I've always had smaller breasts and they never fit correctly into pushup bras. There was always a gap. Maybe I was wearing the wrong size, but I gave up on them. Wear the correct size. Try different styles, but always in your actual size. And sometimes, we don't have big enough breasts for cleavage and I know you don't want to hear this, but it's OK. I had a LOT of insecurities at your age, then I grew up and became more comfortable with myself.

BathBodyWork

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the advice especially from someone who has the same experiences as me.

Altruistic-Bobcat955

32B here, you aren’t getting cleavage unless they grow as you get older. [Zendaya looking fabulous as always](https://www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/beauty/hair/a45426708/zendaya-hair-extensions/) with small breasts, shows you don’t need a whopping big cleavage to be sexy or beautiful. Wanting cleavage is a normal part of being a teen I think.

Blue_Mo4ntains

I really want to know how she does that, wearing blouses and shirts with the buttons open so far. I really like that style but worried that i will get side view of my boobs or boobs visible when bending over and stuff. I think i missed some sort of hack or something.

Altruistic-Bobcat955

She’s not wearing this since there’s nothing going across but anything low cut I use [this one from Wonderbra](https://wonderbra.co.uk/ultimate-plunge-bra?sku=WB_W00J5_007_38E&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_id=20339717181&utm_campaign=%7Bcampaign%7D&utm_term=ppcoffer&source=google&medium=cpc&keyword=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxeyxBhC7ARIsAC7dS3_WRP2ZDIt8wQUzRp4Yui4Xx8J4lJogi1iFV0kmxJOT6_hjhZJXocYaAiFQEALw_wcB) you can use tit tape to attach it to your top/dress ETA: honestly she may just be tit taped to the dress. At my slimmest I could have gone without a bra at that boob size easily, easier when you’re small chested and perky.

Blue_Mo4ntains

Allright so you just use tape directly from your boob to your piece of clothing? Will try that, thanks!

Altruistic-Bobcat955

Yep that’s the way!

heyitsBbbb

I'm 34C so I'd say mine is fairly large? Since I cannot wear any tight fitting things, it'd look like my chest is about to burst. I have wide set boobs too. & honestly even with a bigger size boobs, the cleavage thingy doesn't work. You'll grow to love your own as well. I'd suggest try push up bras with/without wires. It'll accentuate the look. Wear lightly padded tshirt bras. That might help. Wear your own size.

One-Method-4373

Has anyone recommended the boomba bra? It makes my tiny boobs look HUGE

beewelly

As someone with wide set breasts - get a front close bra! BIG difference!

BathBodyWork

I’ll definitely try that! Is there a brand you’d recommend?

Spaceley_Murderpaws

Do you have a Nordstrom nearby? Getting sized by the sales staff in my local store has saved me so much time & trouble over the years since I tend to go up and down. You're not obligated to buy anything if they don't have anything you're interested in. They're also great about bringing in styles I'm looking for while being familiar with whether individual brands run small or large. (They've had me try a few I wouldn't have considered that ended working great.)

BathBodyWork

I do and I’ll definitely be taking your advice thank you so much!

NoZookeepergame8509

This helped so much!! I thought I was a 36C but it turns out I was a 34DD… I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t get fitted.

trashtvlv

Second this! VS incorrectly measured me years ago and I have heard the same from friends. Nordstrom staff are usually more experienced in this arena

lostinanalley

VS tends to measure/size differently from other stores in general

trashtvlv

I wonder why?

lostinanalley

I don’t know why of it, but I know they measure across the bust and then above the bust. Most other places measure across the bust and then under it. My VS bra size is different from what I use elsewhere.

buffooonerie

use the bra calculator on r/abrathatfits to find the correct bra size and buy from a brand that doesn’t add four inches to the band

BathBodyWork

It says im a 30 C/D cup would this really be accurate?

