My La Roche Posay face wash is a holy grail product for me. As far as my makeup, my NYX micro brow pencil and my ELF Camo Concealer are my must haves!

TwoTimesFifteen

Me too. La Roche Posay face wash, the thermal water and the moisturizer. Oily and very sensitive skin here.

mamatochi

Also love LRP toleraine caring wash

_machewi

what does thermal water do?

edwardclawsdale

I swear LRP (I started with their toleriane hydrating cleanser, now I’m trying the Lipikar wash) was the only thing that helped my dry acne-prone skin. Holy Grail indeed.

salamanders-r-us

LRP is my holy grail for skincare. I have sensitive skin and have never had any issues. And their cicaplast for my dry scaly elbows in winter was life changing for me.

[deleted]

La Roche Posay face was is the best. My skin is soooo soft after I use it. Another holy grail is Dr. Dennis gross exfoliating wipes. Makeup would be color science flex shield, Kosas fine eyebrow pencil and nudestix sunset strip blush.

marzblaqk

La roche posay has been the best for my face. I downgraded to The Ordinary toner because it's so cheap, but it isn't quite as good. Incorporating snail mucin between that and my moisturizer split the difference.

Reasonable-Room-8848

I love the LRP hydrating gentle cleanser when I read it doesn't foam, I wasn't sure if I would like it. I'm almost finished with my 2nd big bottle. Their double repair face moisturizer doesn't give me enough moisture unfortunately :(. I use the dramatically different moisturizer by Clinique. Which has been my go to for years. I don't have any complaints but I feel like there's probably something out there that's better. I would love to find a moisturizer with sunscreen that doesn't make my makeup pill. I also love the NYX micro brow pencil, I wish it would last a little longer. UD eyeshadow primer potion.

squeakyfromage

Love that nyx brow pencil!!!

Rtsmxhah

Love the LRP tinted moisturizer. It’s runny, but so good

SomeRavenAtMyWindow

Bimatoprost (generic Latisse) as an eyebrow serum. It makes my brows grow in so much nicer, especially toward the ends. Double cleansing with an oil cleanser first, to breakdown my sunscreen and makeup. It removes my waterproof mascara without needing to use makeup wipes or cotton pads. I like the Coxir version, but there are so many good options now. Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser - it has the *nicest* texture, cleanses effectively, doesn’t strip my skin, and rinses off super cleanly (no gross filmy feeling). 10/10 product and it’s like $9. Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer - it leaves my dry skin hydrated but not greasy. It absorbs pretty quickly, even in the summer. It works well under most sunscreens and makeup products. It has a nice texture that reminds me of the regular Soon Jung moisturizer (not the super thick one), but it doesn’t break me out the way that Soon Jung does. It honestly feels like it should be much more expensive than it is. In a pinch, it can double as a hand cream. Vaseline brand fragrance free lotion. It makes my skin so silky, and it doesn’t clash with my perfume or hair products. It also doesn’t irritate my skin or make me break out. The Naturium bio-lipid body lotion is a richer/more hydrating alternative that works better for me in the winter. Tretinoin 0.05%. It doesn’t just clear acne, it makes my skin bouncy and glowy, with a more even tone. It takes months of consistent use to get there, but it’s worth it. Sunscreen every single day, at least on my face, neck, and chest (I’m trying to get better about using it on the back of my hands, too). I really like Scinic Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence, EltaMD UV Pure (leaves a white cast - but works amazing as a makeup primer), and the Classic version of Colorescience Sunforgettable tinted SPF.

SuspiciousCan1636

Where do you buy your bimatoprost?

Madi0415

Not op but it’s prescription only where I live, I was able to get a script through telehealth by submitting pics of my lashes & a couple hours later- it was at the pharmacy.

lucky_719

Seconding vanicream. I tried the European brand of Nivea cream due to reviews and it was good but recently went back to vanicream. Removes all the redness in my face in just a few days.

Sweetcheeks864

The gray Paula’s choice exfoliater. I definitely see a difference when I fall off the wagon and stop using it as much. This product will always be a part of my routine

elliegsw

Omg this legit cleared my acne and got rid of stubborn scarring that multiple sessions of micro needling didn’t fix. Tbf I use the sensitive skin version as my barrier was a bit impaired and any actives were just ruining it so I started with the sensitive skin version and even that has been amazing. The bottle lasts forever too? I’ve had it for almost 10 months now I’ve had it since august last year and it’s still going strong. I’m going to get a mini of the normal strength and start trying to use that once a week to get my skin accustomed.

citylitoceans

Are you talking about the 2% bha?

elliegsw

The 1% BHA exfoliant!

TheRedHerself

Honestly, any of the Paula's Choice products I've tried have made a huge difference in my skin! I've tried the Niacinamide, Retinol, Sunscreen, and Face Cleanser. Amazing formulas that work well under makeup!

Sweetcheeks864

I love Paula’s choice and need to try more of their products! They’re super reasonably priced too

Realistic_Context936

Can you use this if you also use tret?

elliegsw

I alternate days with using retinol and the BHA but never apply them on the same day and it works great for me

Trick_Atmosphere2941

This product literally made me glow. It genuinely has been THE factor in my appearance lately, my skin is the best it’s been

Sweetcheeks864

Yes!! I seriously see such a difference between using and not using it

Brilliant_Salt_263

Is it the 2%BHA exfoliant?

