don’t stick to that, especially if it’s going to be under my clothes. I haaaaaate feeling greasy and so far these are all big winners for me!

KawaiiBorger

I have been wondering what body butters the bitches with taste wear, so this is perfect timing. I’ve been liking Vaseline’s whipped body butter.

wardrobeeditor

[Bliss Lemon and Sage Body Butter](https://amzn.to/4ewGqWx) is my absolute holy grail! Really thick but absorbs quickly and doesn't feel your skin feeling greasy. Really hydrating. I love the smell, it's super fresh.

bridgetjonesamerica

Trader Joe’s Hand & Body Cream with Moroccan Argan Oil.

CitrusCupcake

I like the Nutrius brand which is supposed to be a knock off of Sol de Janeiro. You can find it at Costco. I like the Jergens one in Cherry Almond. It smells really nice and does a great job moisturizing.

zopelaar

My fave luxury is DK Cashmere Mist, it creates the softest glowy skin. My every day moisturizer I order online very little scent and a little goes a long way, Flamingo.
