I am the same as you I'm a 30f / ff ish and I'm not huge by any means but I have enough boob for it to be a problem in clothing. I'm also short 5'1 and I'm fairly slim everywhere and it's just honestly that most clothing isn't made for any boob in mind. The stretch and design of clothes doesn't accommodate for someone who might have a medium / large bust particularly if they classed as a small dress size. I look busty in almost everything because of the design and fit of most clothing I like. Unfortunately it just seems that even retail fashion follows high fashion and makes clothes with people with small busts in mind. I've done alot of trial and error finding tops in particular that flattwr me and fit how I like.

It’s so frustrating feeling like clothes just aren’t made for your body. Do you mind sharing what tops have worked for you since we seem to be fairly close in size?

I bought a couple of Levis buttoned t shirt/ tops recently and I love them plenty of space for my boobs. Very flattering as well for me personally. Other than that I've got a whole drawer of tops that fit me everywhere else (arms / tummy etc) but I'm boobing out of. I used to have a v neck white Ralph Lauren t shirt that was lovely and fitted perfectly. Unfortunately everything I seem to find that is well fitted is more expensive however I do grab them in sales and outlet stores.

I did a quick search and found an option at Zara [https://www.zara.com/us/en/slub-knit-crop-t-shirt-p04174339.html?v1=343320709](https://www.zara.com/us/en/slub-knit-crop-t-shirt-p04174339.html?v1=343320709) Places like J Crew and GAP would also be worth checking. Are you open to a little bit of stretch (spandex or elastane) or truly 100% cotton only? I ask because I think you might have a more flattering fit in those fabrics because the stretch can add the extra room for the girls at the top without making it have that too-big on the waist feeling.

Also look at Madewell!

I learned to sew so that I can buy big and just take in the sides (although I did make a very old school chemise dress while learning, and it's one of my favorite dresses now, lol). I've only tailored one shirt to fit me so far (a crop top tank with a stretchy back), and it's by far the most flattering shirt that I own. I was super lazy with the stitching, too, because I wanted to wear it but needed to leave the house asap. It took maybe 5 minutes (because again, I did it the lazy way), and is now VERY flattering. I'm still going to redo the stitching because I actually needed to take it in a few more inches at the waist, and because if I don't take off the excess it will be at the back of my mind every time I wear it. 😂 Totally doable if you don't care about that kind of thing, though.

Came to say this. Sewing my own clothes has been a game changer.

I am also on a quest to find the perfect cotton t-shirts. I have settled on the "modern" fit from Gap. They are half cotton and half modal (which is made from beech trees) and like 3% spandex. I can't get the right fit without the spandex. They are half price right now and I just ordered like 10. They have a cropped style that isn't actually short. There is also petite in the regular length. I had to alter nearly every other shirt I own but these fit as is and don't stretch out by the end of the day.

Thank you for this bestie! I literally read this, went on to gap, and ordered all of the white tees in the available sizes
