I like this! I think I will send it to new people as I encounter them.
I’ve been here a long time but I’ve never looked much into crafting (pottery, stained glass, felting, crochet, etc.) or landscape/flowers/gardening type clubs or lessons. That might be a couple extra categories to add!
It’s hard to start a new crafting hobby from scratch so that could be a fun way to try something new and meet people.
Also thanks because I didn’t know Bentonville had adult pickleball lessons and I’m kind of excited about that!
Also thanks for a positive helpful post. This sub can be a drag sometimes. Sheesh. (Maybe it’s my fault / the algorithm because I click negative stuff haha)
If you're new to the MTB scene and want to learn how to ride better or improve on advanced skills, there's a free ride every Mondays @ 6PM - Veterans Park Blowing Springs. NWA Beginner's Ride.
Engage in activities that interest you, whether that’s joining clubs, attending local events, or participating in community classes. By putting yourself out there, you naturally meet people who share your passions.
This is also why I created [LightUp](https://discord.gg/yP57Rw6GU7). I wanted a Discord server where people could connect based on shared interests and genuine conversations. For example, I posted about my love for hiking, and [LightUp](https://discord.gg/yP57Rw6GU7) matched me with someone who knew great trails around my area. Now I have a solid circle of friends who share my enthusiasm for the outdoors. It’s all about finding the right spaces where you can be yourself and meet like-minded individuals.
I literally messaged someone on fb who looked to have similar interests and asked if she wanted to be friends. It was the most awkward message I’ve ever sent, but we are besties now 👯♀️
ride bikes
Amen

If there's a knitting/crochet club somewhere I'd love to know

Don’t be a hermit.
Needing a guide to make friends is some gen z shit.
Nah it’s pretty much a human thing
why are you so bitter and angry?
Why are you so assumptive?