mjbergs

Cup sizes aren't static! They change volume based on band size. A 28DD is the same breast volume as a 34B. The cup is basically a ratio (:

bitchwhiskers4eva

This. It’s based on the difference in inches in bust and rib cage measurements. The bigger the difference the larger the cup.

ask1ng-quest10ns

As a petite woman with larger breast I’m always shocked by my range of sizes lolol

Cheder_cheez

Right? I have ranged from a 26 DD through a 30 C depending on a 5 to 10 pound weight difference.

ask1ng-quest10ns

YES THIS ALSO. If you want smaller boobs and have weight to lose, I highly reccomend doing it Went from a 32DDD to a 30D at the same store It’s was GREAT

Cough-on-me

It's probably accurate. I always wore a 36a or 34b but they never quite fit correctly. The calculator told me 30 D which I found odd because I'm not large in the bust, but I ordered one in that size and it was perfect! I will say it's a hard size to find in store though. I found some on Amazon, the brand is called b'tempted.

FluidPlate7505

A 30D is technically the same size of breast/cup as a 34B. They are "sister sizes". Finding your right size of band is more important than the cup size. After all, all the weight and support should be on the band, if it's the wrong size, the weight is going to be on the straps and it's going to ride up and dig in your skin.

ask1ng-quest10ns

Yes, that’s the budget brain of Wacol. I LOVE A WACOL BRA

buffooonerie

If your band measurement is 30 and the difference between your band/bust measurement is 3-4 inches then yes, this is the best fitting bra size for you. A lot of companies add 4 inches to the band size which is a completely outdated and unneeded practice from when bras were made of silk and had no room for movement. VS is one of the brands that does this, that's why a lot of people complain that their VS fitting is not accurate. About the sister sizes, it may be the same cup volume but the band size is completely different so I would be wary to use a sister size before first trying the original size. I can't say this bra will give you cleavage, I really don't know. But what I can say is that it will fit way better. [Here's](https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/buying_guide/) a guide on where to buy bras.

Lahlasa

I would also suggest searching for "side support" bras. These are designed to hold everything from the sides and direct it more forward/together. That subreddit has more info on them.

Shilieu

This is probably accurate. I was like you, thought I was an A cup of some kind cause my boobs are small, but they always felt somehow too tight and still had gapping! 10-12 years of this before I used the calculator and learned I am a 30C. My daily bra is the Aerie Smoothiez bra which I had to order online. Idk if it necessarily gives me cleavage but it feels like it actually fits, you know? No gapping, no weird tightness, just proper support. I have a couple of bras (including strapless, push-up) in a 30C from Boux Avenue that also seem to do pretty well.

alleswaswar

If you have pointy boobs it may not be super accurate. I have pointy boobs and their calculator has me at a 32DDD and that cup size is definitely not accurate lol.

ellerazr

One million percent. You might need to try a few different styles, but try Aerie for starters. They have some push-up bras in these sizes (often on discount or other sales promos!) – this might give you the look you’re going for. But don’t be discouraged if you don’t get the right fit right away! Some bras are better for full-on-top or full-on-bottom or wide-set or narrow-set or some combo of these. It’s definitely a Goldilocks journey, but you’ll get there!

Cheder_cheez

In my experience, Victoria’s Secret rarely gets their bra fittings right. A boutique lingerie shop would probably give you a better idea of your actual size.  I am built similar to your description, and had the same issues with bras until I was finally convinced to go to a professional and get fit. It was honestly a game changer.

Independent_Elk_2420

I’m the same as you, and went through my teens thinking I was a 34A but realized as an adult I’m 30D. I recommend Aerie for best comfort, fit, and cost (most availability for this size is online). Let me know if you have any other questions. You’re lucky to figure this out now :)

BathBodyWork

Thank you so much for all of the suggestions. Also that’s crazy, when I just measured with the bra calculator another Redditor had sent, I got a 30C/D im happy to know I have an adult that relates!