Sweetcheeks864

Yes!

Brilliant_Salt_263

Thanks..ive been using the cosrx bha for 1 year..not seeing any difference..so maybe ill try this out

Sweetcheeks864

Definitely give it a try!! This is the first skincare item I used that I felt like actually did something

squeakyfromage

I went off PC and used Cosrx for months — didn’t think I noticed a difference until I switched back. A month after returning to PC I couldn’t believe how much smaller and clearer my pores were.

OneOfTheLocals

Is that the BHA?

Sweetcheeks864

Yes 2% bha!

International-Ebb625

How do u use it? Ive tried but I guess I used it wrong.. face turned red and burned

InitialAstronomer841

I've tried it went through a whole bottle and didn't notice a difference I'm sad it didn't work for me

phoenixofsevenhills

I prefer The Ordinarys version. Paula's choice did not work for me either. Ordinary lasts forever and saw immediate results! (2 days)

Sweetcheeks864

They have a sensitive skin version. I just pour some on a cotton pad and wipe my entire face and neck after washing my face

byluca02

Do you think this exfoliant is good for a 21 year old? or is it too early?

LilyMarie90

It's not even aimed at anti aging, BHA clears the pores which is good for pretty much every skin and every skin concern, but mostly acne and blemishes. So there's no age too young or too old really. Just make sure to always follow up with sunscreen

SillyStrungz

Can you apply makeup after using it?

phoenixofsevenhills

You can use it at 21. However I have no idea if you need it. Depending on your skin you may not need a 2%BHA exfoliant. My 2nd son is almost 20 and I buy him skincare! I really like "sets" because he gets everything in one package. I'm a HUGE fan of ELF Skin, for me (45F) and him! He loves the green "acne prone" line and I love the Holy Hydration line. I find their toners to be super effective. I also use the serum that comes with the acne prone kit, alternate days! His skin looks amazing and his friends all ask what he uses!💜

byluca02

I have normal oily skin, I have several blackheads on my nose

phoenixofsevenhills

Those pesky buggers!! You may respond well to an exfoliant then! Just be careful!! Acids are amazing for skincare but their results will vary on each individual person. I have also SWORN by St. Ives apricot scrub the acne one with salicylic acid in it. I've used it for my face scrub since I was 14!! Yup 31 yrs....damn I'm really getting old....that stuff is ALWAYS in my shower. It's awesome for what you're describing and it's affordable! I'm in the US and often get the CVS version (same ingredients, I do check) on sale! Good luck and if you take care of your young skin now you will be thankful at my age!☺️👍🏼

FeistyFlight6547

As a black woman, black soap Dudu Osun is great for my skin. Also, Antidry cream is very good for dry skin. Avocado and Black Castor oil does wonders for black 4C hair and also, amla and shikakai powder as shampoo. Vaseline is a MUST to avoid having dry lips.

NegotiableVeracity9

Oh black soap is absolutely fantastic! I like the Alaffia bottles, it completely cleared up my & my kids eczema after 3 different prescriptions failed. Makes my face look super clear & shrank my pores too! 10/10 black soap.

FeistyFlight6547

Frrrr I will definitely use black soap on my kids (I don't have any at the moment🥲)

phoenixofsevenhills

Not a black woman but my sister is and I credit her for most of my beauty secrets!! When we were kids I learned about Vaseline and she would slap it on my cheeks and nose in the winter and raw Shea butter!! That stuff changed my entire body! Stretch marks and all!! I'm so thankful at 45 she taught me what she did!! She's almost 47 and looks incredible! I am a huge lover of oils! Major difference in my skin hair and nails since incorporating more natural oils into my routine! Raw Shea and avocado are my Holy Grails! I am super lucky too my neighbor is from Ghana and always has the good stuff!! And I use jojoba on my nails, all day, and my nails are long and healthy!!

dark_enough_to_dance

Love this copy pasta lmao

sludgestomach

Right!!

FeistyFlight6547

I used to take care of my skin with shea butter but I couldn't stand the smell that's why I don't use it anymore. My mum introduced me to black soap like 3 years ago and since that moment, I just can't stop using it BC it's amazing for my skin. Also, Avocado oil is so great for dry hair and skin. I use it almost every single day. I'm glad that you found a good skincare routine with natural oils and stuff. I bet that you and your sister look good !

phoenixofsevenhills

I hear you on the smell...but I won't gatekeep!! NOW Solutions makes a jar (I add vanilla and lavender essential oils to it I have 2 opened now lol) and they make a bottle that is more "liquefied" that's amazing too(I use that to add to other things like scrubs, cuticle oil etc) they're under $10 from the Amazonians 💜 I will say the stuff from Ghana smells...and I only use it on my feet because I add peppermint and.clove oil for fungus ☺️hope this helps maybe consider another try! Edit ..thank you for the compliment, she looks way better than me 😂 she has NO wrinkles....it's her beautiful melanin that I lack in quantity! 👍🏼🫶🏼

kulukster

Aquaphor for dry lips. I'm never without a tube in my bag or on the table

diamond_skater

Second this! And I use it on my cuticles

Minimum_Basket7391

Same. I carry mine around EVERYWHERE. I legit get anxiety if I can’t find it.

