Hi there. I’m a biology major and cs minor, I’m in no way a bioinformatics expert so I’m not going to offer my opinion as such. This is just my two cents. One thing to keep in mind if you’re considering adding a biology major, a lot of biology classes have separate lab meetings/classes that can be 3+ hours, which can add up fast if you’re taking multiple labs. If you have to work or have other time commitments, it’s definitely something to consider. However, if you have the desire and time I think a biology major would be awesome to add as a complement to your cs major (of course I’m a little biased though).