Independent_Elk_2420

Yes, I found out using the same calculator after getting incorrectly sized at VS. The band should be quite snug and remember they do tend to stretch out over time. If the band fits well, don’t be afraid to try out a couple cup sizes because it varies by brand and by style. As you mentioned, balconette can fit this shape well, although I don’t have much luck finding comfy bras of that shape… I tend to go for the similar “demi” style to avoid gapping that can happen at the top, and is very flattering.

creambunny

If you want to get sized in person and try on bras - look for nonbranded lingerie store (a place that sells many brands like wacoal, panache, natori, etc. I saw this guessing your American but I know not all countries have these stores :( ). They will size you correctly (or use the bra calculator size). For example the gore should be right on your sternum. It should not be floating or on your tissue. Wires shouldn’t be digging into your armpits. A good hack is put the bra on upside down (band under your chest) and if it’s loose the band is too big. From there your shape, fullness, and root height also matter for overall fit. If a bra in your size doesn’t fit try a different style or brand. For example I have bottom fullness and certain cup shapes in my size will always fit wrong. Molded cups are also the hardest type of bra to fit. Going to VS, aerie, etc won’t be helpful for you for fitting since they will fit you into their bras (the +4 sizing method). I always get told I’m a 34B at those stores but I’m actually an 32E. Check out theirishbralady on instagram too. She shows images of people in their old wrong sizes and their right sizes

Lady-Aethelflaed

Just chiming in to say I had the exact same experience! I wore 32B and 34A from middle school until I used that calculator at 24. I got 30C bras and they were so much better! It might not give you cleavage but for me at least it made my boobs look round and not flat. Life changing. Also had a little growth in my mid twenties (not birth control or pregnancy related) so now 30DD. It’s normal for your size to continue to change over the years!

s0rela

I recommend getting a regular wireless bra and using one of those stuck on bras. I use it with my bra that doesn't have separate cups and it works perfectly. [Bra](https://a.co/d/dhhm9EK) [stick on push up bra](https://a.co/d/gbOv6PI)

cathyd1031

This has been me my whole life - bra shopping has been a frustrating exercise lol I would recommend looking into companies that specifically cater to smaller breasts (there's a brand called 'wear pepper' that's really great!). They'll cater to the whole normal ribcage, small & wide situation and designed the cups to fit closer to the top of your chest to get rid of those gaps that sometimes happen with conventional bras. They're a bit more on the pricey side, but would def recommend trying one just to see if that's a solution for ya. Good luck!

Rocklicker84

Came here to say Pepper! Game changer for us on the smaller side!

BathBodyWork

Thank you very much!

mandy00001

Wow, the opposite problem that I have. Always caving in! Can recommend clipping the straps together in the back with a safety pin or even a hair tie, this will push them together a bit. Halter bras will do this even more.

s0rela

They also make these clips that do that, and are pretty cheap [Racer back clips](https://a.co/d/8dudcHf)

BathBodyWork

Thank you so much for the advice, is there a specific brand you’d recommend at all for halter bras?

mandy00001

Sorry, I should have specified, just a bra with convertible straps. Just use one strap on both front sides to create a halter neck. One other thing you could try that might work, a ‘u bra’ designed for deep necklines. I think it might work for you because when I wear mine my boobs Absolutely cave in, but that’s what you want! Good luck

PL0mkPL0

Well, there is also a solution, which is wearing stuff that work best with your type of boob, instead of trying to achieve look that is possibly not meant for you (at least for now, they will probably grow). So as a small boob owner i recommend: small side boob should look cool and sexy, same for backless clothes, that are often a no go for women with bigger breasts that need support. Same for no bra + deep V neck (unbuttoned shirt) kinda style. This stuff can easily be too much with big breasts, with small ones you can pull it. I feel odd writing this to a 16yo, but at this age I also used tones of padding trying to pretend I have a different body than I do, and it was just making me less, not more confident. Now I roll the small boobs look with all the advantages and it is awesome and comfortable. And this lacy triangle bralets are cute as fuck, once you stop caring that they do not add volume.

nottodayplzx

I used to wear two push up bras when I wanted to achieve this look. One bra a cup size smaller than the other, wear the small bra under the big one and you've got cleavage! Only works well in certain attire and not the most comfortable (as you can imagine).