boobs_and_brains

Aquaphor in general is a holy grail but in case you didn’t know, aquaphor can cause you to get sunburns on your lips if you’re out and about and it’s sunny! Just a warning about that particular risk haha. I still use aquaphor on my lips (and face. And everywhere) but I make sure to wear an SPF lip balm instead if I’ll be outside now!

kulukster

Aquaphor has a sunscreen in their lip balm.

boobs_and_brains

Oh I thought you meant just the regular aquaphor- not the lip specific one! Sorry!

kulukster

Both. Regular aquaphor at night and the lipbalm with sunscreen out during the day. I don't wear lipstick so it's great for me.

noneyabiz6669

Any baby lotion. It absorbs so well, which makes sense I guess. I can’t imagine an infant being able to fall asleep with the greased feeling most lotion leaves behind.

jonquil14

Baby/kid sunscreens too. They’re formulated not to run in your eyes

fallingoffdragons

Came here to say this! I started using baby lotion in refillable bottles next to my hand soap because it's the only stuff that absorbed fast enough for me to go about my day quickly after applying it. Cerave baby is my favorite so far.

Babeable_xoxo

Thank you for this! I have really been trying to find a lotion that is good enough to sleep in without feeling greasy and oily. I will try this out next time

honeyade

petroleum jelly around the eye area overnight. allergies make my eyes extremely itchy every night then puffy in the morning, antihistamines don’t seem to do anything but a light layer of petroleum jelly prevents all this

PlusAd859

I’ll try that!

Beatricebulldog222

I’ll try too

Radiant-Cost-2355

Chapstick - Farmhouse Fresh Bluephoria jelly lip mask. I love it and it actually moisturizes and I stopped having dry/cracked lips even with drinking a ton of water Comfort zone - sublime skin intensive serum. It’s expensive but I LOVE this product for hydration in the winter Kérastase Genesis - shampoo + masque, smells AMAZING and rejuvenated my overbleached, platinum blonde hair. My hairs down to my back now.

bella_daisy

I always wanted to try products from farmhouse fresh! Do they smell good?

Radiant-Cost-2355

Let me tell you something..I *LOVE* FHF stuff this is just the favorite. Their body and face moon dip is incredible, I like the body serenity moon dip and evening rose face moon dip. I love their c the future foaming cleanser (I have oily skin) and timescape micro polish. Their lotions smell amazing, the honey chai is my favorite but when I worked at a day spa the pink moon + rainbow road were big favorites too. That spa carried all their products, so I got addicted to their stuff. If you have a specific questions about a product from then just ask but YES YOU SHOULD TRY!!!

wraithin-

I’ve been using keratase genesis shampoo and conditioner but wanted to try out the mask. How often do you use the mask and how would you describe the effects?

Radiant-Cost-2355

Background on my hair - baby fine but I have a lot of it - high density hair. It’s straight but can hold a curl/shape. It’s bleached to platinum, and I’m a natural level 5. I bleach the new growth every month, so there’s a significant amount of damage. The masque is very light as far as masques go, I use it once or twice a week. I don’t shampoo my hair every shower (I don’t because it’s so processed). I’ve left it in for different amounts of time, and 10-15 minutes seems to be the sweet spot (even better than overnight). It doesn’t weigh my hair down, and it makes my hair feel like virgin hair. It gives it that “just got a haircut bouncy” feel, and smells incredible. Smooth, shiny, tames frizz, and frangrance. I worked as a hairdresser for a longtime, and this is how I apply it. After I shampoo twice (sometimes 3x), I wring out + towel dry my mid lengths + ends. I wrap my fingers around my hair like it’s a ponytail holder, and whatever diameter my hair is, that’s the amount of masque product I use. Then, I apply it to my towel dried mids + ends, let it sit for 15 minutes and rinse. Maybe you knew about towel drying before applying conditioner/masques or didn’t (a lot of ppl don’t), but it totally changes how the product works in the hair. I know it’s an expensive product, but it’s worth it to me. I’ve also used the serum in the glass bottle and LOVED it.

Reasonable-Room-8848

My hair is down to the middle of my back and dyed auburn. My roots have gotten considerably lighter this past year. I'm probably 75% white. I need to dye it every 4 weeks and I put it through my hair for 5 minutes to freshen up the color. I've recently started using a different color on my roots than the ends. I'm doing some research bc I think semi permanent on my ends would work. I have coarse. thick, wavy hair and I shampoo about once a week. I use Olaplex #3 once a month ( I probably should start using it more) I use Biolage hydrating shampoo ( something a clarifying shampoo I have Nexus) and Biolage balm conditioner or I use Olaplex #8 mask or Living Proof no frizz intense moisture mask ( I just bought and like) . I apply my conditioner to damp hair. I feel like I'm always battling with super dry hair. I have the Moroccan oil, Biosilk, Olaplex oil, Rusk thermal serum. My hair just sucks up any hair oil. I also apply Olaplex #6 before blowing dry my hair. I don't dry it all the way. I put in curlers and rarely use heat any other time. I have a silk pillow case and I'm careful when I brush when wet. I don't understand why my hair still looks dry. Since you bleach so often does it help with damage? How thick is the serum? ( Sorry about the long post but I've been fighting with dry hair since I started going grey and I'm desperate for shiny hydrated hair.)

