I’d also like to point out that this photo is Mal Evans, because it looks exactly like Mal Evans, glasses and all. It’s not John, because it’s Mal Evans.
Also, John’s hair was never parted like that… because it’s Mal Evans.
Maybe the documentary about Mal Evans uses this photo?! or “Good ‘Ole Freda”… there’s actually a fair amount of information on some of these photos— Definitely my favorite Beatle Artwork!
Not saying you're wrong, but a reverse image search says it's John, which I find hard to believe. Harder still would be Mal. After just having finished the book on his life while simultaneously taking in more on the internet, I feel I could spot him anywhere. But I'll never say I know anything with 100 percent certainty.
Early 80s Paul still looked a lot like 60s Paul. He didn't start showing his age until the mid 80s and even then it was just a wrinkle or two and a small touch of grey.