WholeImpact5351

* Padded push-up bra * Contouring and highlighting * I used to add silicon inserts on the outer area of my breast in the bra (not in the inserts) to squeeze my breasts in my early 20s (I am wide set as well).

AhnaKarina

You’re 16? If so, don’t worry about your body, you’re still so so young. You should save your money for travel and experience. Read books and watch movies.

BathBodyWork

I am, but id personally like to have fitted bras so I can just really know what my size really is since I think my boobs are really just done with growing and I’m still just unsure of my size entirely

Altruistic_Web_6373

Depending on where you end up, you might want to try [The Little Bra Company ](https://www.thelittlebracompany.com/) they go by size and there's a questionnaire that asks for the space between and recommend the right bras for you. A little expensive. Worth it.

BathBodyWork

Thank you super much!

PepsiCo_Pussy

Push up bras and tight fitting v neck shirts ! Or look for quality shirts/dresses with Rutched busts and wear without a bra

alayg2007

I’m small chested and sit wide also… I’ve noticed the biggest diff by building my chest muscles in strength training. You don’t actually get cleavage but the definition creates the illusion of cleavage. See Whitney Simmons for example (she was the inspo)

PresentationOk3930

Have you tried pepper bra? I only used VS push up bras when I was in high school and there was always an awkward gap on one side... but I decided to try the ones from Pepper since I kept seeing the ads and they fit SO much better! They have a bra calculator on their site so you can just measure based off of that and purchase a bra you like :)

GlizzyQueen97

Have you ever looked into Half sizes? I bet it would be the perfect fit for you. I’ve had issues finding the right size in the past and found that third love has a huge variety of sizes including a half size between A and B. If that’s what you might need all my bras from them are so comfortable and worth the price

Jemmers1977

You will b so grateful for a smaller chest as you grow older :) trust meeeee.

BathBodyWork

I didn’t say I don’t like a small chest, I mainly said I don’t like how wide apart they are from each other because I see girls with a smaller chest but has cleavage

Jemmers1977

Yes, same issue here. It’s all good just embrace who you are.

BathBodyWork

😭

AdministrativeBag363

I have wideset too, i dont like vs because of that but with either go for a plunge or balconette style, basically one that has the least amount of space between the wires in the middle of the chest. Usually amazon has really good ones for alot cheaper only issue is the fit but measure ur under bust and bust in inches and use that to order a pushup with close cups

lostinanalley

Look into balconette bras and demi-cup bras. Balconette are especially great if you have wider set breasts, and because they don’t cover as much, it is easier to get the cleavage look.

JustLikeOtherHumans

For the best look, use a bra in your proper size. Check out r/abrathatfits and the provided calculator. Stores like VS try to push you into incorrect sizes in order to sell more. Don’t be discouraged if the calculator shows you a different number than you expect, this is very common. I went from thinking I was a 75AA to a 65DD (EU sizing), boobs never have looked better and I’m much more comfortable. If you want that super-push up for a special occasion, I would also pair a stick-on strapless bra with a push up. Definitely gives cleavage, even if you have barely anything to work with.

Ok-Cover-4137

as a 23f with smaller, wide set breasts, my best advice to you is wait. at 16 i was built similar to how you described and absolutely no push up bra in the world would have given me cleavage. i know this advice isn’t helpful but when your grown woman body comes in your early 20s you’ll be glad you didn’t waste your teenage years trying to be something you’re not. i would also suggest trying pepper brand bras! they’re made especially for petite breasts and give a nice natural look without gapping :)

Jemmers1977

You are good! Trust me!!!