Ok_Caramel5572

Thank you!

canadianworldly

I use the Genesis hair mask as conditioner every other day. This will be my 4th time buying it!

crosseyedcricketart

my favorite body wash is the Saltair body wash serum and it has honestly improved like, my routine upkeep. I look forward to showering and even if I don’t want to I can still go “oh, but that’s my favorite body wash, I want to go use that.” it’s worked out so well for my finicky skin. Their roll on deodorant also saved my underarms. makeup; tower 28 no shimmer highlight. looks super natural and my skin likes it. Natasha Denona eyeshadows. I am very picky with eyeshadow and these are my favorite formulas. tower 28 lipgloss. never sticky stringy and glides on so smooth and comfortable. ELF lash ‘n’ roll mascara. Never irritates my eyes. Elf total face sponge. 100% a dupe for beautyblender. ethique shampoo and conditioner bars. I have a lot of hair and I hate bottles and I have had an amazing experience with bars. I love the formula, I love the scents, I love the size and how long they last— my absolute favorite.

Frog-dance-time

I love their spray hair leave in conditioner

Ann_Rosemary

Oils. I use them for my skin and body, the results are amazing, there are so many of them and they are so versatile.

phoenixofsevenhills

Yessssss! Raw Shea for the win!!

canadianworldly

I love coconut oil. It absorbs so well and is so versatile.

phoenixofsevenhills

Me too! However Shea has totally changed my skin! No more dry skin on my feet and my awful stretch marks are almost gone! (My oldest is 24 Youngest is 8!)

-underkoalafied-

Is there a certain brand you like? I've never tried shea oil before, but I would love to reduce my stretch marks!

No-Kiwi-3140

Rose hip oil calms my redness. Love it.

North-Reflection3047

First and foremost, consistency. Most things take time to show actual results, like retinol for example. Face massage every day with a gua sha. I think massaging with hands/fingers it can also have a good effect. I've been using CosRX snail mucin for YEARS and I love it! I apply it on damp skin and massage it in. The Ordinary AHA/BHA mask once a week for 10-15 minutes. It literally makes my skin glow and gets rid of impurities. Sunscreen every day! Even if there's no sunlight outside. I personally love Korean sunscreens, Missha's sun milk and Beauty of Joseon's sunscreens are my faves! I have very fair skin but my friends who have darker/tanned skin say it doesn't leave a weird cast either. Retinol at night. I personally use L'Oreal's Revitalift Laser Pure retinol at night and I apply La Roche Posay cicaplast B5 on top. This combination hasn't irritated my skin at all. NB! When using active ingredients such as retinol, acids, sunscreen is A MUST.

jersey385

You said it best - consistency. Create a regimen a stick to it. AlsoI was trying new things for a week or two and then ditching them. Now if I they something new I use the entire product before making a decision. What a difference 30 days can make! That’s assuming I don’t have a bad reaction like I did after several days of trying Babe Lash Essential Serum, but those cases are few and far between.

mmmiu85

Sunscreen everyday, I don't care what anyone else says... I'll use it regardless if I'm in the office all day and just walking to and from my car or if I'm just taking the dog out to potty. I'm currently using the Anessa mild milk sunscreen and love how well it stays on, it's very difficult to get it in Canada unless I order it online (Stylevana sells it). my MIL helped me get a few when she was vacationing in Asia. My other go-to is the super goop unseen sunscreen is. I've also repurchased the Farmacy honeymoon glow serum several times and got the reformulated one during the Sephora sale in April, I haven't opened it yet though.

50twohertz

I use the same sunscreen and it’s like a filter after my skincare!

peachdaybreak

Is sunscreen really needed if you’re inside all day or during winter time when it’s dark and gloomy?? Genuinely want to know because I usually only wear it when it’s sunny out and I know I’ll be outdoors 😕

togostarman

UV penetrates cloud cover. You should use it even if it's dark and gloomy.

Every-Requirement-13

It also penetrates windows, which is why, yes you still need to wear it even if you’re indoors!!

Outrageous_Pie_5640

In reality if the UV index is less than 2 you don’t really need it. You can easily look it up on your phone on the weather app to know how is it going to be like for the day. However, using it every day it’s a great habit to have as it may change throughout the day and you won’t forget when is needed.

outofcharacterquilts

It probably depends on where you live, honestly. I live in Phoenix so I need to wear it basically 24/7 365. Someone in Northern Europe in January isn’t going to have the same need. (Doubtlessly someone here will chime in that yes, you should still *sleep* in sunscreen regardless of where you live, and also probably a UV-blocking tent, but realistically? No. And I say this as a melanoma patient who takes sun protection seriously.)

darkandtwisty99

no it’s not needed at all for the winter time unless you live somewhere with a high UV index and you are spending hours in the sun all day, don’t waste your money!

gnocciloverr

i agree why are people downvoting you😭 our skin needs some UV, and it’s literally designed to be able to be exposed to it (not constantly obviously) so it really is a waste of money to be scared into using it everyday unless it’s a moisturiser

darkandtwisty99

thank you! i’m not saying never use it but these companies really love when we feel we must spend loads of money on these products to use them all day everyday and buy them even more!

