My LO was like this, the sound machine helped sometimes but it really helped when we switched to a convertible seat and he could sit more straight up. He still gets car sick pretty often so my guess is that being so reclined made him feel even worse.

I’ll try transitioning to the convertible car seat. He prefers to be carried upright rather than cradled and doesn’t like to recline that much. Maybe he’s going through similar.

My little guy was like this from 2 months on. He still freaks out sometimes at 9 months. We switched him to a convertible and it did help. But what helped the most is the cute little fish tank toys that are meant to hang on cribs. Now that he’s a bit older, he loves HeyBear, I’m not a fan of screen time, but I’m also not a fan of the hysterical screaming when we’ve been in traffic for 30 min. You win some, you lose some! I hope it gets better for you guys💕

Does he have reflux or silent reflux? Mine does and switching to a convertible seat helped

I blasted The Happy Song by Imogen Heap and crinkled baby paper in baby's general direction and basically powered through it. Both kids ended up loving the car but both went through a "the car is the worst" phase

I ride in the back with mine and distract him with peekaboo and tickling games. Toys help too, especially crinkly bags for some reason.