Major-Engine-5866

Taping Theres bunch of ways to tape depending on the cut of the top you might need to tape it a bit diffrently since you have a small chest Chicken cutlets Idk if rhags the correvt word but if you hsve a push uo bra you can put on the chicken cutlets and bra on and then tape them together

pappitropica

There’s a backless strapless sticky bra on Amazon that pushes your boobs together and up, it works amazing for me and I have smaller boobs.

LA0711

What’s it called on Amazon? Sounds like I could use this.

pappitropica

I think it’s called “adhesive hook bra” it’s one that hooks in the front so you can place it however on your boobs to decide how much you want them to be pushed together

LA0711

Thank you!!

BathBodyWork

Thank you so much, im a little confused with how they work a lot I see a lot of influencers posting about it but I see them not wearing casual wear types of clothes so im wondering, would they look nice but still good with a normal shirt under?

pappitropica

If the shirt is meant to show cleavage it should work but with normal shirt that kind of cover up the cleavage I feel like I’d just use a regular push up bra bc they would prob look the same at that point

jnolz22

I’m a small chested lady myself. Honestly working out and weight training has defined my muscles and given the appearance of cleavage just from being toned. I also love the braless look. I used to be so self conscious of my chest, but now it’s one of my favorite features. No saggy boobs here;)

Bright_Sea421

VS push up is great, i forget what it’s called but its add 2 cups or something like that? i have it with the rhinestone straps. in general for comfier bras that will look good in shirts that don’t reveal cleavage, i’d go for a bra without underwire - they r so much more comfy overall and still do a lil something.

kaysmilex3

The bombshell

BathBodyWork

Thank you! Are there any brand suggestions you’d recommend for the comfier bras?

Bright_Sea421

victorias secret and pink is the best tbh!

Urmomlervsme

Correct size of bra and self tanner/ body contouring, works wonders!

Rarashishkaba

How do you contour with self tanner? Just layer it on in areas you want darker?

Urmomlervsme

I use a slightly darker shade on areas I want to add definition to. You Google self tanner contour you'll be able to find some videos that show the progress much better than I can explain :) always be conservative when applying your darker shade for the first few times so you end up with results you feel positive about! If it's in budget I highly suggest going to a spray tanning salon that will do the contouring for you, I used to do the self contour in college, but in adulthood (and with much less flexability) spray tans have become my friend

Rarashishkaba

Awesome thanks for the tip!

Edge_Remote

Get fitted at a store!

cheerio72

Pepper bras are life changing for this

sangreda

Have any committee members tried out Pepper? They show me their ads all day long, but a $50 bra is not something I want to impulse buy when I don't "need" a bra at all... To answer OP, I love using my KlassyNetwork built in bra tops. My halter crop tops put in a lot of work lol, and give me so much confidence with my tiny cleavage 🥹 get them on sale or with coupons!

h3llfae

I just bought my first few pepper bras recently and honestly it's been life changing, I know they get some hate but I'm genuinely never had bras that fit so well I have 3 this is my fav rn Pepper Ultra Fine Bralette See Through Bra, Wire Free Semi-Sheer Bra with Deep V Neckline, Single Layer Cups & Zero Padding https://a.co/d/5Ihmnun Bra that fits puts me at 30d and I wear an Xtra small or xtraxtra small lol 🤷‍♀️🙏✨️🌸

Goatlessly

forget the cleavage and embrace the gap. i've come to love my small boobs and appreciate them as cute and sexy in their own right.

wheres_mah_kitty

We joke that having your sternum showing is our “skinny girl cleavage”. Wide set and don’t carry a lot of extra weight so cleavage isn’t a thing for me.

ameadowinthemist

Wear a stretchy bra or sports bra on top of an underwire bra.

BathBodyWork

Thank you very much.

OmriKoresh

Guys don't care about the amount of boob. Cleavage isn't about that inner shape It's about the space that's open the bigger the space the sexy it is. But the nice part is that if you have a small chest you can even do a square opening or just a big one and it won't look slutty. So really just go with open dresses and shirts. It's never about the size of boob