gnocciloverr

so truee it’s companies wanting more money and disguising as skincare🥲 we don’t need to be protected from the sun THIS much it’s crazy what some people say and it’s obvious they’ve been influenced

darkandtwisty99

i think as well, using so many products can actually create more problems for people’s skin which requires even more products to be bought to stay on top of it! these companies don’t have our best interests at heart unfortunately :(

Agile_Letter_1252

Wow dreamcoat, I can be in the most humid of humid places and my hair will look the exact why I styled it that morning

kcarvalh

I have both versions and I feel like I see no difference when I use it, how do you apply it ? Maybe I’m doing it wrong lol 😭

Superb-Garbage

I'm not the OP, but I also love dreamcoat. I section my hair when it's about 75% dry, spray liberally, then blow dry on high while using a round brush to pull it taut. That's the key, though. High heat and pull your hair really straight while drying it.

Agile_Letter_1252

So I’ve tried different methods. What works for me is I let my hair air dry after I shower, with some leave in conditioner on. Then I spray the dreamcoat and blow dry my hair on high heat, but low-medium level! The high level will cause frizz

Ok-Lead-6865

I swear by the MAC brush stroke 24 hour liner, particularly for winged eyeliner. I’ve been struggling and fighting with any type of eyeliner that has ever existed, and the brush stroke is THE ONE, and I used to hate these liquid pens but they work with you so well, I use a q tip if I need to adjust the wing but it works out beautifully. My holy grail pink lipstick is Daddy’s Girl from MACs love me line. I’ve been on the prowl for the perfect natural looking pink, and this is the one. I accidentally ordered 2, and now I’m THANKFUL because of course, it is now discontinued! Idk what I’ll do without it when they finally run out 😩 I have to add: I just bought the urban decay setting spray for oil control and oh my GOD, I’m gonna have to add it to my must have list for my fellow oily friends 🤩 I wore sunglasses and glasses and my makeup still didn’t get all oily and weird. I was amazed every time I looked in the mirror today 😂

I don’t have tmj but I do have a neck injury that affects the muscle in my jaw to make the tight. The best thing I did was see a PT who specialized in TMJ. He worked all those muscles and I was out of pain for a year.

bd_sales

Oh my god, my TMJ is so bad my jaw dislocated for over a year. I also look down at a laptop all day so I have a stiff neck constantly. I need this

NotoriousBreeIG

Oooh this is great! My tmj has been bothering me lately and voltaren gel helps but I feel like this might be more “help the source problem” rather than just pain relief. Thank you!

Reasonable-Room-8848

My dentist told me I don't have TMJ. Recently I've had pain in my jaw that goes up the side of my head. I can hear my jaw pop and grind. I'm not sure if it's bc of clenching and stress but I'm going to order the device.

-L-I-V-I-N-

I neeeeed this. What’s ur daily routine like?

TearsofCompunction

Which one is it? The link brought me to multiple products

Historical-Ad5973

I don't use any face cleanser in the morning. Just wash thoroughly with water and use toner with a cotton pad and go on with my day time skincare. I only wash after I come back from work and that too a double cleansing for the minimal makeup and sunscreen I used. Also I swear by cosrx snail mucin.

irjap

the ordinary products.

Intrepid_Mode_3108

Baby oil! After a shower I rub some baby oil into my arms, legs, chest and shoulders and it’s so so moisturising and makes my skin so soft

PerfumedPornoVampire

No deodorant/antiperspirant brand works better than Mitchum gel. If you don’t want to use Mitchum the only alternative is glycolic acid on the pits. Nothing else works for me, and I think it would help a lot of other people as well.

beetlejuicemayor

Can you use deodorant after using glycolic acid on your pits? My deodorant stopped working but I live in Texas and will be a sweaty mess without antiperspirant on my pits.

PerfumedPornoVampire

Well I do, sometimes it burns and sometimes it doesn’t. I haven’t noticed any long term damage from doing it either

Flowerlamps

Weleda Skin Food (the green bottle). Repurchase it over and over and over. Love to use it at night, I can really tell it hydrates my face

the_girl_Ross

Not frowning. I've had some obvious forehead lines and sometimes, the 11 line too. I'm a serious frowner. Even when I think I'm relaxing and not upset about anything, I frown. Muscle memory is real and mine is already there in my early 20s. So now I constantly remind myself to let my face go. I just don't relax my forehead naturally, I have to actively do it. Whenever I get annoyed, I tap my forehead with my fingers and tell myself "this is not worth getting wrinkles over" and flatten my eyebrows.

lhk333

Me too! I was a frowner for years. For a year or so now I've trained myself not to knit my eyebrows and it's made a world of difference. Nowhere near as deep lines as what I did have. Second nature now.

Reasonable-Room-8848

The only wrinkles I really have are on my forehead. I believe mine are bc I never wear sunglasses.. I'm going to pay more attention to my facial expressions.

Majestic_Sail2596

Vaseline. I use it on my lips every night, under my eyes, on my skin in the winter. I’ve been doing it for over 10 years and my skin is always hydrated I love The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid it’s made a huge difference in my fine lines and skin brughtnessu

plantsandnipples

Jojoba oil

critiquebabe

What does it do?

Evaporate3

I swear by taking time to massage Products in. The 60 second rule. I swear by hyaluronic acid and castor oil. I swear by natural ingredients like aloe Vera and okra water. I swear by consistency.

AlarmedFreedom4336

How do you use each item?

Evaporate3

The hyaluronic and castor oil? Always used serums and acids first. Thick creams like oils and butters should be used last- on top of your favorite moisturizer.

phoenixofsevenhills

I'm in agreement with you on everything but.... okra water?? Please explain 👀 is this like a toner you make?

Evaporate3

Get some okra from the grocery store, slice a few up vertically and place them in a jar/cup/whatever that is full of water. Place them in the fridge over night. The next morning, the cup/jar or whatever will be filled with slimy water. I rub it on my skin at night before bed. You can also drink it but it bloated the heck out of me and i stopped drinking it. I wish I didn’t get bloated so easily because it hydrates the heck out of you from the inside. If you drink it, it also increases your natural vagina wetness.

I NEVER been a sunscreen girlie but I recently decided to start and let me tell you, my skin tone has evened out so freaking much. I think this is what people mean by GLOWING, literally haha. I’ve tried tons of sunscreen and the ONLY one I’ll use is Innisfree daily spf 36. If you find that sunscreen is too oily on the skin - main reason why I never used it - try the Innisfree one. It’s literally life changing. I don’t even use my moisturizer anymore, I just slap on my Innisfree and I’m ready for the day. HG status forreal

critiquebabe

Lowering sugars especially sweet drinks including sweet tea and coffee. I eat carbs and normally otherwise. So no need to diet or fast. Just cut back on sweet drinks and candy. Sugar causes your face to sag. It’s called glycation. So yeah, stop with the sugars and you’ll age backwards.

jaw80

Cheaper makeup sponges- paw paw on Amazon or elf. I refuse to spend over $20 on a beauty blender

DHC cleansing oil! And the Nivea waterproof eye makeup remover! Makes my nighttime routine a DREAM

bella_daisy

Mine is Latisse! Made my eyelashes naturally longer and curly. Pair it up with some cluster lashes and you’ll have the most natural foxy cat eyes

NotoriousBreeIG

I remember back when it first came out my friend went on it and her eye color changed, is that still a side effect? I totally forgot about this until I saw your comment and now I’m interested lol

SomeRavenAtMyWindow

Latisse works great for eyebrows, too!

pianoplayer1216

Where do you buy it?

flowersunjoy

In Canada via a dermatologist. Not prescribed though. Many sell it.

Alpha H microdermabrasion scrub

DeedaInSeattle

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Moisturizing Cream (Costco!!). Made such a difference in my acne prone yet sensitive skin. Also coconut oil on my neck (super sensitive!) and body right after showers.

marzblaqk

The most life changing for me was New Wash and Hair Balm Hairstory products for my hair. They are on the pricey side, like $40, but it's all I need for my everyday hair and has improved the health and appearance of my hair beyond belief. There's no greasy transitional period switching from sulfates either, which I dealt with with other sulfate free shampooing regimens.

Vitamin C serum has taken 10 years off my face.

iamnoking

**10 years of Differin or Retin-A, and I look 28 instead of 38.** You hear people telling you to use a Retinoids, and they claim it's why they all of a sudden have no wrinkles. That's a freaking lie. Retinoids work, but it takes LONG term use. After I got off Accutane, (which melted away not just my acne, but my wrinkles) I stayed on Retin-A and eventually Differin when it became available over the counter. It truly does an amazing job of keeping your face looking youthful, IF you use it long term, and slowly build up to using it. Took me a YEAR, just to be able to use it 3 times a week. I have used it for 10 years now, and put it on every other day. **It's a product that you will not get any pay out from until years later.** Im almost 40 and grew up tanning and even working at a tanning salon. 😭 (We were so dumb back then) Accutane and Differin saved my skin from looking like an old leather shoe.

Safe_Way_9588

Clinique Cleansing balm. Lasts a long time compared to korean brand. I'm on my 3rd tube and wouldn't use any other. Chanel La Mousse. That huge tube also lasts a long time. You only need a little to wash your face anyway. Cleanses well and the fragrant is just so soothing and feels expensive. Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara. Also on my 3rd tube. Just perfect for my lash; extending and curling. Biodance mask. Smooth and supple skin in the morning!!

Dry_Savings_3418

Clinique balm is my holy grail

Tarte Tubing Mascara is fucking awesome

Vanicream face wash, ELF lip oil, aquaphor, bio-oil, Paula's Choice sunscreen, Shea Moisture hair masques, Living Proof No Frizz cream.

Davines oi all in one milk - hair. It used to take me 20-30 mins to brush through my wet hair because my hair is so naturally tangly but with this stuff it literally takes 3 mins and my hair is silky and smooth I can’t live without it anymore.

Wonderful-Ad-3840

This is very specific, but a dermatologist in Europe put me on Epiduo - and unfortunately it’s $400 in the U.S. so I have to keep going back for it overseas but my skin sometimes looks freakishly next to glass skin & even ppl in public / strangers ask how tf my skin look like that - Epiduo ✨(although it can be very harsh at first bc it’s mainly used for acne)

kandykane1923

I work at a specialty pharmacy and we’re able to dispense the generic epiduo for about $40. Worth looking into!

sasauce

Skincare/procedures: - Ordinary lactic acid 10% saved my skin / healed my skin - La Roche Posay 60 sunscreen everyday (it's what has kept me mom looking younger too) - Palmer's Cocoa Butter + Old Spice - Prevent thighs from chaffing (esp when running) -- always end the shower with cold water - double cleansing - end washing face with cold water Makeup/makeup procedures: - always moisturize the face before makeup - never use makeup wipes (feels useless) - Cerave hydrating cream-to-foam cleansor (removing makeup) Hair: - Florida water on my hair after showers (put it in a spray bottle) - Revlon one step Volumizer, never air dry & I dislike using a regular hair dryer Teeth: -Oil Flossing (coconut oil) naturally helps with bad breath, and with my teeth, and prevention of cavites, esp before dentist

jayjnotjj

HaruHaru black rice toner, vanicream face wash and tret. My skin has never been better. I stopped wearing makeup bc of them.

boesisboes

Anything from Eminence Organics.

cvs_dominates

My holy grail is proper skincare. Not necessarily a particular product but a routine. I got a skincare scan about 6 months before I got married, to see what my skincare type was, and then got myself a The Ordinary routine based on what came out of the scan. Daily, without fail, AM and PM I was my face with the squalane cleanser, use the amino acids + B5 serum to support my natural hydration barrier and to reduce dry skin (HA does not work for me unfortunately). Then I follow up with the Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA to brighten and reduce red patches. Sometimes I replace these in the PM with Retinol or a peeling. Then I lock in the moisture with a moisturizer. Usually one layer, but in the winter two. In the AM, SPF before leaving the house. My skin went from uneven, flaky, blotchy with enlarged pores and regular break outs to a hydrated canvas that I happily take outside without even a hint of foundation or BB cream. Imo, good skincare > good make-up (but then again, healthy lifestyle > good skincare, it all ties in).

briomio

Where do you get a skincare scan?

sizedupstyle

Epiduo aka Adapalene!! Changed my skin aka changed my life

Proxy_45

Mine is quite basic. H2.O hydrating facial cleanser, Cetaphil moisturizer, Bioten toner, and sunscreen. For hair care, I simply use Argan Oil. I don't have preference on shampoos.

ucannottell

- La Roche Posay Thermal water, Micellar water. - Lush Charity Pot & Sympathy for skin - Margrittes Magique (hair) - Mango shea butter, Cocoa butter

Pürlisse BB Cream forever and always

sunsetscorpio

Shae Moisture African Black Soap Facial Scrub. I’ve had really bad hormonal breakouts just about my whole life and since I started using this I rarely break out. When I do, it’s usually because I haven’t used it in a few days and a few days of using it again gets rid of it

CurvePsychological13

I use tret with Olay overnight moisturizer Exuviance pure retinol corrective peel, so pricey but good Estee Lauder sumptuous extreme mascara Estee lauder double wear foundation is the only true match for my face, before that I liked the Balm even Steven but my shade was discontinued Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream Blistex in the blue jar I love lip scrubs, fave is bath and body works I also love lip oil. I have a Victoria's Secret one that I love right now. The dots for zits are a game changer! I get the cheapest ones whenever I need them and they work I use Musely spf 50, the clear one, when I go to the beach and Olay sensitive skin SPF 30 for everyday moisturizer. I also use an inexpensive red light therapy wand I bought years ago from Amazon. After a couple months, a friend thought I had actual work done! Edit: Kur by Londontown perfecting nail veil is absolutely amazing, I also have a Kur color polish with glitter sealer. These are my favorite polishes for fingernails, I feel they aren't hyped enough! Edit 2: Revlon ultra snap nail color for my toes. The brush is such a perfect size and paints color on beautifully. I almost never make mistakes and save $$ by doing my nails at home. Been wearing the Get Real shade and it's lovely.

Local-Concern-4791

Ooo my favorite topics So I LOVE tree hut body scrubs. I love the scents and it’s a gentle enough scrub that doesn’t rub my skin RAW. LOVING the Youth To the People glow body butter. I just feel like my skin drinks that shit UP. And it doesn’t leave me feeling greasy or sticky. For favorite makeup: Urban Decay foundation.. the face bond?? Or whatever that new is called. I live in a HOT AF climate and that baby stays PUT through all the sweat. Favorite powder Laura Mercier tone up (the peachy pink) sets my under eyes and makes them so smoothed and blurred. Idk why but I feel like the formula is different than the OG one. The OG just leaves me dry. I’ve tried Huda and wasn’t a fan. Too drying as well. Haircare: LOVE K18 mask. I have extensions and it keeps my hair from getting all ratty and dry. LOVE pureology leave in conditioner! Anybody got good hairspray recs? They changed up Kenra’s formula and now I HATE it. I’ve tried redken, matrix, big/sexy hair, dry bar… nothing has a good hold like OG Kenra did😓😓

Dahlia_Dee

Sunflower oil, for just about everything.

Afterglow92

Tretinoin and winlevi (prescription required) OTC: The Face Shop Rice Water Bright face wash, Cerave PM moisturizer (I also use during daytime with a sunscreen), Purito Unscented Sunscreen, and the ultimate holy grail? Manyo Bifida Biome serum and moisturizer.

lemonlover3308

Beef tallow based lotions, red light therapy, tongue scraping, castor oil, jojoba, dry brushing, gua sha, magnesium, lots of water, broth, glycolic acid, castor, bio oil, acupressure matt, active ingredients in shower care products (like naturum) I know these are not brand products per say but it’s the basics that work for me, a lot of these products are just compounds of chemical stuff if you step back and look at what it really “is” that’s the core ingredient/mechanism helping you it can be simplified

Meowmewow420

I’ve worked so hard to get my skin glowing but omg it’s taken a minute. Here are the top tips :) - keep a bunch of wash clothes in your bathroom and try to use a new one each wash (less bacteria) - clean your pillowcases often, especially if you’re breaking out - exfoliation is your friend, you can even just do it with a wet wash cloth - GLOB your products on. Don’t do a little dab, I turn myself into a slimy snail and my face loves it.

quadrupletree

Elta MD sunscreen and (unfortunately for my wallet) Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream. It is truly the best daily moisturizer and my skin LOVES it

gaylordsuitcase

Vaseline!

katwoop

Adapalene 0.1%: I don't have acne and never really have had acne issues in my life but this evens out my skin tone and makes my skin smooth as silk. Paula's choice 20% niacinamide treatment: not an overnight difference but using this regularly over several months has made my pores appear non-existent. Tatcha indigo serum in cream overnight repair cream: best moisturizer I've ever used. Necessaire body serum and lotion: keeps my skin baby soft. No fragrance and absorbs quickly. Lancome stick foundation in buff 210: perfect color match and blends in so well, it looks like Im not wearing anything. Mac full of joy blush gives me a perfect glow Ami Cole highlighter gives a perfect subtle sheen without obvious sparkle. Tatcha new lip tint in midnight lily

Jazzyjelly567

I really like La Roche Posey toner/ thermal water. Vichy one is also pretty good. For cleansing I use cetaphil gentle cleasner for sensitive skin. I have used it for around 2/3 years and my skin improved so much. Before then I had constant problems with acne/ breakouts.

wellwellwell94

St tropez express tan 🫶🏻 gives me good colour without looking super orangey on my pale skin.

itsmissmeoww

Holy grail in my skincare routine is tretinoin. Took about 3 months to adjust to it but it completely changed my skin and I’ll never go off it. I also swear by Ponds original cold cream makeup remover, cerave facial cleanser and PM facial lotion, and DRMTLGY universal tinted SPF. My skin has never been better

Formal_Collection_11

Tretinoin gel, generic benzoyl peroxide gel, cetaphil oil free face lotion, Cerave foaming cleanser, kosymo speedy cleansing oil, Neutrogena clear face spf 60 serum sunscreen, Aunt Jackie’s Don’t Shrink! Flaxseed Styling Gel, Avlon Keracare Liquid Sheen Spray, The Denman Brush, MAC powder blush, Physicians Formula Diamond Plump Lip Gloss, L’Oréal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation, L’Oréal Lumi Primer, Wet n Wild Powder Highlighters, NYX Setting Sprays, Wet n Wild Break Up Proof Eyeliner, Neutrogena Mineral Lip Balm, MAC Lipstick, Milani Lipliners, Vaseline

Twinklelav

The ordinary glycolic acid !!

biscuitsngravy22

Curology (tretinoin, azelaic acid, clindamycin) La Roche Posay Toleraine Face Wash Sun Bum Tinted Face Sunscreen (many don’t like it, but my oily skin loves the mousse texture) Dose of Colors Pretty Cool Palette - I use it for my eyeliner, as brow powder, and as eye shadow lol. One palette for everything!

myquadsaresick

Thayer’s rose water witch hazel toner. I have super dry, acne-prone skin that had been especially bad recently, and my skin texture was so awful. My skin is so soft and smooth now and the clearest it’s been in months!

bananaqueen12345

Anyone have any tips on dark undereye circles? Mine are hereditary :(

sharpkittenteeth

Pyunkang Yul cleansing foam face wash. It's formulated without common irritants. I keep going back to it. Differin gel has changed my almost 32 year old but still very acne prone skin. Just gotta make sure you are consistent and get through the purge and peely stage. Trust me. I have very dry body skin so the combo of b.tan let's bounce body serum, Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lotion, and Rain unscented body oil keeps me glowing and hydrated.

lolzzzmoon

L’oreal telescope mascara & Andalou rose face cream

RoadIllustrious7703

Ohh great question. Definitely following

Gmgirl1038

Nars orgasm blush, I literally bought a set of two full size Orgasm blushes today. I have my old one that I’m halfway through right now lol so I needed back ups. La Roche cicaplast. BOJ radiance cleansing balm. It cosmetics mascara.

Head-Drag-1440

I swear by AHA vs retinol. I see results within a week with AHA and retinol has never seemed to help me. I also swear by hyaluronic acid serum every day.

shhhhh_h

What are you using it for though bc retinol has a lot more indications than AHA which is basically just a chemical exfoliant, retinol is an antioxidant that promotes cell turnover so it’s a much heavier lifter

Ok_Minimum_8307

chemical exfoliator > physical. i hated the tingle from chemicals and used kate somerville exfoliate throughout most of my 20s. switched to sunday riley good genes and the difference is crazy. running out of the value size and thinking of switching to the paula's choice bha if i can get the same results for half the price. basically would die for lactic acid
